We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Rome. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel facilities were also very good, clean, and well organized. It was a great place to relax after spending the day exploring Rome. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. Everything was handled smoothly, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The combination of comfortable rooms, good facilities, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere made our stay very enjoyable. We would happily come back again on our next trip to Rome. Hotel location is good and easy to walk around to see several of the attractions and get food. Only issue we had was the rooms had ants in the original room we were in. However the hotel did take care of it and apologized. If our room did not have the issue with the ants it would be 5 stars all.

Nice & helpful staff. You can always ask d front desk to call a taxi for you & it will be there right away. Clean room with enough toiletries for the 2days that we stayed there. . Breakfast was plentiful, with good choices. Location is near the Vatican Museum & Basilica is about 25mins. from the hotel. We were here for Pope Francis’ Easter Mass. Would love to stay here again should we have plans to return to Rome.

This hotel was an amazing experience. The staff were all lovely helpful and friendly. The essentials in the little shop next to the reception desk was a handy touch. There's a natural spring just a minute walk from the hotel which is helpful for topping up water bottles. As a female solo traveller I was worried about picking a safe location I always felt safe walking to and from the metro and around the local area even when it was dark. Everything you need is nearby and easy to get around from the hotel. The buffet breakfast was good. The hotel atmosphere was calm which was good for me as I don't drink so didn't want a chaotic environment. I booked a room with a terrace I did feel slightly awkward when other people were using theirs too as it's not very private but I think that's more of a me problem it was still really nice to have that space to enjoy the hot weather when resting at the hotel. The air con was amazing and handy to have a smart TV with YouTube.

Hotel is clean and large. Service was fantastic, especially front desk who let us check in early.  Restaurants at the hotel are a bit pricy, but there is another Italian restaurant next door which has cheaper Italian food. There is also a shopping centre about a 25 min walk away.  Location is a bit out of the way, so to get anywhere in Rome you will have to take an Uber, the public bus or the hotel's shuttle bus (at an additional cost).  Swimming pools are fantastic, especially the Roman bath area. Only issue with the facilities is that the gym does not have many machines. Further, the dumbbells that they have are not very heavy (10kg max).  The room and the hotel itself is a bit old, but this is fairly standard among other Rome hotels.

The location is fantastic, right behind the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, less than a 10-minute walk from Roma Termini Station. The room was quite small, and as an older hotel, it had a bit of a musty carpet smell and a drain odor. There was a kettle, but no slippers or toothbrushes. The rooftop restaurant offers great views, but it's a bit pricey. I was lucky to get the only single room with a terrace, but I was a bit hesitant to fully enjoy it with tea and a view, as it felt quite exposed. 😂

I actually quite liked the classical style, and the room was very spacious. The toiletries were Acqua di Parma, and the location was very close to Termini Station and the Repubblica metro station, just a few minutes' walk – these were all definite plusses. What was particularly bad was the service. When checking in, there were two lines, and one of them had no one in it. The staff didn't seem to be doing anything. After waiting for a long time, I tried asking and it turned out they could process check-ins there, but it felt like they'd just ignore you if you didn't ask. Also, they didn't mention anything about breakfast times or anything else, whereas the other line, dealing with Americans, got all sorts of reminders and information. We actually speak decent English and had done some research, learned a few Italian phrases, and were very polite, so I'm not sure if it was a staff difference or what. The concierge at the front desk was similar; we arrived around 1 PM and were told rooms wouldn't be ready until 2:30 PM, so we needed to store our luggage. The luggage storage area was locked. The concierge didn't offer to take our luggage or open the door proactively. After we asked, he just opened the door expressionlessly, as if it was a huge effort. For our family of three, they added a small bed to the room. There was a connecting door in the wardrobe area to the adjacent room. Although it was locked, we heard the neighbor trying to twist the handle a few times at night, and it was quite loud. I'm pretty sure the other room was just curious, as I even tried twisting it myself to see how secure it was... but hearing that sudden noise in the middle of the night was unsettling. Breakfast was also very mediocre. The bread quality was average, the coffee was average, and the freshness of the fruit was noticeably worse than at the hotels we stayed at in Florence. It might offer decent value for money. You might want to consider what factors are most important to you before choosing this place.

Located opposite the US Consulate, it's safer and more convenient than other areas. It's a 5-minute walk to the subway, and there are many worthwhile museums and restaurants nearby. Staying in the Executive Suite, I was treated to a stunning corner terrace. Although the hotel is older, it's well-maintained and doesn't feel particularly dated. The Executive Suite is priced similarly to other standard hotel rooms, but the experience is far superior. Personally, I think it offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended.

After staying in several small hotels in Paris and Venice, it was a delight to finally check into a spacious hotel. The room and bathroom were quite large by Rome standards, and even with an extra bed, there was still plenty of comfortable space. The staff were all very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the location was fantastic. There are many restaurants nearby that seem popular with locals. The train station, which is also a shopping center, is just a two-minute walk away if you head straight out. If you go the other way, you'll find a bustling district within five minutes. However, our driver-guide repeatedly warned us not to go towards the train station at night, and to be extremely careful of pickpockets even during the day. The only downside was a brief power outage on our last night, after which the water pressure was unstable for half an hour and the water came out a murky yellow.

A little dificulta to be found, as there were no signs explaining where the hotel entry was, in a big wood door that locked like a residential building not commercial. But the location is great! Clean place and nice room. Only complain was we were put in a room right next to the receptionist desk, people coming in and out and we could hear literally everything, people talking and walking. Once kindly asked to the receptionist to be moved as my partner has trouble sleeping with noises, he was rude to me saying that there was no more rooms available and no other options, acting like we were just a bunch of teenagers. Didn’t give us any option or kind response. Really disappointed with that service.

The hotel is a few minutes from the train station, and it's very convenient to get to Rome's attractions by bus or metro. The breakfast was very rich and delicious, and they even had raw honeycomb! The fruit was fresh, and the room was large and very clean. The staff were polite and even called guests during their stay to check on them, which was very thoughtful. If we could, we'd love to stay a few more days. Highly recommended!

Location is excellent as it allows traveler to go from the central railway station to the hotel by a walk (5 mins) and avoid queuing for taxi that in Rome are notoriously rare and scam tourist and Italians alike. Downside is that at night (I'd suggest avoiding walking around past 10pm) the area is unsafe due to the large numbers of homeless people wandering around. Hotel itself was great, polite and helpful staff, beautiful setting (in particular the dining/breakfast area) and nice rooms, quite spacious by Rome standard. Breakfast was good, specially if you prefer a sweet breakfast (excellent cakes!) but somewhat lacking of savory options.

Hotel Caravel is a few blocks away from Stazione Garbatella. The staff speak Spanish, English, and Italian (probably other languages as well). I had the pleasure to stay at Caravel for seven days with my father and they were very accommodating to his needs (such as keeping his laptop safe and providing him with an electric kettle for a night time cup of tea). They also have electric plug adaptors, and they offer third party laundry services. The hotel has accessible ramps, and the venue has a clothes store, bar, breakfast bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet is very varied with some food items made in-house. I hope I get to stay with them next time I visit Rome. My favorite breakfast (which I had almost every day) is seen in this picture.

I liked the service of the staff, they are polite, answer questions. I liked the breakfast: there is a boiled egg, and greens, and sausages, and cakes. Every guest will find something for themselves. The room is generally comfortable, in winter the hotel is warm. But the windows are a bit leaky and you can hear the noise from the road periodically. The towels and robe are good. Average cleaning: the floors were not washed or vacuumed (crumbs and hair were lying on the floor, and no one cleaned them up during my entire stay). The mattress is comfortable, the pillows are also comfortable. There are toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, cotton pads with sticks and a nail file. Initially, I booked another hotel in the center, but it was so cold and noisy that I looked for an alternative option and found the Radisson. Overall, I don't regret it. If I'm ever in Rome again, I'll definitely consider it for accommodation.

A great stay at The Glam Hotel! We initially chose this hotel because of its double queen beds as other similar options were a queen bed and a sofa bed, and I am glad we did. The room gave us the space and sleep that we needed. The room was comfortable and stylish while the rooftop restaurant and bar gave us everything we need for breakfast and drinks. The location allows you to be close to Termini rail station as well as the starting points for the Hop On, Hop off buses. Everyone we met at the hotel from the reception to the restaurant were warm and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel and room for any family who need space and comfortable in a city where this can come at a premium.

My four-day stay in Rome was alright, nothing particularly noteworthy. It's conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the train station. The area felt quite safe recently, with a strong police presence, and I expect it will be even safer with the Olympics next year. Compared to other cities, hotels in Rome tend to be smaller and pricier. Our room was a bit dated, but the staff were very patient. The overall rating is a 4.5 star hotel. They try to reach 5 stars in all aspects. There are no major problems, but they are always a little bit short. The room size is OK, the design is good, but it is a bit dark. The pillows and bed are quite comfortable, and there are different pillows (pillow menu) to choose from. The air conditioner is a little slow to cool down. The facilities are well maintained, but some are still obviously aging. Snacks are delivered every night, and there is also turn down service, but the welcome card is under another person's name. The minibar is not free, and a bottle of cheaper wine is delivered. Breakfast is ordered, and the service is good. The room cleaning is average, mainly because the used supplies are not replenished in time, but they are delivered quickly if you ask for them separately.

Nearby, there's also a family-run takeaway called Grano Street Food, and their lasagna is especially delicious.

The location is great, it's on the 5th floor of an apartment building directly opposite Termini Station. It's perfect if you're catching a bus to the airport the next day. If convenience is your priority, this is a good option. However, the comfort level is just so-so, apart from the blankets being relatively clean. We didn't dare use the duvet and just slept with the AC on because only the bed sheets looked new. The blankets seemed like they were never washed, but that's pretty standard for hotels in this price range.

The rooms were actually quite good, and the breakfast was nice too. Tour groups ate downstairs, while individual travelers like us ate upstairs. There were a lot of Chinese tour groups, but they were in and out quickly, so it didn't really affect our stay. We stayed at this hotel for three days. Since we were driving, having a free parking lot was a huge plus, and they had triple rooms available. The price was also reasonable. Parking in Rome city center is quite friendly, so traveling by car is definitely a good option. The hotel isn't far from the Vatican.

Decent location with easy acess to the metro station (if you don't mind walking for 10 minutes). Staff is very nice and friendly and never seem to be inconvenienced by questions or ”problems”. The room itself was clean and nicely prepared. Only thing I'd say is that the rooms aren't very soundproof; you can easily hear others. Breakfast is not anything special, but for me and my partner is was completely fine and just what we needed. All around I'd say it is a 4/5 for us!

I'm Japanese. It was surprisingly good for the price. I stayed in a female-only 4-person dorm room. There were three shower stalls and three toilets, but no shampoo or other toiletries provided by the hotel; only hand soap by the sink in the toilet. I brought all my own, so it was fine. Also, there were no towels! The room's air conditioning worked well, so my clothes dried overnight when I hung them up. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Rome.

Very good stay! The location of the hotel, incredible, just a few steps from the Trevi Fountain. The breakfast is also another great plus! Super complete, varied and with quality food. The attention from all the staff was very good and the facilities were also good! Recommended, we would love to come back!

I stayed at Hotel Stromboli During mid August 2026. I have stayed here many times. It is a very convenient hotel near the train station and the Airport Bus. It is also in close proximity to the central Termini museums. The area is good and safe. There is a water fountain a few minuets from the Hotel. There are many places to eat locally and there is a supermarket. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe staying at this hotel and that’s why I return. The room is comfortable and convenient. There is a lift. There is a lobby with a breakfast and coffee area. My room was bigger than expected for a single room with a bigger than expected bed. The bathroom is well equipped with a shower. I had a fridge and a kettle in my room. There is a window with shutters that you can open. There is air conditioning in the room. As I stayed in August during the heatwave my room was comfortable. I like staying at Hotel Stromboli. It’s a great budget price for solo travellers. It’s not really a honeymoon couples love nest. But it’s great for budget travel and I was very comfortable. I didn’t have breakfast do I can’t comment. There are snacks in the lobby. The images are of my single room. I like to walk round Rome and visit the museums. As it’s do central it’s great for this. Take bus 40 or H bus right across Rome it’s near the hotel. Ideal and convenient.

The parking is ample. The breakfast was good, the environment is peaceful, and they have a swimming pool and gym. The front desk staff were very friendly. It's conveniently located near the highway, and there are many good, affordable restaurants nearby.

The hotel location was great, nearby both bus and train station. The service was beyond expectation with a great hospitality from Kevin. Supermarket was just right beside the hotel, and we could take food up to the reception and eat there. The street is a bit busy during the day with traffic but in the evening was calm throughout the night.
