This annual tradition is a delightful way to celebrate spring and explore the beautiful scenery of Mercer County. The walk starts and finishes at the Trenton Transit Center, located at 72 South Clinton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08609.

The route takes participants through a variety of landscapes, including urban areas, parks, and trails. You'll have the opportunity to discover new trails and territory in Mercer County while enjoying river views and walking along the towpath. The walk includes highlights such as the Old Barracks, State Capitol, Calhoun St Bridge, Roebling swing bridge, Stacy Park, Cadwalader Park, Johnson Trolley Trail, Ryder College, and Dyson Tract.

Parking is available at the Trenton RiverLine parking lot for $7. The walk is suitable for individuals of average fitness level and is categorized under nature and urban. The terrain is a mix of paved and gravel paths.

The Spring Ahead Loop Walk is organized in partnership with the East Coast Greenway Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing a public multi-use trail from Canada to Key West through New Jersey and New York. Donations and memberships support the development of this dream trail. Additionally, the walk is part of the Circuit Trails network, which aims to create a premier urban trail network in Greater Philadelphia.
