The mysterious, majestic Frontenac, standing proudly looking over the rest of Quebec, surrounded by deep snow and ice. Bleak. I knew it reminded of something. Of course,'The Shining'. Luckily Jack Nicholson didn't put in an appearance. Whilst the outside of the building is spectacular, the inside is less so, our room wasn't luxurious, it was good, but no 'Wow' factor. We weren't in the 'gold'sector though. I know it is an old building but wallpaper repairs where a small square has been cut out with a Stanley knife and patched up doesn't look great. The bathroom needed a makeover and the small wall heater opposite the toilet was positively scruffy, it also had thick dust and the previous occupants long hairs on it. We mentioned this at reception saying it would be fine to clean it next day. Strangely, after the room was cleaned next day, it was still the same. When we mentioned this again at reception we were kindly offered some complimentary breakfasts, which we graciously accepted. But generally the hotel is beautiful and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. Set by the St Laurence river it is close to most things in Quebec. It looked stunning with the frozen trees shimmering in the square at the entrance. I would certainly stay here again. You just have to. I'm sure Jack Nicholson would.

The hotel is very close to the old city of Quebec. There is an underground parking lot. When you go to the front desk for procedures, you will be asked to park for 30 knives for valet and 19 knives for parking yourself. Need to look around the hotel. The hotel is in a good location, the price is very good, and the equipment is outdated. The five-star hotel does not provide outfitting water, and the hair is found on the bed sheets, and the price is not high.

Wow! Our little getaway from Montreal at this charming little historic hotel was above and beyond what we expected. - Exceptional service: from the warm welcome at the reception with a room upgrade, the valet, the knowledgeable concierge, to the lady who delivered our breakfast and the lady who came to make our room, everyone we met at the Auberge was professional, authentic, courteous and make you feel so welcomed. - Love the historic feel and decoration of the hotel. Artifacts are displayed throughout the hotel and decorated with taste. - We had a terrace room overlooking the river and although the room was not big, it is spotless. Love the heated floor in the bathroom. - Amazing breakfast: just enough choice and tasteful. Enjoying our breakfast on the terrace was one of the highlight of our trip. - Wonderful location in the Old-Quebec, close to many shops/bars/restaurants. Overall we had a 5 star wonderful stay and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others!

Where to start? First, this is Canada in February. Of one thing I’m certain, there will be snow! And so, Delta/Marriott stop making excuses for staff and service ineptitude. The good: This location is close to everything in the Parliament area including upper Rue du St Jean, Congress, the observatory, Grande Allee’, St. Louis Gate and notably Winter Carnival. It is also walkable to Old Quebec. There is a heated outdoor pool to enjoy. It is kind of cool to be swimming in a pool with snow falling around you. The breakfast buffet had an assortment of cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, breads, scrambled, meats and potatoes. The bad: bar and meal service were deplorable not only slow but incompetent especially for a Thursday and Friday. The money lost at the only bar in the hotel is mind boggling. But, hey it’s your money although sadly at the expense of my patience. The bistro table service was equally poor. I waited 20 minutes for a coffee at breakfast. Repeated the next day waiting for tomato juice. I approached the front of restaurant staff who were apologetic but lost me when they blamed the weather (it’s Canada in February). What do they say in June? It’s summer we didn’t expect so many people!! The mediocre: many rooms are dark due to the angles of the property. Rooms are old(er) but seemed well kept. Beds were comfortable but cleanliness is questioned. Bottle residue was left on the counter on our first day. The stainless needs some significant polishing. It’s rusting and gross for a bathroom. It’s good you can recycle your towels. Shampoo is refilled and new soap is provided. Flip a coin, it’s habitable, central and walkable. Take your food and drink business off site. Marriott, this shouldn’t be as good as it gets.

We last stayed in this hotel in June 2019 & very much enjoyed our stay. We usually stay in Old Quebec for our annual Christmas ski trip to Charlevoix but we decided to stay here for a number of reasons: - Cost value - Access to highways - Surrounding stores (Sail, Sportium, Maxi, Costco) - The hotel amenities we enjoyed during our last stay especially a room with Microwave/Refridgerator - because our children have food allergies - Free & Easy Parking - One noticable difference, the swimming pool now has a life guard during pool hours - at least during this stay. Safety first!! The drive to Le Massif & Old Quebec was very easy - right off the highway. Free Parking is a huge value versus street parking/valet parking/parking decks in Old Quebec. There are a number of covered parking spots which is great when there's snow/freezing rain. The rest of the parking is uncovered surrounding the property. We drove our SUV with top carrier & we didn't have to worry about the height requirement like at the parking decks in Old Quebec. This Courtyard has the newest interiors (have seen at other Courtyards recently) but the shower door in the bathroom (no tub) is a bit short and the water easily splashes onto the bathroom floor. Our floor mat towel was drenched - we were very careful but all that water can be a hazard. We did not have an Accessible Room. Very nice - professional staff. We will certainly return.

The Hotel Le Concorde in old Quebec City was our choice of accommodation for a three-night/day getaway at the end of the Quebec Winter Carnival 2020 (Feb 14 to Feb 17). We were late in making our bookings and much was sold-out during that period,...at least near the historic centre of Quebec. Because I was travelling with a young child and my wife, location was paramount to be in walking distance of to the main attractions the city had to offer....notably the old city. On this front, Hotel Concorde delivered. It was about a 5 min walk to the Old City battlements and situated on the north-side of the Plains of Abraham, it offered a great location. We were booked on the seventh floor and had a nice view, though we were facing the west side of Grand Allee. The concierge/reception staff were help in either french or english (I am conversationally bilingual). The hotel has a nice spa-area on the the 4th floor (though saunas and bar area were closed) and a restaurant on the top floor, "Le Ciel" which translates to the "sky". Here, you can enjoy an amazing panoramic, breath taking view of the city. Unfortunately, there are some key aspects of the hotel that could do with significant improvement. a) for a high-standing building/hotel with 25 floors, the elevators seemed slow and were not-functioning one afternoon of our stay. Luckily we were on the seventh floor otherwise, this would have been extremely problematic. The stairwell access services maintenance areas and workshops that should probably be closed to the public. b) our room was clean and beds very comfortable, however, the insulation between hallway-room was very poor; i.e. noise from the hallway was very audible in the room. Heating in the our was good but the air circulation unit fan was a bit loud/distracting. c) the shower/bath diverter in the bathroom did not function properly d) there was plenty of parking in the underground area, though a bit pricey at 25/night...space is a bit tight but manageable (I was driving our family small-size SUV) In brief, as others have indicated here, these are all relatively minor issues but cumulatively, you might expect more for the value of your charges. With a bit of modernization and updating, this hotel would improve significantly.

We stayed in this hotel during a WE early August. I have to say I'm surprised by the recent no-s-good reviews. As a Titanium member, I have to say that our experience was flawless. Somehow they managed to upgrade me to a suite in the highest floor for the entire stay even though none was available for my second night. The suite is worth the extra money. Very open concept, nice view from the bedroom, perfect layout with the bathroom communication to both the living and bedroom. The rooms are modern, I believe it's been renovated during COVID as most of the pictures I see on TA seem to have old style furniture. Location is perfect, 2 min walk from the old city and 30 sec to a city Parking (you can get a $25 pass with multiple entries, but you need to ask for it in advance as they have a limited set of these). Nice welcoming staff, doing the best to accommodate Sure, the breakfast during the COVID era wasn't the best experience as their restaurant is closed (you got a box to go with a few items) but you also have tons food options 5 min walk from the hotel Great stay, glad I selected this property among the different other Marriott options out there.

We stayed at this hotel for a short trip to Quebec City. The location is great with many restaurants just a short walk away. The self parking was super convenient with an elevator which brings you to the first floor. It was easy getting in and out of the parking and many spaces available at the time we went. Yes people complain about the cost and try to find cheaper options but in my opinion it's worth the cost. It was a bit frustrating making your way around this hotel since there are a few different "buildings". The hotel lobby and hallways are renovated. However we were disappointed with the rooms. We booked the contemporary room and it's like walking into the 1990s. Super old and stuffy. Took us a good hour and a few calls to the front desk to get connected to the wifi. It's not written anywhere but you need to open the TV to find the password. Taking a shower was not easy since the shower head was very low and did not adjust higher. Also I was not able to check in earlier (1pm) and had to wait in a long line for check-in at 4pm. Other hotels are more considerate and flexible with guest schedules. I read online + saw advertisement in elevator that when you book directly with the hotel there are "perks". We booked directly with the hotel and did not receive any special additions of treatment.

We cannot share enough good things about this hotel. From the Concierges and their kind recommendations, to the very accommodating Reception staff. We spent 4 days coming and going thru these doors and not once were we not greeted with big smiles and chats about our days. Despite the uncertain future with the Corona virus, they gave us their best. Management should be very proud. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had numerous sanitation stations, including the elevators. We will definitely return and enjoy this beautiful hotel when all the restrictions are lifted and we can enjoy the rest of the amenities, including their restaurant Table. St Roch is a cool neighbourhood worth checking out. Lots of great eateries and it’s own vibe. Just 20 minutes walking to the tourist hub of the city with lots to enjoy along the way. Thank you so much Hotel Pur, we will be back!

The hotel's environment, sanitation, services and facilities are quite good, the hotel also provides a free underground parking garage, the small parking lot on the ground and the management staff also give parking. There are two big beds in the hotel, such as sleeping four people is still very loose. The bathroom is also large, clean and tidy, and the shower room is hot and large. The public facilities are complete, there is a gym and swimming pool, and the opening hours are also very long. The surrounding traffic is quite convenient. There are three buses that can go directly to the old town. There is a large Wal-Mart supermarket on the road, next to a large MALL. Further connected is the famous LAVAL University. For the winter students to shop without freezing, they have built a passage from the school to the shopping center. Everything is very user-friendly. However, there are also two regrets. First, I am reminded that I have already enjoyed the credit guarantee and I am exempt from the guarantee. However, the customer service call must be guaranteed by us, so that we had to change the advanced hotel processing payment, and also made three international long-distance calls with the customer service to bear the international long-distance telephone charges. Second, we booked the price of the two rooms on Ctrip. It’s 301 Canadian dollars. If you pay to the counter, you need to charge 311 Canadian dollars. I don’t know why? In short, I am satisfied with the hotel and have the opportunity to stay.
