Join a workshop with a member of the collective "Libri Finti Clandestini" at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Hamburg. This workshop, called "Workshop: Gestalte ein Buch aus Papierresten," will take place on March 15, 2024, as part of the Italian Design Day celebration. The Italian Design Day, celebrated on March 14 globally, focuses on the values of inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability. As Italy will be the guest country at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2024, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Hamburg is dedicating this event to Italy's outstanding expertise in book design. During the four-hour workshop, participants aged ten and above will have the opportunity to create their own artist book using paper remnants. Guided by a member of the Italian artist collective Libri Finti Clandestini, they will learn various layout and binding techniques, as well as explore different types of paper and cardboard. The process of creating a book requires knowledge and skill in layout, design, illustration, bookbinding, and fine art printing. This workshop offers an engaging and educational experience for those interested in delving into the world of book design. The workshop "Workshop: Gestalte ein Buch aus Papierresten" will be held at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Hamburg, located at Hansastraße 6, 20149 Hamburg. Admission is free.
