WBFO presents "It's a Wonderful Life - A Radio-Play Production of BTPM," a captivating project that brings back the nostalgic charm of a live radio play. This unique event, in collaboration with the theatre department of Niagara University, will take place at WNED PBS Studios in Buffalo on December 16, 2023. The performance will transport audiences to a bygone era, complete with a studio audience, talented voice actors, and foley sound effects. The chosen holiday classic, "It's a Wonderful Life," tells the heartwarming story of George Bailey, a selfless man who sacrifices his own dreams to help his community. This radio play will be accompanied by music, exceptional voice acting, and immersive sound effects. To pay homage to the tradition of radio dramas, BTPM staff members will perform satirical promotional announcements as "commercials" during the breaks in the show. There will be two recorded performances, providing an exclusive glimpse into the behind-the-scenes process. The first performance, the Dress Rehearsal, will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with doors opening at 10:15 am. The final taping of the show will take place from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with doors opening at 3:15 pm. The ticket price for both performances is $15 per person, and general admission seating applies. It's important to note that this is a live radio production, which will be broadcast on WBFO at a later time. Attendees are kindly requested to remain seated for the entire duration of the performance to maintain the authenticity of the experience.
