Prachtig hotel, niet 13 in een dozijn. Heeft een geheel eigen stijl wat aangenaam is. Op de gangen vloerbedekking, wat geluid dempt. In een rustige, groene buurt, alwaar de beste broodjeszaak van Portugal zit, die zeker niet overgeslagen mag worden (Fanepão 88). Overheerlijk broodjes en gebak). Ongeveer 15 minuten lopen naar de stad, het handigst is dat via de grotere weg die achter het hotel loopt. Ontbijt niet bijzonder,maar okay. Door t personeel word je vooral genegeerd. Een aardig meisje dat goed Engels sprak. Super schoon. Heerlijk bad.

As I look through the reviews, it seems consistent over the years that others have experienced the abrupt and unwelcoming behaviour of the front desk people. Mostly the older ones who dont even lift their head up from the computer to say hello, good bye, how are you, who's your daddy...nothing. Once they check you in and you pay, its like you are invisible to them. The facilities are fine, just dont expect any hospitality or smiles from the front desk, except maybe the younger staff who at least look up from the computer.

The hotel has an excellent location for shopping, eating, and the train station. We had our luggage forwarded to this location as we walked the Camino, and it was there waiting for us when we arrived. Easy, courteous checkin. There is a one-person/luggage elevator available. My room on the first floor had high-ceilings, lots of sunlight, and a wonderful view. The bathroom was spacious, mixing old with new. The bed was very comfortable, the room quiet. Breakfast is an efficient and adequate buffet served in a room downstairs. Coffee machines, toasters, meat and cheeses, fruits, yogurts, cereals, etc. All buffet - nothing cooked to order, ie no eggs, etc. It worked for us. I must add that we had a couple of injuries in our 8-person group, due to walking the coastal Portuguese Camino. The staff were very helpful answering questions about medical attention, calling cabs, referring pharmacies.

This is the best value hotel in the city of Aveiro. Clean and large rooms, helpful staff, great location and reasonable priced.
