The director was incredibly welcoming, telling us about the troupe's history—over a hundred years old, a self-organized group of locals who perform during festivals. After the rehearsal, we were even allowed to try on costumes, have simple makeup done, and take some photos. The veteran actors even taught us a few simple lines of lyrics. Sitting on the wooden chairs in the theater, watching the actors rehearse earnestly, and listening to the familiar tunes, I was instantly transported back to a slower, more peaceful time. This warm, human touch is something modern cinemas simply can't provide. Even after returning home, the lyrics lingered in my mind, leaving a lasting impression.

Location is excellent given it is connected to the shopping mall so no impact rain or shine but there seems to be no designated car pick up or drop off point and empty taxis (those only willing to go to airport!) are always occupying the area right in front of the main entrance on Canton Road thus making the rest of the people trying to get rides very dangerous as our cars will have to double park and let us get on in the middle of the road!
The hotel is an old hotel but recently renovated so although decor and furnitures show its age, it’s still quite functional, even for those with wheelchairs. Room is spacious and bathroom has both bath tub and shower but the toilet flushing is a bit slow.
Hotel was kind enough to upgrade our suite to the executive floor and we were met by very professional and friendly staff there. When we asked for a shower chair for my mom who uses a wheelchair, they promptly provided one!
Special thanks to all the personnel on the executive floor who were helpful and attentive, as well as to the Concierge team who assisted us with our freezer storage requests!

From the airport, you can take bus A21 for five stops, get off at Metropark Hotel Mongkok, and it's about a ten-minute walk from there. If you need to go to Futian Port, it's also very convenient; just take the train from Mong Kok East straight to Lok Ma Chau without changing lines. The hotel has many rooms, but the soundproofing is good, so it's quite quiet. The staff are all very efficient. I felt the fridge in my room wasn't cold enough, so I immediately called engineering, and they came to check it out. They tested the cooling, and it was fine. We checked in at the hotel and expected the room to feel clean and comfortable. However, we were met by a room that didn't feel very clean. The wallpaper on the looked a bit loose in the seems, color was coming off on the edge of the ceilings and the carpet on the floor had some visible dark spots/stains. The bathroom floor also had dark stains/spots and the shower was pretty hard to operate as it was a bit difficult to turn off. The bathroom sink seemed a little clogged as water ran down very slowly. We also noticed some hairs on the floor of the bedroom that wasn't ours.
We were three people sharing a room and it got a little cramped. Two is better to not feel like it's too small. We paid around ~1020 HKD per night for the room which felt a bit expensive considering the condition the room was in.
The location was great though and the staff was nice. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the metro and travelling around the city is easy. It is also close to restaurants, shopping and convenience stores.

We were on the 15th floor, and when we left around 10 AM, we barely heard any noise from the room. The room itself was decent, spacious enough to fully open two 28-inch suitcases. The hotel's location is also very convenient; you can get here from the airport by taking bus A21/A22 or the MTR. It's about a 10-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station to the hotel. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining options like Lin Heung Tea House, Yung Kee Roast Goose, Chung So Dessert, Wa So Cafe, an egg tart shop, and Haidilao. For shopping, there's Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Don Quijote, 7-11, and Wellcome Supermarket. The street right outside the hotel is Kimberley Road, and our driver told us this area is Hong Kong's 'Korean Street,' so you'll find lots of Korean restaurants around! 1. The room was better than I expected. I was a bit worried about the cleanliness at this price point in Hong Kong, but I felt much more at ease after arriving. The overall hygiene was good, and they even provided a wooden toothbrush, though I brought my own and didn't need it.
2. The front desk staff and the person handling luggage were very friendly. I locked my room card inside the room, and they helped me resolve it. They even gave me some chocolates afterwards.
3. The room is indeed much smaller compared to Guangzhou, so be prepared for that. However, I was only staying for one night, so it was acceptable.
4. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation. To get to the high-speed rail station, you can walk to Tsim Sha Tsui East Station and take the MTR to Austin. It's also very convenient for getting to Central or other places.
5. Areas for improvement:
- I kept pressing the elevator floor button with no response. It turns out you need to swipe your card first. I suggest they put up a sign with instructions.
- I thought there was no hairdryer, so I didn't wash my hair. Only the next day did I find it in a cabinet outside the bathroom. I suggest placing it in a more visible spot in the bathroom (e.g., above where the toiletries are).FromMYR 240

My main complaint, which seems to be a common issue, was the connecting door between our two rooms. It didn't open and provided zero sound insulation. I checked in late (around 1am) and there was someone available at the front desk. I didn't have to wait. I was upgraded to a room with a bigger bed which was appreciated. The room itself was clean and spacious enough. During check-in I was told that there is construction happening during the day and it can get loud. But I wasn't at the hotel during the day so didn't notice it. One of the most convenient things for me was that across the hotel there is a 24 hr self service laundromat. It has instructions in english and uses the octopus card for payment. So on the last day of my trip I was able to wash and dry my clothes before they got back in the suitcase. ~Location: The hotel is located at an intersection, just a few steps away from McDonald's, ParknShop supermarket, and 7-Eleven. Across the street, there are various restaurants serving Korean, *********, Chaoshan, Vietnamese, and Singaporean cuisine, all at reasonable prices, usually under 100 HKD.
~Transportation: The hotel shuttle stops at Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Elements Mall at Kowloon Station. The bus has automatic doors, and you just wave to get on at designated spots. The Olympic and Nam Cheong MTR stations are about a ten-minute walk away. There are also bus and mini-bus stops near the hotel, which are very convenient if you know how to use them. On a business trip, I once again stayed at the Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West, located at 8 Yeung Uk Road. It's conveniently situated near Tsuen Wan Plaza, Tsuen Wan Park, Yeung Uk Road Market, Tsuen Wan West MTR Station, Tsuen Wan Plaza, and The Mills. The transportation is excellent, and there are plenty of dining and entertainment options!
The hotel is divided into high and low blocks, reaching up to 87 floors, making it the tallest five-star hotel in the New Territories. Below the hotel, there's a shopping mall and office space. Inside, you'll find the flagship Chinese restaurant 'Rú', the all-day buffet restaurant Café Circles, and the trendy pastry brand Nina Patisserie. The hotel also boasts a spacious outdoor swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness center, allowing guests to fully relax and unwind.
The room size is ample, and basic amenities are comprehensive. Besides local basic channels, the TV also offers cable and satellite TV. However, it's a pity there's no access to streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+! The bathroom even has a bathtub, which I appreciate for a relaxing soak! Thanks to the hotel's height, you can enjoy panoramic views of Tsuen Wan and the Ting Kau Bridge, which is truly invigorating. The price is reasonable, offering great value for money!FromMYR 318

The room was a bit dated, but the location is absolutely fantastic. It's super convenient for dining, shopping, enjoying Victoria Harbour views, and getting around. The younger staff were much more pleasant than the middle-aged female staff. However, for a Hong Kong hotel, the space is quite large, and there's a pool. The beds, though, definitely need an upgrade. One of my favorite budget hotels I've ever tried and so far favorite budget hotel in Hong Kong. Important feature mold level is way lower than many hotels in HK. I stayed for about 9 nights and did not feel yucky, however can't say the same for other budget hotels in HK ans Guangdong. If your room has a mildew smell, ask to switch rooms, because mine was good. Super close to subway station and easy base to explore from.FromMYR 178

If anybody wants to come in Hong Kong , I would strongly recommend you to take thie hotel , the spa and the indoor swimming pool is amazing and it s perfect located . Easy to get anywhere. Stayed in the Ocean Front room with 2 queen beds & the view couldn’t be beaten. An absolute pleasure to watch the ships coming and going. The breakfast at the hotel was awesome & had great Western options for the whole family. We also used the free shuttle to two MTR stations, making travel around very easy. Shuttles run every 30 minutes. While the hotel isn’t centrally located, the services they provide make up for it. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay!FromMYR 522
