Everything else was good, except for the lack of Chinese-speaking staff. They offer late check-out and you can exchange currency at the hotel. There's a scenic restaurant on the top floor. The room was a bit small, but the design was quite practical. Across the street is a university, and there are small restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Breakfast was incredibly rich and excellent value for money. Highly recommended, you'll regret it if you don't try it!

My stay at the Wyndham hotel was decent overall. The location was super convenient, making it easy to grab a bite or catch a taxi. The room itself was a bit small and felt cramped. The hotel facilities were noticeably old, with outdated furniture and appliances that weren't particularly well-maintained. However, there were some definite highlights. The breakfast spread was incredibly varied and tasty – I left feeling very satisfied. Plus, the hotel had a gym with all the basic equipment, which was great for a quick workout to unwind. Overall, its strengths are the excellent location, the wide breakfast selection, and the gym. But if you're bothered by small rooms and old facilities, you might want to consider other options.

Perfect stay at the Novotel city centre, upon checking in Armand at reception noticed it was my daughter’s birthday few days ago so he gave my daughter & son as toy gift which was very sweet! The hotel has decent clean rooms & it’s in the perfect location, the Koke tobe cable carts are next door & Dostyk mall is a 15mins walk away. The hotel had a great breakfast spread with fresh pastries and a variety of food choices, lunch & dinner menu can be improved a little but still ok it just has a limited variety. Unfortunately, the pool & spa was under maintenance so was not open so we couldn’t use. Also thanks to Armand we got a late check out for both our rooms! A very nice jolly chap!

This is a lovely hotel with great charm and character in the centre of Almaty in a perfect location by parks and pedestrianised streets, cafes and restaurants. The breakfast is great. The deluxe room was wonderful but didnt have nice views. The standard single room was fine amd views better. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful but one or two could improve their customer service by being more relaxed and friendly

Overall, it was a good stay. The room was cleaned promptly every day. However, mineral water wasn't provided in the room, and the shower was inside the bathtub. The bed was very comfortable and soft, and the desk was also large. Breakfast was good, with a decent variety and taste, but if purchased separately, it cost 11,000 KZT. It feels more like a hotel suited for business travelers.

The best and the most expensive hotel in Almaty. Service is perfect, staff try to help in all questions. Breakfast huge and tasty, there is everything, even common quail eggs… Rooms big and have nice views to city or mountais. Gym is very good too. Hotel Uyut is in a good location, not too far from the subway and a short walk to restaurants and shops. The room was clean and comfortable enough. Television had plenty of different channels. There is a very small jacuzzi cold pool and a sauna which you can book for a private time. The sauna was great, but the pool jacuzzi bubbles only lasted less than 1 minute. The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing. There was a lack of food at certain times and the coffee machine wasn't working on the last day I was there. The hotel seemed to struggle with the number of guests, one day there was a lack of seats in the breakfast room when I turned up and there were often wait times when waiting for the lift / elevator.

Booked this hotel because it was near to the airport, and being only 20 minutes away made for a great stopover between flights. That said, the hotel itself has plenty to offer. The rooms are nice and clean. We actually had an issue where we had too much hot water which is sort of the opposite problem of what you'd expect. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also had plenty of water coolers around to refill bottles, which is a nice touch not all hotels would offer. We didn't use the pool, but we saw that it was large and plenty of people were using it. Breakfast was simple, but did enough to cover all the bases. All in all, would recommend a stay here. Especially if you're looking for somewhere near the airport to crash.

Overall, it was a good stay. The hotel has beautiful mountain views and a large, green property, although there aren’t enough walking paths throughout the grounds. The overall atmosphere still feels like the Soviet-era resort it once was, and that is reflected in the service as well. The restaurants are decent, but they’re overpriced, and it would be much more convenient if they had online menus. One downside is that guests are not allowed to use the spa after check-out.

I specifically chose this hotel because I came to Almaty for a Kanye West concert. It was the closest option to the venue, so I found its location to be very convenient. The room cost about 7,000 rubles per night, and I stayed for two nights. Pros: First and foremost, the location and the availability of breakfast. And that's pretty much where the pros end for me. Breakfast is available, but something is always missing: food runs out, items aren't replenished immediately, I had to remind them about coffee, and I also had to ask for more milk in the jug. Overall, everything looks quite messy and untidy. For example, a tray of melons was even overturned. It gives the impression that order is not closely monitored. Unfortunately, I had the same impression of the room. Despite costing around 7,000 rubles per night, the Jacuzzi had black mold and the tub itself was dirty. I was frankly disgusted and reluctant to use it. I found black hairs on the bed, even though I'm a blonde myself. Otherwise, the bed looked clean, and I want to hope that the bed linen was indeed fresh. In the bathroom, a tile was chipped, and the wallpaper was bubbling. The very fact of having wallpaper in the bathroom seems quite strange. Moreover, there was no access panel covering the space with pipes, where there was dust, dirt, and various debris. There was even an empty Coca-Cola bottle inside. In the living room, there were also some stains on the sofa and armchairs. Overall, everything looks very tired and needs at least a good cosmetic renovation and more thorough cleaning. It gives the impression that this hotel was once truly beautiful and popular, but now it has significantly deteriorated. However, I want to commend the administrators: they are friendly and try to help when asked. For example, they readily provided me with a certificate of accommodation. But, unfortunately, the good attitude of the staff does not compensate for the overall condition of the hotel. I would not return here and cannot recommend this hotel. The only thing I genuinely liked was the convenient location. If the hotel undergoes renovation, gets the rooms in order, and pays more attention to cleanliness and breakfast service, I think it could have a second life. But in its current state, the rooms are objectively very tired, and the level of cleanliness was unacceptable to me.

I stayed here on my last day before returning home. The location is great, quite central. The shower room has a bathtub, but the half-panel screen meant water ended up all over the floor. The room size was okay, not particularly spacious. While there was an open view from the room, it wasn't a mountain view or anything special. For breakfast, the hot food wasn't great, but the salads and cold dishes were delicious.

The room is good for one person. The bed was comfortable and the heating is decent. Wifi is fast enough for me to work. Daily housekeeping is great. The breakfast options are sufficient but their coffee machine keeps on running out of Chocolate, sometimes it just dispensed dark water. The location of the hotel is ideal. The staff can speak English and they helped me with some of my requests. I initially stayed for 4 nights andextended my stay for one night and my key card stopped working on the final day, they had to reactivate it. The daily breakfast was served in the ground floor restaurant which is quite dark and not ideal. Overall i had a pleasant stay, and would consider booking this hotel again when I return to Almaty.

This is a relatively new hotel. It's less than a 5-minute walk to the pedestrian street, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite; one room had a king-sized bed, and the other had two twin beds which could be pushed together if needed. It also came with two bathrooms. Kazakhstan often has water shortages – at our last hotel in the lake district, there was no water provided – but here, you can get water from the dispenser in the hallway, which is a nice touch.

Getting here by taxi from the city center was super convenient. I stayed for two nights. On the first day, I saw a glimpse of a 'golden mountain' at the top, and on the second day, there was heavy snow – the scenery was absolutely stunning! There's a shuttle bus service for getting up and down the mountain after check-in. If you're short on time and miss the shuttle, it's also easy to just grab a taxi. The hotel description was a bit sparse. The minibar is complimentary and replenished daily. The sauna was also great. Someone will help with your luggage, but it's good to mention it beforehand. You'll need to download another chat app (WhatsApp, I assume) in advance, as most requests are handled there, and responses are pretty quick. The views are beautiful and well worth it. Plus, the famous Top 50 restaurant is right next door. Breakfast is delivered to the room, but it was a bit monotonous.

Everything was okay, except for one thing: I asked for a higher floor and to be away from the elevator, but I was placed on a low floor facing air conditioners and right next to the elevator. When I asked to be moved, they said there were no rooms available (which was untrue, as I checked on *********** out of curiosity). The staff described some tourists as 'too picky,' which is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, it was a mediocre experience. The location, however, was excellent. I stayed here for a business trip. The location is a bit far from the city center, but it's convenient with restaurants, coffee shops, and a shopping mall nearby. There's also a local mini-supermarket about a 2-minute walk away, which was very handy. I'd seen previous reviews mentioning that rooms on the 10th floor were under renovation, so I requested a mid-floor room just in case. I went up to the 10th floor when I went to the gym and it seemed the construction was finished. **What I liked:** * The staff were relatively friendly, especially the front desk staff. * The room was spacious. * Breakfast was decent. * Wi-Fi was stable. * It's pleasantly quiet, being slightly outside the main center. **What I didn't like:** * The bathtub drainage was poor. * The water sometimes looked slightly cloudy. * The shower temperature was occasionally unstable. * Even with all the lights on, the room was a bit dim.

Great central location for solo traveler city explorations. The property is underground so no windows but the atmosphere was cozy although the staff were very reserved. Straight faces with no bs but helpful. A crew of well managed hardworking staff keeping the property tip top the whole time.  There's a sauna in the mens shared bathroom which was nice to use when the temperature at night dropped due to rain, even in the summer during my stay. The only thing I found rather mysterious was the washing machines, specifically the dryers. All 4 of them kept looping and didn't seem to had stopped at all for any opportunity to use even thought I kept checking the whole time I was resting in the property. You'll see. I'd pick to stay here again, no doubt.

I was genuinely surprised by how wonderful this place is. I never expected to enjoy a capsule hotel so much. I really liked both the interior and exterior designs. Inside, everything is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. Upon check-in, they provide slippers, and you can wear them around the hotel, which helps keep everything very clean and pleasant. The capsule rooms are small but incredibly cozy. Inside, there's a carpet, lamps, and everything is neat and well-thought-out. It's exceptionally clean. The bedding is comfortable, and it's genuinely pleasant to sleep. I particularly liked the lighting: you can make it bright or switch to a softer, warmer light, which is perfect for relaxing and getting a good night's sleep. There's a very nice and cozy communal kitchen where you can heat up your food. There's also a shared refrigerator where you can store your groceries. Additionally, there's a laundry room and a lounge area with tables where you can sit quietly. Because guests are encouraged to wear slippers or socks in the hotel, the cleanliness is impeccable. The entire space gives off the impression of a very well-maintained and pleasant place. I'd also like to commend the responsive staff. They had no trouble providing accommodation documents with QR codes, which was convenient for me. This is a truly great place. I really enjoyed it. If I come back to Kazakhstan, especially Almaty, I would happily stay here again. I definitely recommend this hotel. We booked this hotel for an overnight stay between flights. The room was clean and new, with excellent plumbing and heated floors in the bathroom. The towels were pristine white, and the bed was large, soft, and comfortable. The bed linen was new and smelled lovely – we slept better than we do at home! There's also a restaurant on the ground floor; my husband ordered a late dinner, and it was delicious with generous portions. In the morning, it took us 18 minutes by taxi to get to the airport.

Located in a residential area near the international bus station, the property has several small supermarkets that accept Alipay, which is quite convenient. The room was very clean, and the owner speaks Chinese.

The hotel's location is the only positive. The information about the hotel in the app is outdated: there's no transfer service, no option to adjust dates (like check-out), and no air conditioning (cooling type) as it's not included in the economy room. Upon arrival, the toilet flush wasn't working in the room; it was only fixed after we mentioned it. Soundproofing is non-existent: people going up the stairs or in the hallway sound like they're right in your room. There's no water cooler; you have to buy a bottle of water at reception for 500 tenge, and bring your own tea/coffee/sugar. Bring your own toiletries; everything here is minimal, and there's only one pair of slippers for two guests, at least in the economy room. The only pro is the availability of Wi-Fi. Within walking distance, there's the 24/7 cafe ”Coffee Original” and the Aray shop.
