Stayed at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Oslo and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were nice and friendly, especially the lady at the concierge. When we mentioned it was our first visit to Oslo, she was very eager to share recommendations on what to see and do, which was truly helpful and appreciated.
However, there is ongoing construction right beside the hotel, and if your room is assigned on that side, the noise and dust can be quite disruptive. Another downside was the minibar policy — we were surprised to be charged extra just to have the minibar emptied. While I understand this may be due to the infrared sensor system, it was still disappointing, especially as we had bought sashimi and wanted to chill it for supper, which slightly ruined our plans for the evening.
Overall, the hotel has great staff and a good location, but the construction noise and minibar policy affected our experience. Still a decent stay, but something future guests should be aware of.FromNZD 237

The hotel is clearly a bit old; the hallways show their age, though the rooms themselves are decent. The space is a bit cramped, making it impossible to open two suitcases at once. The upper floors offer a nice view, and the overall environment is pleasant. The hotel was nice, sustainable culture supportive, staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful, close to the city center. The room felt extra small for me that I could not believe it, however, warm and good enough for a 1 night crash, did not need to switch on the heater, temp was just right! From the hotel it's easy to walk to some of the main tourist attractions and main streets with many supermarkets and convenience stores around. Our twin room was a little small and didn't have a kettle or fridge, otherwise it was nice and quiet and I slept very well. The hotel is a bit older, but the rooms are very well maintained. I was surprised, however, that a double room was equipped with two single duvets – a setup I actually found quite comfortable. The blonde girl with the ponytail at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. I booked the hotel specifically because reviews raved about the breakfast, and I found it quite good. They even offered hot broccoli and cabbage, which was a nice touch for those with a Chinese palate. The location is excellent. The location is excellent, the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food, especially breakfast, offers a remarkable variety and, what's more, it tastes very, very good.
The price is reasonable, or rather, cheap.
The only downside: The rooms weren't cleaned once during our three days. Perhaps we overlooked this when booking and should have requested it. But we would definitely book this hotel again.
Another suggestion for improvement (which doesn't affect our rating): There are fringe hanging from the armchairs, some of which are torn or ripped off. It would be a visual improvement if the fringe were removed completely.FromNZD 218

The hotel location was ideal and not far from oslo city centre with a metro station across the road and several bus stops very nearby.
Most of the staff were very helpful however there was one gentleman who appeared to assist but then no result to his said actions.
Additionally the first room he provided he stated would have view. The view was of the hotel from the window. The room he provided was unclean and filthy. We requested a change to our room with his colleague. She was very helpful and gave us a great room very clean room with a view of the river, but only thing is we had no phone in the room. We requested one but was told one would not available until later on the week. This was not beneficial as we were leaving.
The amenities were ok however the hotel had direct access to mini shopping mall which had some lovely coffee shops and general convenience stores, which was great. Therefore we did not eat at the hotel.
Overall apart from the above issues it was a pleasant stay and we extended it by a day which was a smooth process and we was able to stay in the same second room.FromNZD 192

The room design is too bad. The one-person-high mirror protrudes 20 to 30 centimeters with a bracket. The back of the mirror cannot be used and occupies the already small space. The whole room is designed in the style of a fast hotel. The room and bathroom are still relatively clean and tidy, although the lighting in the whole room is relatively dim. The hotel is in a very good location. The main attractions such as the City Hall, the Royal Palace, the Parliament Building, the Nobel Peace Center, and the National Opera House are all within one kilometer! Maybe this is the reason why the hotel price is not only super high, but the service attitude is super poor. There is a problem with a twin bed room. When booking the room two months ago, the request was clearly stated, but it was not implemented when we checked in. It seems that our request was made temporarily, and it was not solved in the end after staying for three days. The room was too cold and the air conditioner could not be turned off. The hotel’s location is superb, right by the Oslo S train station and by the main shopping district and main sights.
Hotel itself seems rather old. The bathroom especially felt like something out of the 1980s. It was small and water pressure was weak. Also there was no bath mat provided, nor any tissue paper, and no amenities like toothpaste toothbrush or shower cap.
As we had paid for a larger room, our room was spacious. But it was noisy from people shouting in the street below even at late hours. Also the hotel did not turn on its central heating nor air conditioning. So the room felt stuffy and you would have to open a window.
What saves the hotel is the excellent service. Staff were accommodating on requests we made, including for a takeaway breakfast box on our last day as we were taking an early train.FromNZD 235

An old chain hotel in Oslo, it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the Peace Square and the Royal Palace, but the double rooms are on the roadside, there will be noise when the light rail passes by, but fortunately it is very quiet from 11:45 pm to 6:30 am! Take the train from the airport to the city (not the central train station but the next stop), and walk for more than ten minutes to the hotel after leaving the station. The location is actually very good, a few minutes to the palace, next to the Canadian embassy. The room is big enough, the family room living room and bedroom have a half-walled child sleeping on the sofa bed. The room has breakfast but because the hotel can't prepare a light meal take-out box, that is, sandwiches and fruits and drinks, it is also a basic problem. This hotel is perfectly adequate, clean, and well-equipped. We traveled from Iceland to Oslo primarily to participate in the Norway in Miniature tour. The next day, we toured Oslo, and the third day, we spent some free time enjoying the Norway in Miniature tour. Everything was perfect. Our trip to Iceland and the five Nordic countries featured the Sognefjord and Hardangfjord in Norway. We stopped for the night in Voss, and the entire journey was breathtakingly beautiful!FromNZD 83

Decor is excellent and the theme of the rooms is cohesive and smart.
Excellent gym but pool was an additional cost, unless you have a suite. This was a disappointment and gives the place a cheap feeling.
There were lots of additional events being held at the hotel which gave the place a noisy and overly busy feel. Often large groups of party goers waiting for lifts at night. Corridors are also quite busy and noisy. There is a feel that hotel guests are a necessary afterthought when these events are held.
Staff ranged from very nice to indifferent and sometimes even disdainful.
Overall I wouldn’t describe this hotel as peaceful or a place that makes you feel at ease.FromNZD 534

Overall, my stay was pleasant. Although there was a slight hiccup with my room booking that delayed my check-in, I appreciated the efforts from both the hotel reception (especially Jordan) and Trip’s representative (Nico) in resolving the matter promptly.

I am very grateful to this hotel for the best impression I have left. The front desk, restaurant, room service... are all moving. All the staff seem to be following the kindness and sincerity of the hotel founder in words and deeds. So this is the most comfortable hotel. The location is excellent, the palace, the port, the theater, the concert hall are all walking distances, and the various ride stations are very close. Next door is the supermarket. When I checked out, I met a very good receptionist, who was very nice and enthusiastic. The hotel is in a good location and has a high cost-effectiveness. Definitely a busier part of town but we enjoyed being in the middle of it. Could see and hear the water fountains in the park from window. There is a little second level perch/balcony which was amazing to sit at during the evening sun while sipping some of the delicious white wine provided by hotel. Easy walk to the train stations and overall great location for walking to all of the places we wanted to go to. Beds were very comfortable and we had excellent sleep! Morning breakfast was amazing and had a very nice ambiance! I can’t believe the fresh juice station and health shots…America needs to step up the game as far as hotel breakfasts.FromNZD 217

The hotel is very cost-effective, the room is clean and tidy, the breakfast is very good, the front desk service is very good. Although it is about 4 kilometers away from the city, you can take the T4 or T5 line in more than 20 minutes! The key is to take the airport bus (Flybussen) FB3 line directly on the main road in front of the hotel. There is also a stop at this place to go to the airport. They are all FB3 lines, which run every 30 minutes. It is very convenient! You can swipe the card to buy tickets on the bus, 209 Norwegian kroner!FromNZD 161

The hotel is located in the centre of the old city, just a few minutes from Oslo Central Station and only about three minutes from the Oslo Opera House, making it very convenient for visitors. I booked for three people, and we were given a spacious and lovely family room consisting of two separate rooms. The included breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. The dinner included was a light dinner. The whole day free coffee and the afternoon snack were very thoughtful. The only downside was that the bathroom felt a bit dated, but hopefully the ongoing renovations will address this.FromNZD 227

One km away from Central Station. Great location. Tram stops are just stones away. Greak breakfast. Toilet is clean. I got a room with a great view facing the road. If you’re a light sleeper it might be a problem as trams are passing until past 1am. It wasnt too loud but you can hear it.

Stayed at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Oslo and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were nice and friendly, especially the lady at the concierge. When we mentioned it was our first visit to Oslo, she was very eager to share recommendations on what to see and do, which was truly helpful and appreciated.
However, there is ongoing construction right beside the hotel, and if your room is assigned on that side, the noise and dust can be quite disruptive. Another downside was the minibar policy — we were surprised to be charged extra just to have the minibar emptied. While I understand this may be due to the infrared sensor system, it was still disappointing, especially as we had bought sashimi and wanted to chill it for supper, which slightly ruined our plans for the evening.
Overall, the hotel has great staff and a good location, but the construction noise and minibar policy affected our experience. Still a decent stay, but something future guests should be aware of.

The hotel was nice, sustainable culture supportive, staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful, close to the city center. The room felt extra small for me that I could not believe it, however, warm and good enough for a 1 night crash, did not need to switch on the heater, temp was just right! One thing I really missed is the the English language option in TV, everything else was as expected.

There is a tram station in front of the hotel and its convenient to get to everywhere in the city. Get to see sunrise from our bed which is out of our expectation! Live it! Would love to stay again if we are visiting again!
