Resort was still on development. Trevi type fountain still to open by 3rd quarter. Mini villas with own plunge pool still to be opened by the 4th quarter. For an expensive suite , the bathroom was quite small , doesn’t even have a bathtub. But the internet Tv , cool AC and terrace was a nice touch. Breakfast buffet quite simple for that “luxury “ tag. But the service was just fascinating. Their butlers do extreme service , such as Michael who went out of his way to look for available accommodation for my driver. And Vince who not only did a property tour for us but also showed his splendid photography skills by doing great photos. Being welcomed by GM Frencine and FD officer Faye was also factors making it a memorable experience. Will come back in the near future to try their ultra expensive villas which has a private pool , koi fish pond and of course Alexa the voice control machinery.From$141

However, I was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the restroom, the weak water supply in the room's shower, and the high prices of food. I never expected this level of hotel in Mariveles. I was bracing for spartan accommodation given that it is in the province. However I was surprised to see a standard hotel with various facials rooms and wide spaces. There was even a fire dance and I live band the day we were booked. There was an initial hiccup during the second period because they were off-line and couldn’t access the booking app however it was quickly resolved upon very strong persuasion to the girl in front desk.From$73

Less than 3hr drive from makati, La Jolla is an excellent beach getaway destination. Rooms are clean and comfortable- premium rooms have sea views while deluxe rooms face the garden/interior road. There are 2 pools- one infinity pool at the beach and one kids pool/small lagoon pool up by the main lobby and playground. The beach is the main attraction- soft white grey sand, very few small rocks. Shallow drop similar to boracay makes it very family friendly. Nice trees provide shade near the sunbeds. Food- main restaurant has the breakfast buffet, while the beach restaurant serves lunch & dinner. The menu is limited, but portions are generous for the price and food was quite good. Pepperoni Pizza was good, and the chicken inasal & pinakbet with lechon kawali were delicious. The hamburger was the only item that we didn’t like the taste of. We had to preorder in advance since some menu items were not available and the service would take time. Staff are very friendly, but we did need to remind them almost daily to clean our room. WiFi is available and globe signal is significantly weaker than smart. Rooms have cignal tv. Special mention to Joyce, mark and the rest of the f&b crew for tirelessly serving the guests during the Christmas break! We will definitely go back soon. From$94

This is the 4th hotel I styed in Mariveles and at last we found gem in the heart of the FAB district. Staffs: Excellent service and always helpful and smiling. Rooms: Very clean and the size is good enough for a couple. Free WiFi, numbers of TV channels, fridge and unlimited drinking water supply that you can get from the dispenser outside. Coffee and tea in the room with small water cooker, simple and enough supply of amenities. Street parking is allowed and there is always a night watch. Banks and ATM are just 50 meters away, there is a convenient store and a coffee shop 100 meters away. It takes 5 minutes to drive to the dry and wet market which is the best fish market in the province of Bataan. If you are in Mariveles during summer time, try to get a tripping to Five Fingers. If you fancy hiking and trekking, take the 8 hours hike to Mt. Tarak which is one of the best spot in Bataan, be sure to start at 0600 am from the entrance.From$50

I'm so glad that I chose this hotel when I came to Subic for the first time. The staff is very friendly and always greets me with a smile! They will help solve problems when we encounter them. This trip happened on Taiwan’s New Year’s Eve, and they even provided a beautiful dining area for us to use! Thank you so much! Having breakfast by the pool is very special! Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a picture perfect place until you have to live in it. Our family (6 adults + 2 children) stayed here overnight. The only means to reach your hotel room is through a jeepney / coaster ride. We were checked in before 3pm, but was only able to enter our room at 4pm. The closest food vendor was already closed even though its advertised operating hours is up to 6pm. We had to wait for 2 more hours before another restaurant opened.
The beach is about a minute walk from your hotel room which was fantastic. However, all restaurants, vendors are a 10 minute walk from the hotel room. Imagine a 10 minute walk under a scorching summer sun. You could take a jeep to the town square, that is if you're lucky enough to catch one. The facility is broken down into multiple areas. This is both a feature & a limitation. If you like long walks and beautiful views, this is perfect. If you're travelling with a disabled person or with small children, this is a challenge.
There was an easter egg hunt the following morning, and plenty of walking and jeepney tours to be had. The place is even more beautiful at night, with all the lights and festivities.
Come the end of our stay, we checked out around 12nn. However we were picked up by a jeep roughly around 1pm. The checkout process was relatively easy, but again , it was our trip back to the front of the resort / parking area that took a while.
Overall it was a pleasant vacation. The resort crew were very nice and helpful. I would recommend others visit the place and enjoy a day trip instead.From$88

Resort was still on development. Trevi type fountain still to open by 3rd quarter. Mini villas with own plunge pool still to be opened by the 4th quarter. For an expensive suite , the bathroom was quite small , doesn’t even have a bathtub. But the internet Tv , cool AC and terrace was a nice touch. Breakfast buffet quite simple for that “luxury “ tag. But the service was just fascinating. Their butlers do extreme service , such as Michael who went out of his way to look for available accommodation for my driver. And Vince who not only did a property tour for us but also showed his splendid photography skills by doing great photos. Being welcomed by GM Frencine and FD officer Faye was also factors making it a memorable experience. Will come back in the near future to try their ultra expensive villas which has a private pool , koi fish pond and of course Alexa the voice control machinery.From$141

Rooms are clean and comfortable- premium rooms have sea views while deluxe rooms face the garden/interior road. There are 2 pools- one infinity pool at the beach and one kids pool/small lagoon pool up by the main lobby and playground. The beach is the main attraction- soft white grey sand, very few small rocks. Shallow drop similar to boracay makes it very family friendly. Nice trees provide shade near the sunbeds. Food- main restaurant has the breakfast buffet, while the beach restaurant serves lunch & dinner. The menu is limited, but portions are generous for the price and food was quite good. Pepperoni Pizza was good, and the chicken inasal & pinakbet with lechon kawali were delicious. The hamburger was the only item that we didn’t like the taste of. We had to preorder in advance since some menu items were not available and the service would take time. Staff are very friendly, but we did need to remind them almost daily to clean our room. WiFi is available and globe signal is significantly weaker than smart. Rooms have cignal tv. Special mention to Joyce, mark and the rest of the f&b crew for tirelessly serving the guests during the Christmas break! We will definitely go back soon.
