Join Arthrive at Indy Reads in Indianapolis on January 13th, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm for an engaging hands-on community art workshop. This inclusive event is suitable for all ages and will focus on the art of printmaking. Participants will have the opportunity to try Arthrive's new community art kit, which conveniently transforms into a portable tabletop printmaking studio. The collaborative nature of the printmaking process requires two people, resulting in unique rainbow-rolled prints that will be shared both at the studio event and in public spaces throughout the community. These prints will become part of a public art archive, and individuals are encouraged to return them to the public space. Erin Harper Vernon, a passionate artist, educator, and the founder of Arthrive, believes in the power of volunteerism and social impact through art. With a background in design, photography, printmaking, and film, Erin seeks to connect people through collaborative art-making, fostering empathy and cultural connections. In alignment with her vision, this event operates on a Pay-What-You-Can basis, ensuring accessibility for all. Various donation options are available, from a suggested free ticket for those unable to contribute financially to $10 or $20 donations covering the cost of one or two attendees, respectively. Indy Reads is grateful for the support of its community, as it strives to provide enriching programming and promote literacy for all.
