Srishti: Pathways presents a captivating performance of classical Indian dance, showcasing the talent of a new generation of British-South Asian dancers. This ambitious production, held at New College Bradford in Broomfields, features the timeless art of Bharatanatyam, characterized by its powerful rhythm, exquisite movements, and striking ensemble work. The performance includes three works by award-winning choreographer Nina Rajarani MBE, Artistic Director of Srishti, as well as a specially commissioned piece by guest choreographer Mavin Khoo. The music score for the evening has been masterfully created by versatile composer and Karnatik vocalist Y Yadavan.

Originating in the temples of southern India, Bharatanatyam is a classical dance style renowned for its strong lines, geometric precision, and expressive mime. It has gained popularity and recognition as one of the most versatile classical Indian dance styles worldwide.

Srishti – Nina Rajarani Dance Creations is proud to support the development of the next generation of British dancers through this exciting new initiative. Thanks to the generous funding from Arts Council England and the support of Harrow Arts Centre, Harrow Council, and Creative Academy, Slough, this event showcases the depth of talent within the British-South Asian dance community.

Please note that our building will be closed for redevelopment in 2024. As a result, all events will be held at various locations around Bradford. The event "Srishti: Pathways" will take place at New College Bradford in Broomfields on March 2, 2024. Admission to this performance is free, allowing you to enjoy the show without financial risk.
