The Y1-2 Rapid Fire Cricket Tournament is set to take place at Skinners' Kent Primary School in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Schools from the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells area are invited to participate in this exciting event on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm. A maximum of 12 schools will have the opportunity to enter one team each, consisting of 10 children with 8 players on the field at a time, including a minimum of 2 children from each gender. The tournament will follow specific rules and game play guidelines, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants. Parent spectators are not allowed, but drop-offs can be made at designated areas to access the school field. Team sheets must be submitted in advance, and additional places may become available closer to the event date. Points will be awarded based on wins, ties, and losses during the group stages, with tie-breakers decided by a sudden death play-off. The organizers' decisions regarding the tournament are final.
