We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is superbly located next to the canal and very close to restaurants and the shops. The service was excellent - both at the front desk as well as the lovely ladies at breakfast who took very good care of us. The room was very comfortable. Also had undercover parking (public carpark) available very close by. An excellent choice if you want to enjoy Aveiro at its bestFromPLN 458

- Located at the center of city. Parking's free. Staffs are nice and helpful.
- Room's been renovated recently but looks a bit outdated and old fashioned. Air conditioning needs to be cleaned.
- Shower booth needs plumbing.
- Claustrophobic would never use a toilet in the room.
- Not a worst hotel, yet not worthy of spending 200-300 euros per night.FromPLN 524

I chose this hotel because I traveled between cities by train, and it's within walking distance of Aveiro station and listed in the Lonely Planet guidebook. I won't comment on breakfast as it wasn't included.
We stayed in a triple room with three people, and one of the beds was a folding bed. It's a little over a 10-minute walk from the city center, but it's flat, so it didn't feel too far.
The following information is as of May 2025.
○Good points:
They held our suitcases after check-in and check-out.
Check-out was at 12 pm, so we could relax.
There was port wine as a welcome drink.
Our room had a bathtub.
There's a cafe across the street. The coffee was delicious.
There's a coin laundry across the street. Washing is €4 for 9kg, €8.2 for 19kg, and drying is €1.8 for 19kg. Payment is possible with banknotes and coins. However, although it said it opened at 7 am, it actually opened after 8 am, so be aware. Detergent is not necessary.
Discount tickets for the Moliceiro boat tour gondola can be purchased at the front desk. Viva a Ria's 45-minute tour, normally €15, is now €11.
○ Points that weren't so great:
Chickens crow near the hotel. They crow irregularly in the morning, evening, and late at night, and it's quite noisy!
There's no electric kettle in the room, but you can get hot water from the front desk.
It's not a smart TV, so NHK World isn't available.
The switch between the shower and hot water was confusing.
Overall, it was a very good hotel to stay at. A Bolt ferry to Costa Nova cost about €8.FromPLN 282

FromPLN 222

It was a hotel belonging to the Alboi hotel group and it was an old place. It's not the entrance of this hotel, but the entrance of the hotel next to it is used together, and there are check-in and check-out, so it's a little unfamiliar and inconvenient. I went down there on the first basement floor and moved to the next building, and I was able to go up to my room again on a really small Elbe for one person. The facilities seemed old, but I liked it because it was a little farther than the city. It is the entrance to Abeiru, but you can see the canal view and it takes only about 5 minutes to walk to the city.
Hygiene.. The water scale in the shower hose in the shower room was serious. And I changed the shower filter, but in 4 hours the filter color changed to brown, so I was surprised ...FromPLN 507

Hotel Jardim is centrally located and within walking distance of most things. The room I was in was very clean and had aircon etc. It was not far off from needing refurbished, but the bed was comfortable and I slept well.
I never used the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. The pastry shop mentioned on other reviews is exceptional and is great value for money. I went there for breakfast and was not disappointed.

The location is very good, right by the river, convenient by boat and tuk-tuk, the restaurant is very good, and breakfast is also ok. I love the city of Aveiro so much! Look at those houses and cruise ships. They are so distinctive. Very petty and literary. Don't say anything, the picture above!FromPLN 465

It is very convenient at the bus stop for Costa Nova just before Aveiro station. I arrived before check-in, so I left my luggage and was politely taught how to get to Costa Nova and was able to take the bus safely to the seaside city.
The difficulty was that there was no elevator, and fortunately it was a small luggage, so there was no problem with the room on the 3 floor.

The hotel does not meet expectations, the photographs advertised on trip have nothing to do with reality, they should fix the damage. We thought it had a jacuzzi on the roof that we never found. As for the location, it is very good, everything is close at hand to be able to walk, the cleaning girls are very nice and every morning they bring you clean towels and make your bed, they also help you with whatever you need.
Overall rating: Could be improved
