Experience the mesmerizing world of Leia Mocan's experimental films, performance, and installations at the highly anticipated event, "SOUP OF THE DAY." Presented by The Centre for Creative Practices and D-Light Studios in Dublin, this solo show showcases Leia Mocan's thought-provoking works that delve into topics such as climate change, human nature, and otherness. With a commitment to sustainability and a deep exploration of her Romanian heritage and personal identity, Leia's artistic language captivates audiences with its sharp wit, visual experiments, and exaggeration. Taking place from December 14th to December 21st, 2023, at D-Light Studios on 46 North Great Clarence Street, Dublin, "SOUP OF THE DAY" promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience. The show features six experimental films produced between 2019 and 2023, each offering a unique perspective on pressing issues. Additionally, an immersive installation titled "THE MASS OF DARKNESS" invites visitors to explore sculptural works in darkness, promoting inclusivity and empathy for the visually impaired. Don't miss the artist's life performance, "THE DIARY OF A COTTON THREAD," on the opening night, December 14th, and on Friday, December 15th. An artist's talk will also be held on the latter date, offering an insight into Leia Mocan's creative process and inspirations. The exhibition is open daily from 12 pm to 6 pm.
