Outstanding Gold Standard Hotel. We stayed five nights in the hotel, and from the time we arrived, we enjoyed the most outstanding professional and welcoming hospitality of the hotel staff. To our suprise, most of the staff communicated well in English and were always welcoming, professional, and friendly. The superior studio provided a spectacular view of the Danube River and the majestic Chain Bridge. The view of the city was absolutely magnificent, especially at night time. Everything in the room was of high standard, and having stayed at many hotels around the world, we could say without hesitation that the soundproofing in the room was Gold Standard. For the first time, we were not disturbed by any external noise from the hotel or from traffic noise from outside the hoìtel. This made our stay enjoyable and memorable. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in the hotel for making our stay in Budapest spectacular!

Booked a room with a view, and it was so worth it! First off, the location is fantastic, right next to Fisherman's Bastion. You can see both Fisherman's Bastion and the Parliament building right outside your window. The first rays of morning sun shine directly into the room, perfect for taking photos indoors or heading out downstairs to snap some pics before the crowds arrive. Breakfast was also excellent, with options like fried rice, congee, and soup, and the staff were very attentive and proactive. The only thing to note is that you'll need to take a taxi to get there, as it's built on a hill, just like Fisherman's Bastion.

The location is fantastic, right opposite the Hungarian Parliament Building, which you can see from the hotel. There's a subway station nearby, making it super convenient to get to Pest. Castle Hill is also right behind the hotel. The hotel itself is a bit old, but the rooms are quite spacious. We stayed for three nights and only received one complimentary bottle of water. I guess Budapest, being a tourist city, has higher prices. One day, the supermarket was closed, and I ended up buying a bottle of water for 5 euros at the hotel restaurant.

All round the Corinthia Budapest is a great hotel with good prices and excellent service from very friendly employees throughout the hotel. Excellent spar. Relaxed lounge areas. The bedroom on fifth floor was very nice clean and comfortable. The heating system is set at a high temperature which can become quite uncomfortable in the middle of the night. Loved the Christmas decorations and Christmas Sunday brunch with free flowing beverages.  Very tasty food in the restaurant. The only issues we would highlight is the problem with the hotel being so big that the breakfast restaurant gets very crowded with delayed self service causing the food to become cold by time you sit down. This is also due to many guests leaving the Bain Marie food service warmer lids open as they are rushing to get food. Also the coffee is machines are not good quality or require servicing as the coffee was warm or cold once milk or cream was added. This was the case everyday over 5 days we never got a hot coffee.  Hot food and drinks are very important and this was unfortunately the only let down during our stay.  Hence the reason for a lower review score.  Aside from this I would recommend the hotel.

Cleanliness: clean and spotless (not so for my coffee machine but not a big deal as I didn’t use it) Room: nice room, with a lot of seating area, which is a major plus! There are some unobvious parts which are a bit dated, like the tiles on the shower, but not a major issue Location: very central, walking distance to most of the attractions, Budapest Opera House is just behind it, while Danube River is just 10 mins away! Lounge area on the ground floor offers free coffee and chocolate with snacks 24/7, a heated drying rack in the bathroom for drying your wet clothes, and a few wall hooks for coats when you enter the room!
