We appreciated the helpfulness of staff when we had booking issues. They worked hard to accommodate our family of 6 on a very difficult night (new years eve). They were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is also fairly close to the train station which worked well for our family for visiting Rome.

Hotel location is good and easy to walk around to see several of the attractions and get food. Only issue we had was the rooms had ants in the original room we were in. However the hotel did take care of it and apologized. If our room did not have the issue with the ants it would be 5 stars all.

Nice & helpful staff. You can always ask d front desk to call a taxi for you & it will be there right away. Clean room with enough toiletries for the 2days that we stayed there. . Breakfast was plentiful, with good choices. Location is near the Vatican Museum & Basilica is about 25mins. from the hotel. We were here for Pope Francis’ Easter Mass. This hotel was an amazing experience. The staff were all lovely helpful and friendly. The essentials in the little shop next to the reception desk was a handy touch. There's a natural spring just a minute walk from the hotel which is helpful for topping up water bottles. As a female solo traveller I was worried about picking a safe location I always felt safe walking to and from the metro and around the local area even when it was dark. Everything you need is nearby and easy to get around from the hotel. The buffet breakfast was good. The hotel atmosphere was calm which was good for me as I don't drink so didn't want a chaotic environment. I booked a room with a terrace I did feel slightly awkward when other people were using theirs too as it's not very private but I think that's more of a me problem it was still really nice to have that space to enjoy the hot weather when resting at the hotel. The air con was amazing and handy to have a smart TV with YouTube.

## Review **Hygiene:** The cleaning staff's hygiene awareness is seriously lacking. On the third day, when they came to clean, I was in the room. The first thing the attendant did after entering was to put the new bedsheets and duvet cover directly on my suitcase. My suitcase had just traveled across three continents and endured countless transfers; placing them anywhere else would have been better. **Service:** Most staff spoke English, but the cleaning staff didn't speak a word. The restaurant on the first floor served good food and always had a live pianist, creating a lovely ambiance. However, the main course on the first night was incredibly slow to arrive – it probably took 1 hour and 20 minutes from ordering until it was served. By then, I was already full from the pasta. Some of the waitstaff were quite arrogant. The young man who greeted me on the first night asked if I had a reservation. When I said no, he declared, 'you have to reserve.' Yet, he still gave me a table. On the last day, I walked in at lunch without a reservation again, and no one cared at all; other guests also hadn't reserved. It felt like I was 'schooled' for no reason on the first night. He also flat-out refused my request to sit indoors, saying, 'Why sit inside when everyone else is outside?' However, on my last day, when he wasn't there, another young waiter actually asked if I preferred sitting outdoors or indoors, and I chose indoors. On the last day at lunch, the restaurant wouldn't allow suitcases inside, demanding they be checked in with a blunt attitude. The old man in charge of luggage storage was even worse, acting incredibly arrogant several times when I went to get water or retrieve my bag. Furthermore, the last day is typically check-out day, so staff shouldn't even be entering the room to clean. Even if communication within the team is poor, they should at least knock before entering, right? Luckily, I had the security chain on, or else they would have just walked right in. My room wasn't cleaned on the second day, even though my 'do not disturb' sign was only up until 3 PM. The fact that the staff made no checks whatsoever between 3 PM and the end of their shift indicates extremely unprofessional management. **Amenities & Policies:** The room was large and had a balcony, which was great. The amenities were a bit subpar. The toilet seat had no soft-close mechanism whatsoever, creating a huge bang when it came down, a stark contrast to the Hotel Cerretani Firenze - MGallery Collection, where I stayed immediately afterward, which had silent toilet seats. Also, water at the Crowne Plaza costs money; you get two free bottles daily, and then it's 3 Euros per bottle. Considering the hotel's good value for money overall, this is acceptable. **Location:** It's located in the southwest suburbs. If you drive directly to the city center, it takes less than 20 minutes, but getting a taxi requires matching and waiting, and public transport involves transfers to the subway, with bus schedules often unreliable. This makes getting around quite a hassle. The hotel offers a shuttle bus, but it's paid (5-8 Euros) and runs infrequently to limited destinations. I only took it once to the Colosseum, and even then, the drop-off point was still a long walk from the attraction. **Sleep Quality:** Generally quiet, with not much noise during the day or night. I heard a bit of talking the night before I left, but it was nothing bothersome. **Biggest Advantage:** Value for money. For less than 2000 RMB a night, including breakfast, for a room of this size and with the IHG brand, it felt like a fair deal.

The most convenient location, just opposite Santa Maria di Maggiore and 7-10 minutes walk to Roma Termini and metro. Several bus stops nearby - we use buses to go to Colosseo, Borgese, piazza Navova, and metro for Vatican. Terrific view form breakfast terrace and good breakfast too - there were even several types of milk (regular, lactose free and soy). Surprisingly big bathroom and shower for the historical part of Rome. One thing that was not convenient is the central regulation of the conditioner (due to the historical type or building) - you have to call the reception to switch it off. All the other stuff is really good.

I actually quite liked the classical style, and the room was very spacious. The toiletries were Acqua di Parma, and the location was very close to Termini Station and the Repubblica metro station, just a few minutes' walk – these were all definite plusses. What was particularly bad was the service. When checking in, there were two lines, and one of them had no one in it. The staff didn't seem to be doing anything. After waiting for a long time, I tried asking and it turned out they could process check-ins there, but it felt like they'd just ignore you if you didn't ask. Also, they didn't mention anything about breakfast times or anything else, whereas the other line, dealing with Americans, got all sorts of reminders and information. We actually speak decent English and had done some research, learned a few Italian phrases, and were very polite, so I'm not sure if it was a staff difference or what. The concierge at the front desk was similar; we arrived around 1 PM and were told rooms wouldn't be ready until 2:30 PM, so we needed to store our luggage. The luggage storage area was locked. The concierge didn't offer to take our luggage or open the door proactively. After we asked, he just opened the door expressionlessly, as if it was a huge effort. For our family of three, they added a small bed to the room. There was a connecting door in the wardrobe area to the adjacent room. Although it was locked, we heard the neighbor trying to twist the handle a few times at night, and it was quite loud. I'm pretty sure the other room was just curious, as I even tried twisting it myself to see how secure it was... but hearing that sudden noise in the middle of the night was unsettling. Breakfast was also very mediocre. The bread quality was average, the coffee was average, and the freshness of the fruit was noticeably worse than at the hotels we stayed at in Florence. It might offer decent value for money. You might want to consider what factors are most important to you before choosing this place.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to get around. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast, though simple, was a nice touch as they proactively offered freshly brewed coffee. We stayed in a triple room; the double bed was very spacious, and while the single bed wasn't huge, it was perfectly acceptable for a 16-year-old. For three people including breakfast, the hotel offers decent value for money. There's a fantastic Filipino restaurant nearby that's definitely worth checking out!

After staying in several small hotels in Paris and Venice, it was a delight to finally check into a spacious hotel. The room and bathroom were quite large by Rome standards, and even with an extra bed, there was still plenty of comfortable space. The staff were all very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the location was fantastic. There are many restaurants nearby that seem popular with locals. The train station, which is also a shopping center, is just a two-minute walk away if you head straight out. If you go the other way, you'll find a bustling district within five minutes. However, our driver-guide repeatedly warned us not to go towards the train station at night, and to be extremely careful of pickpockets even during the day. The only downside was a brief power outage on our last night, after which the water pressure was unstable for half an hour and the water came out a murky yellow.

A little dificulta to be found, as there were no signs explaining where the hotel entry was, in a big wood door that locked like a residential building not commercial. But the location is great! Clean place and nice room. Only complain was we were put in a room right next to the receptionist desk, people coming in and out and we could hear literally everything, people talking and walking. Once kindly asked to the receptionist to be moved as my partner has trouble sleeping with noises, he was rude to me saying that there was no more rooms available and no other options, acting like we were just a bunch of teenagers. Didn’t give us any option or kind response. Really disappointed with that service.

Location is excellent as it allows traveler to go from the central railway station to the hotel by a walk (5 mins) and avoid queuing for taxi that in Rome are notoriously rare and scam tourist and Italians alike. Downside is that at night (I'd suggest avoiding walking around past 10pm) the area is unsafe due to the large numbers of homeless people wandering around. Hotel itself was great, polite and helpful staff, beautiful setting (in particular the dining/breakfast area) and nice rooms, quite spacious by Rome standard. Garbatella Rome|4.17km from city center
I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was disappointing due to a series of overlooked details and frustrating issues. To start with the good—the staff were great: friendly, helpful, and informative. They made an effort to assist whenever asked, and that hospitality was appreciated. The location was decent, about a 30-minute bus ride to the city center. It’s not exactly central, but manageable if you’re okay with the commute. The room was reasonably clean upon arrival, but the quality of housekeeping declined quickly. A lotion stain I accidentally left on the shower floor was never cleaned, and instead of actually scrubbing the area, housekeeping simply placed a mat over it—as if to hide it. Initially, the room came stocked with two sets of towels, but after the first day, only one of each was replaced. While the booking was for one person, maintaining the original quantity would have shown a bit more care and consistency. There were several small inconveniences that added up. For example, the room phone had no directory, so I had no idea how to contact the front desk or reach any services. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work for the first two days, which turned out to be because the previous guest had asked for it to be turned off, and it was never reset. It took me that long to realize I had to ask the concierge to enable it again. In a properly managed hotel, the AC should be reset and ready for the next guest without needing to make a request. The continental breakfast was another letdown. The scrambled eggs were dry, lumpy, and had a strange grey tint. The bacon and sausages were cold, and orange juice was served in plastic cups. There was very little fresh fruit, and to top it off, they had a random speaker on the floor playing radio ads during breakfast—a strange and unpleasant ambiance for a morning meal. I’m glad I didn’t pay for breakfast for my entire stay, because it definitely wasn’t worth it. The Wi-Fi was by far the worst I’ve encountered in any hotel. It disconnected constantly and, when connected, barely reached speeds of 5 Mbps. For a hotel in a tourist-heavy area, this is unacceptable and suggests a clear lack of awareness of guest needs—especially for travelers who rely on Wi-Fi to plan outings or stay in touch. Noise was another major issue. The elevator makes a blaring siren-like noise when it opens, which woke me up every single morning. The walls and doors are paper-thin, making it easy to hear people walking or talking outside, and the doors slam shut loudly, adding to the disturbance. Finally, while not the hotel’s fault, there were a few homeless individuals living around the property, which might make some guests feel uneasy, particularly at night. All in all, while the staff were excellent and the location worked, there were just too many frustrating and avoidable issues—poor housekeeping, unusable Wi-Fi, subpar breakfast, noise problems, and a lack of attention to guest experience basics. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel makes significant improvements across the board.

My primary reason for choosing this hotel was its excellent location, conveniently situated between the airport and the city center, which made taxi rides both straightforward and reasonably priced. Upon checking in, I was pleased to discover a wide array of recommended tours and activities, such as church musicals and golf cart excursions. This was incredibly helpful for someone like me who prefers not to meticulously plan every detail of their trip. Lastly, I have to praise their laundry service. Besides the usual per-item pricing, they offer a 'family laundry package,' which I recall being around €15 per kilogram. As we visited during summer, small items like T-shirts and socks don't add much weight. I sent in 3 T-shirts and 5 pairs of socks, and the total cost was only about €12. Each item came back smelling wonderfully fresh, almost like new clothes. What a delight not to have a smelly suitcase!

I liked the service of the staff, they are polite, answer questions. I liked the breakfast: there is a boiled egg, and greens, and sausages, and cakes. Every guest will find something for themselves. The room is generally comfortable, in winter the hotel is warm. But the windows are a bit leaky and you can hear the noise from the road periodically. The towels and robe are good. Average cleaning: the floors were not washed or vacuumed (crumbs and hair were lying on the floor, and no one cleaned them up during my entire stay). The mattress is comfortable, the pillows are also comfortable. There are toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, cotton pads with sticks and a nail file. Initially, I booked another hotel in the center, but it was so cold and noisy that I looked for an alternative option and found the Radisson. Overall, I don't regret it. My four-day stay in Rome was alright, nothing particularly noteworthy. It's conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the train station. The area felt quite safe recently, with a strong police presence, and I expect it will be even safer with the Olympics next year. Compared to other cities, hotels in Rome tend to be smaller and pricier. Our room was a bit dated, but the staff were very patient. Just an honest review here for future guests. There was one iron (and ironing room) for the whole hotel, you had to get a key from reception to get into the room and you are limited to use it for 30 minutes. Also, the iron was old and not good. I ironed one shirt twice and it was still wrinkled. I was contemplating buying an iron to donate to the hotel for the poor future guests. You cannot use the gym for free- it costs $10€ per session. (The gym looks great though) The cleaners were cleaning the hallway with a loud machine at 10pm at night. The shower is tiny, I could barely turn in there and wash my body. The air conditioner is situated behind the curtains and doesn’t cool the room as a result. Overall, not the best experience for what should be a good stay. Positives: The room was spacious and quite nice. There is a beautiful older Church (1915?) attached to the Hotel which can be accessed. The building and decorating was nice. Some staff were really helpful with requests. The room is about 5/10 minute walk from a convenient train station which goes into the city/tourist attractions. Loved our stay here. Staff were super welcoming and helpful. We were able to check in early which we were extremely happy about with it being so hot outside. The location is fantastic being walking distance to Vatican City, metro, supermarket and restaurants all close by. Room was nice and quiet, although bathroom very small. Would stay here again 😊

Absolutely amazing! The room was spacious, the air conditioning was perfect, and everything was spotless. The self-check-in at the front desk was super convenient. Staying here was a breeze, and I highly recommend it! I loved being able to go out in the mornings, come back for a nap at midday, and then go out again in the evenings feeling completely safe.

My English isn't great, but the male manager at the front desk spoke the clearest English I heard on this trip! His pace wasn't too fast either, and he was very enthusiastic and friendly, even cracking a few jokes. He really brightened my day. The triple room was also very large and spacious, and came with slippers. However, the hotel's breakfast box was a bit disappointing. It was just pre-packaged snacks and such, very basic. For those catching an early flight who won't have time to eat breakfast at the hotel, I'd suggest not booking a room with breakfast included. It's not worth the price; you're better off getting something at the airport.

We stayed in a double room, The room's layout was strange, completely different from the photos; the bed was in the centre of the room, there are also a single bed which located next to the desk. The door couldn't be locked inside. We reported this to the front desk, and they said they couldn't do anything about it and that no one would enter our room. However, the bathroom is being tidied every day, which is quite different to what the front desk said. The room wasn't dirty, but the bathroom was quite filthy, with grime and hair.

Really great experience overall! They initially gave me a room without a window, but when I spoke to the front desk, they kindly switched me to a room with a balcony. Everything else was really good.

I was worried about arriving after check-in time, but the staff had already informed me about the pre-check-in process. Even with the instructions, I was a bit flustered at first. I was supposed to press the button on the main door three times, but it wasn't working, and the door wouldn't open. Luckily, someone inside opened it for me, and I was finally able to get in. The building itself is classic, but the bed wasn't very comfortable. They did provide a kettle and coffee cups. There was a bathtub, but the water wasn't very hot.

The hotel is wonderful. The staff of the hotel are kind and professional.the breakfast is rich and delicious. Especially, the traffic is very convenient and helpful. We go to almost all sightseeing places from the hotel conveniently and rapidly. The hotel is near by central train station of Rome and we can go to other cities conveniently. We come back Rome in June and we will book the hotel again.

I have stayed at Hotel Stromboli a number of times and I’ve always had great service and the best guaranteed value for my budget. I’m a solo senior female traveller on a budget and I’m too old to stay in a hostel. The hotel is great it has a bathroom with a bidet and all the amenities for solo travel like a kettle, fridge. It means you can make hot drinks and snacks in your room without breaking your budget. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t provide feedback for that. My room was very comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and new sheets/ towels provided. There is no view from my room this time but when I’ve stayed on 3rd floor I’ve had a view. I’m staying on floor 1 this time and I’ve not stayed on this floor before. I have air conditioner so it’s fairly cool. Rome is extremely hot right now. I choose to stay in this hotel because of its proximity to all the sites, museums and central termini. Today I did a day trip to Napoli and it’s a very good hotel for getting to and from the station and airport. The airport bus is just outside. I will continue to stay here as it’s a safe good place to stay in Rome on a budget. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby plus a water fountain! I include some pictures of the visits I do as I have posted a lot of images of the rooms I’ve stayed in so far. I hope you find it helpful

The location is excellent and the decor is well appointed. I look forward to returning again in the future.

It was pretty quiet at night, and the location was decent. The cleanliness was good too. The 5-euro breakfast we paid extra for in the morning was a bit too simple, mostly sweets, though it did include coffee and juice. Also, a genuine tip: if you have enough space, buy some water from the vending machine here to take into the city. A 1-euro bottle from the machine costs 1.5 euros or more in the city.
