This unique workshop offers an opportunity to express awareness, gratitude, and reflect on generations through the art-making process. Using mixed media materials and reflective practices, participants will create a piece of art inspired by their own history and dreams. The workshop explores ways to recognize and honor our generational tree, acknowledging the many gifts from our ancestors. It also aims to connect participants to a bigger interconnected sense of self and community. Through somatic exercises, breathing, and visualization, attendees will have the chance to express awareness and gratitude. The process also involves reflection and reframing by preparing collage pieces and drafting a visual story for the canvas. Acrylic paints, color pencils, glue/matte medium, scissors, and magazines will be provided. Participants must bring a canvas (16x16 or larger) and optional paper keepsakes or photos.
