Two bathrooms (although the upstairs one is mostly for children due to its small size). Plenty of off-street parking, easy keypad check in, and local co-host keep your stay worry-free.We want Sage Cottage to be a pleasant happy place for you to stay while visiting Carlsbad. Whether you are here for vacation, for work, or any other reason we hope you will be comfortable here. We love the home because it feels like a sweet little dollhouse while still being comfortable and functional. Downstairs we have two bedrooms, charming living room, complete kitchen with dining space, the main bath with tub shower combo, and two bedrooms. The front bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, large closet, and room darkening curtains. The back bedroom has a full size bed ( sleeps two but smaller than a queen), closet, and room darkening curtains. The living room has a sofa bed, although it's not particularly comfortable. Upstairs in the charming attic we have two twin beds, a desk/ study area, and an adorable/hilarious little vintage bathroom. Home has a large fully fenced backyard with patio, and pets and kids are welcome.Convenient, easy access to town due to location on a major thoroughfare through town. Little secret studio on the back of the main house, featuring a king size bed, kitchenette, massage chair, dinette, private entry, walk in shower, tv with streaming, wifi and large closets. Can sleep 2 comfortably, or up to 4 if you can squeeze on the futon. Cool mid century vibe. Shares access to the back yard, patio, w/ main house/guesthouse. The Private guest space is separated from the main house by a solid wood locked door.The spaceThe Mirage is a little hotel style studio apartment tucked behind the main house. It has a private exterior entrance of its own, so you check in without any contact with the host and will have no one in your interior private space, but the yard is shared and the structure of the home is shared ( like the roof, and one wall.) There IS a door inside the apartment that leads into the main house- that door is always kept locked and is lockable from both sides. The apartment has a king size bed, ceiling fan, and mini-split AC/heat. The "living area" has a small double size futon, a massage chair, and a tv with roku and streaming services, as well as a little dining table and chairs. There is a simple kitchenette with a 2 burner-stovetop, mini-fridge, sink, coffee maker, and toaster oven/air fryer combo. Heading into the ensuite bathroom there are two large closets, a huge spa shower with multiple showerheads, and double sinks. There is wifi as well.In addition to the private space, you also have access to the outdoor spaces on the property, that are shared with the main house (currently 1 occupant) and guesthouse ( up to 4 occupants). There is a patio with hammocks, and some kids toys as well. Guest accessGuests have private access to the studio apartment, as well as shared access to the exterior areas of the property.Other things to noteNote: Check in is by keycode, but by 9 pm please. ( the lighting for the walkway is too bright for our neighbors, so it shuts off at 9 pm).Parking- street parking only. Experience True New Mexico in this traditional Adobe home in Carlsbad. Built in the 1920s, this home has been lovingly updated to modern standards while keeping its rustic charm. Wood ceilings, southwestern decor, & thick adobe walls for peace and quiet. Upstairs there is a kitchen, large living room with 2 sofas & formal dining room. Downstairs in the daylight basement, 3 bedrooms with 2 queen beds & 2 twins. Sleeps up to 8 guests! Great location- walk to Albertsons or CVS or restaurants!We love this house because it feels so sturdy and cozy, like it's been here a 100 years ( because it has!) but it still has the modern amenities. It has both central air& heat (upstairs only) and mini split AC units in each bedroom( downstairs). Thick adobe walls keep the noise of the world and the New Mexico wind out, so it is peaceful and quiet inside. The location is safe and convenient- walkable to the center hub of town, but on a well lit residential street set back from the main road. We are about 30 minutes from the caverns. Upstairs we have the living room with dark rustic wood ceilings and original hardwood floors decorated with comfy leather chesterfield sofas ( sleep 2 people if your group has 8), antique coffee table and southwestern pottery/ art/ rugs. The home has WiFi and TV with Roku lets you login to your streaming accounts. There is a stocked kitchen with stainless steel large fridge, dishwasher, and electric range. We provide coffee and tea and spices to get you started, and the little eat-in area seats 2. More seating in the spacious formal dining room with vintage dining set. Access to the backyard is through the kitchen to the large shady fully fenced yard and back patio. Downstairs in the daylight basement there are three bedrooms ( two queen beds, two twin beds) and the full bathroom. Bedrooms have solid wood bedframes, fluffy cotton European duvets and fuzzy throw blankets, plenty of space, desk/ seating areas, and a few toys for the kids. In the bathroom, we provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner plus fresh clean towels for our guests.See our guidebook for tips and suggestions of what to do during your stay. Simply a wonderful remodeled ranch style home nestled on top of the 15 acre oasis estate. The interior is fully remodeled with an open kitchen, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, kitchen island, pantry and breakfast bar, 56 inch flat screen tv in living room, reclining leather couches and refrigerated air. Home features 6 bedrooms, four which have their own bathrooms and a fifth community 3/4 bathroom with walk-in shower. The oversized master suite includes its own sitting area, office work space, bay windows, walk-in closet and separate entrance. Overall, we have 3 king beds, 1 queen, and 4 twin beds. Comfortable setting for 12 guests. Each bedroom also includes satellite tv and high speed 100mb/s wifi internet. Enjoy the open backyard with propane barbecue grill and six person patio table with additional chairs provided. You may also enjoy sitting upfront under the covered patio with additional seating. The room was clean and refreshing, the front desk was good and enthusiastic. Breakfast saves a lot of things. The surrounding area is more convenient, it is convenient to drive to Walmart or restaurants, less than 30 minutes drive from Carlsbad Cave.

Employes were courteous and attentive. The room was clean and the water pressure is the shower was good. I am still trying to get use to the covid 19 changes, self serve pre packaged take to your room microwave breakfast was not bad just different.

Hotel was good, great price for the room. Staff was friendly and they have hot breakfast in the mornings. Room was clean. The only complaint was the stairways climbing up and down with luggage is NO fun. Plus there were a lot of cigarette butts on the stairs from smokers in non smoking rooms.

The overall is still comfortable, but the sound insulation is a bit poor, and the noise of the next room has been heard in the middle of the night. The refrigerator has also been disturbed by sound. If there is a hair dryer, it will be more divided.
