We appreciated the helpfulness of staff when we had booking issues. They worked hard to accommodate our family of 6 on a very difficult night (new years eve). They were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is also fairly close to the train station which worked well for our family for visiting Rome.

This hotel was an amazing experience. The staff were all lovely helpful and friendly. The essentials in the little shop next to the reception desk was a handy touch. There's a natural spring just a minute walk from the hotel which is helpful for topping up water bottles. As a female solo traveller I was worried about picking a safe location I always felt safe walking to and from the metro and around the local area even when it was dark. Everything you need is nearby and easy to get around from the hotel. The buffet breakfast was good. The hotel atmosphere was calm which was good for me as I don't drink so didn't want a chaotic environment. I booked a room with a terrace I did feel slightly awkward when other people were using theirs too as it's not very private but I think that's more of a me problem it was still really nice to have that space to enjoy the hot weather when resting at the hotel. The air con was amazing and handy to have a smart TV with YouTube.

This hotel isn't in the old town, it's more of a resort style, but it's incredibly comfortable. They offer a shuttle service, or you can take a taxi to the attractions. It's very close to the Vatican, and there's a bus stop right outside. **Dining:** The hotel breakfast is excellent and varied; we enjoyed it every morning during our stay. There's also a good Italian restaurant right next to the hotel. 👍 **Hotel SPA:** The gym, swimming pool, and sauna are all complimentary. **Rooms:** The rooms are very spacious, which made for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended, great value for money!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly opposite Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica and very close to Termini Station. The staff are all incredibly warm and friendly. The breakfast is really good, with a wide variety of options. The breakfast staff, in particular, were wonderful; they'd ask if you wanted coffee and their cappuccinos were delicious. When they saw us carrying our luggage upstairs for breakfast, they were incredibly helpful when we left, carrying our bags down to the elevator, pressing the button for us, and politely saying goodbye. Disposable slippers are provided. The only downsides are that the hotel facilities are a bit dated, and they don't seem to provide a full box of tissues.

The hotel was very clean. The room was of a good size for a single traveller, and it was very quiet. Everyone working there was super friendly. Breakfast was good and could be better if there were some variety for different days. Location-wise, it took about 20 minutes on foot from the main train station. It's mostly an easy walk. It's also very close to Via Veneto and famous gelaterias such as come il Latte and La Romana are a short walk away. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

This time, I stayed at a hotel that seems to be a popular choice among Chinese travelers, and my overall experience was pretty good. The only downside was the front desk staff's attitude – they were consistently cold and indifferent. There were no greetings when we came and went, and even when we initiated a hello, we only got dismissive responses. What was even more frustrating was the rather large staff member at the restaurant entrance who just stood there expressionless every time we passed by, which gave a very unwelcoming impression. However, the restaurant and housekeeping staff were all very warm and friendly, which definitely redeemed a lot of my impression of this stay.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to get around. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast, though simple, was a nice touch as they proactively offered freshly brewed coffee. We stayed in a triple room; the double bed was very spacious, and while the single bed wasn't huge, it was perfectly acceptable for a 16-year-old. For three people including breakfast, the hotel offers decent value for money. There's a fantastic Filipino restaurant nearby that's definitely worth checking out!

I stayed at this hotel during my honeymoon trip to Italy after getting married on November 1st. Before our trip, I inquired about possible honeymoon benefits, and upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgraded room. We originally booked a standard double room, but the hotel kindly gave us one with a terrace, where my husband and I enjoyed some wine together. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. They also provided a city map and recommended sightseeing routes around Rome, which was very helpful for first-time visitors. The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from Termini Station, with easy access to trains, buses, and the metro. When we missed Korean food, we found two Korean restaurants within a 5-minute walk, which was nice. It was our first trip to Italy, and we were very happy with our stay. I especially appreciated the wooden floors instead of carpet — it felt much cleaner and more comfortable. I highly recommend staying at UNA Hotel for a memorable time in Rome!.

A little dificulta to be found, as there were no signs explaining where the hotel entry was, in a big wood door that locked like a residential building not commercial. But the location is great! Clean place and nice room. Only complain was we were put in a room right next to the receptionist desk, people coming in and out and we could hear literally everything, people talking and walking. Once kindly asked to the receptionist to be moved as my partner has trouble sleeping with noises, he was rude to me saying that there was no more rooms available and no other options, acting like we were just a bunch of teenagers. Didn’t give us any option or kind response. Really disappointed with that service.

About a 10-minute walk from Termini Station, it feels generally quite safe. However, this was the only hotel in Italy out of all the ones I stayed at where you didn't need to swipe a card to use the elevator. The front desk staff were very nice; I arrived past 12 PM, and I was ready to just store my luggage, but the front desk proactively told me my room was already ready. When we left, they also allowed us to check out two hours late. When checking out, they asked if I was willing to leave a tip, and since the staff were so nice, I agreed to give 10 Euros.

Location is excellent as it allows traveler to go from the central railway station to the hotel by a walk (5 mins) and avoid queuing for taxi that in Rome are notoriously rare and scam tourist and Italians alike. Downside is that at night (I'd suggest avoiding walking around past 10pm) the area is unsafe due to the large numbers of homeless people wandering around. Hotel itself was great, polite and helpful staff, beautiful setting (in particular the dining/breakfast area) and nice rooms, quite spacious by Rome standard. Breakfast was good, specially if you prefer a sweet breakfast (excellent cakes!) but somewhat lacking of savory options.

Garbatella Rome|4.17km from city center
I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was disappointing due to a series of overlooked details and frustrating issues. To start with the good—the staff were great: friendly, helpful, and informative. They made an effort to assist whenever asked, and that hospitality was appreciated. The location was decent, about a 30-minute bus ride to the city center. It’s not exactly central, but manageable if you’re okay with the commute. The room was reasonably clean upon arrival, but the quality of housekeeping declined quickly. A lotion stain I accidentally left on the shower floor was never cleaned, and instead of actually scrubbing the area, housekeeping simply placed a mat over it—as if to hide it. Initially, the room came stocked with two sets of towels, but after the first day, only one of each was replaced. While the booking was for one person, maintaining the original quantity would have shown a bit more care and consistency. There were several small inconveniences that added up. For example, the room phone had no directory, so I had no idea how to contact the front desk or reach any services. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work for the first two days, which turned out to be because the previous guest had asked for it to be turned off, and it was never reset. It took me that long to realize I had to ask the concierge to enable it again. In a properly managed hotel, the AC should be reset and ready for the next guest without needing to make a request. The continental breakfast was another letdown. The scrambled eggs were dry, lumpy, and had a strange grey tint. The bacon and sausages were cold, and orange juice was served in plastic cups. There was very little fresh fruit, and to top it off, they had a random speaker on the floor playing radio ads during breakfast—a strange and unpleasant ambiance for a morning meal. I’m glad I didn’t pay for breakfast for my entire stay, because it definitely wasn’t worth it. The Wi-Fi was by far the worst I’ve encountered in any hotel. It disconnected constantly and, when connected, barely reached speeds of 5 Mbps. For a hotel in a tourist-heavy area, this is unacceptable and suggests a clear lack of awareness of guest needs—especially for travelers who rely on Wi-Fi to plan outings or stay in touch. Noise was another major issue. The elevator makes a blaring siren-like noise when it opens, which woke me up every single morning. The walls and doors are paper-thin, making it easy to hear people walking or talking outside, and the doors slam shut loudly, adding to the disturbance. Finally, while not the hotel’s fault, there were a few homeless individuals living around the property, which might make some guests feel uneasy, particularly at night. All in all, while the staff were excellent and the location worked, there were just too many frustrating and avoidable issues—poor housekeeping, unusable Wi-Fi, subpar breakfast, noise problems, and a lack of attention to guest experience basics. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel makes significant improvements across the board.

The hotel's buffet dinner was extensive and reasonably priced. Breakfast was standard and nothing to write home about. It's a 20-30 minute drive from the city center, with a taxi costing around 35-40 euros. The shuttle bus has set departure times and limited capacity, which meant we rarely managed to catch it. While the hotel itself is good, I personally think staying in the city center would be more convenient.

During this trip to Rome, the Guardian Hotel left me with a great impression! From the location point of view, it is in an excellent location, very close to Rome Termini Station, convenient for travel, and there are subway stations around, so you can easily go to various attractions in the city. And the area is very quiet, there is no sense of noise at all, and you can sleep well at night. The hotel staff are warm and thoughtful. From checking in at the front desk to asking for local travel information, they patiently answered and gave practical suggestions. Once I accidentally stained my clothes, the staff quickly helped me contact the laundry service, which was very efficient. Although the room is not particularly large, it is reasonably arranged and clean. The bed is very comfortable and it is very comfortable to sleep. The facilities in the room are also complete, such as air conditioning, TV, kettle, etc., to meet daily needs. There is no odor in the bathroom, and the quality of toiletries is also good. The breakfast is rich in variety, with bread, fruit, yogurt, hot drinks, etc., and the taste is also very good, starting a day full of energy. There is also a rooftop terrace in the hotel. It is very comfortable to go there at night to enjoy the breeze, drink a glass of wine, and overlook the night view of the city! In short, this stay experience is almost perfect. Next time I come to Rome, I will definitely choose the Guardian Hotel!

My four-day stay in Rome was alright, nothing particularly noteworthy. It's conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the train station. The area felt quite safe recently, with a strong police presence, and I expect it will be even safer with the Olympics next year. Compared to other cities, hotels in Rome tend to be smaller and pricier. Our room was a bit dated, but the staff were very patient. The hotel seemed to cater mostly to older guests, which made for a very quiet atmosphere. Breakfast was good. I hope all my fellow Chinese travelers have a wonderful time in Italy!

Just an honest review here for future guests. There was one iron (and ironing room) for the whole hotel, you had to get a key from reception to get into the room and you are limited to use it for 30 minutes. Also, the iron was old and not good. I ironed one shirt twice and it was still wrinkled. I was contemplating buying an iron to donate to the hotel for the poor future guests. You cannot use the gym for free- it costs $10€ per session. (The gym looks great though) The cleaners were cleaning the hallway with a loud machine at 10pm at night. The shower is tiny, I could barely turn in there and wash my body. The air conditioner is situated behind the curtains and doesn’t cool the room as a result. Overall, not the best experience for what should be a good stay. Positives: The room was spacious and quite nice. There is a beautiful older Church (1915?) attached to the Hotel which can be accessed. The building and decorating was nice. Some staff were really helpful with requests. The room is about 5/10 minute walk from a convenient train station which goes into the city/tourist attractions. We were very pleased with the hotel and stayed there at both the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. We rented a car at the airport and parked it right in front of the hotel's door in a private courtyard. That was very convenient. I believe they charged us about 35 Euros each night for that perk. The hotel was luxurious, and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. They had someone carry our bags to and from our room during check-in and check-out. Everything in the large room worked; it was clean, and there was a safe to store your valuables. As Americans, a few reminders or unexpected things to note. You'll need a power adapter (easily purchased on Amazon) and, unless you bring a voltage converter, make sure any appliances (CPAP, travel steamer/iron, etc) are compatible with both 110V and 220/230V. We didn't find washcloths in any of the hotels in Italy, so we just used hand towels in the shower. The shower at this hotel (both rooms) was a bath/shower combination. There was no shower curtain or door, only a small partition near the removable shower head to keep the water from splashing everywhere, which it basically did. While it is a beautiful historic building, there are a couple of elevators at this hotel, so you don't need to lug your stuff up a bunch of stairs. The room key is enormous and they only give you one. We kept ours in the car whenever we left the hotel so we wouldn't carry it around. Even though we had a car, we found it more convenient to leave it at the hotel and take an Uber to Vatican City rather than walk more than a mile each way, which we also did twice. The area surrounding the hotel was historic and lots of fun. Plenty of places to shop and eat. The breakfast buffet at the hotel each morning was also superb. Plenty of hot and cold items to fill you up before trekking out. That's about it. Don't forget to check out the view from the rooftop at the hotel. Have a great time in Rome!

Early morning and evening are both great experiences to visit. However, the front desk arranged a room on the second floor, next to the elevator. The voice of the front desk on the first floor at night could be heard clearly in the room. Lasts until 11pm. I think this is not good. Greatly reduces the sense of good experience. Room Decor: Typical Rome hotel style. The room isn't actually in the main building (confirm this when booking); it's in a neighboring residential building. It's relatively spacious, with a high window that offers little to no view outside, only good for ventilation. Soundproofing is terrible; at night, you can clearly hear conversations, hairdryers, and toilet flushing from next door. Bedding and Towels: Normal, comfortable, and clean. Location: While advertised as being in Plaza de España, it's actually on a hill. You need to take an elevator from the metro exit to the street above. The hotel didn't email us directions beforehand, causing me to get lost following Google Maps. I ended up carrying a large suitcase up about four flights of stairs at night. When I called the hotel, the front desk said there was only one person available and they couldn't come to meet me. Although they apologized afterward, it was still a huge inconvenience. I can't believe this is the kind of service you get for 2000 euros. Recommendation: Definitely take a taxi to the hotel. There's about a four-story difference between the ground-level plaza and the street above Plaza de España. Although there's an elevator from the metro exit, you might not be able to find it without knowing the route, and the hotel didn't inform me beforehand. It's worth noting that the elevator closes late at night. I stayed two nights, and both times I had to climb a long flight of stairs to get back to the hotel because the elevator was closed. If you don't mind climbing stairs, you can ignore this.

It was quite a challenging stay. The requests I made in the booking were completely ignored. Upon arrival, we had to change rooms, which seemed to upset the front desk staff quite a bit. A South Asian porter helped us with our luggage. I didn't have any small change, as I mostly pay with cards and rarely use cash, so I only gave him a 2 Euro coin as a tip. From that moment on, whenever he saw us, he showed absolutely no expression. I mean, it's not like I was going to give him a 200 or 500 Euro bill, right? Was it even worth that much? The hotel breakfast was excellent. The room, although not as good as the original one after the change, was still acceptable. The location is fantastic: just a few dozen meters from the train station, and there's an airport shuttle right outside. There are no issues with the location, and the area isn't as chaotic as some say. The only problem is that all the staff had rather cold and indifferent expressions, making you feel, for a moment, like you weren't even in Italy! I won't be staying here again, even with its many advantages. I just don't want to deal with their attitudes!

An excellent choice if you’re planning a trip to Rome. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Roma Termini and about 5 minutes from Repubblica metro station. Trams and several bus lines run nearby, making it easy to get around. Both the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum, as well as many of Rome’s other popular attractions, are about a 15-20 minute walk away. The hotel is quite large, and the room we chose was very spacious and spotless, with daily housekeeping. It included everything we needed: a hairdryer, shampoo, and various toiletries (such as a shower cap and slippers). The room also had a desk, a safe, a television, a comfortable armchair, and a fairly large wardrobe. There was also a minibar and a kettle, with complimentary coffee sachets provided daily. The staff were polite and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The hotel also offers free luggage storage, which is very convenient if you arrive before check-in time or if your flight departs late in the evening. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

The location is excellent, right in front of the subway exit, and there's a bus stop directly outside (so people tend to gather there). There's a supermarket next door, and most attractions are within walking distance (though it's quite tiring, so cycling is more convenient). It's very easy to get to the Vatican and the Colosseum by subway. The front desk service was fantastic – warm and proactive. Even before checking in early in the morning, they invited us to slow down with a coffee (the best cappuccino I had in Rome!). We left early most days and didn't get to properly sit down for breakfast. On our check-out day, it was also too early for breakfast, but they still provided us with coffee and bread. Luggage storage was very convenient. The room wasn't large, and the air conditioning was just okay. Slippers were provided. The window overlooked an attraction, so it was a bit sunny. There's a cinema next door, which could occasionally be noisy at night, but the door insulation was good, so I couldn't hear any corridor sounds. The shower was incredibly powerful! The water pressure was strong and very comfortable!!! This was absolutely perfect!

The room was clean, spacious, and located right in the city center. However, if you’re sensitive to noise, it might be a bit uncomfortable because the soundproofing isn’t very good. As for me, I was so tired that I slept well anyway, so I didn’t really care about the noise. There were also many Chinese people and foreigners around the building. It’s close to Roma station, so it’s very convenient.

My stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a great, safe neighborhood with excellent transport links. The metro is 10 minutes walk away, and from there it’s only about 15 minutes to the city center. It also takes just 15 minutes by tram to reach the train station. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Check-in was smooth and fast. They also gave me a map of Milan with all the main attractions marked and tips on how to reach them quickly. My room was very comfortable — equipped with a bed, wardrobe, hairdryer, safe, private toilet and shower, shampoo, soap, a kettle, tea, television with Internet and YouTube. I stayed on the 5th floor, and it was absolutely delightful to wake up in the morning, open the clear windows and enjoy the view. Breakfast was served at Convenient time 7:00-10:30. A huge thank you to all the hotel staff — such warm and helpful people. I would gladly stay here again.

The hotel is very well-maintained, and the service is excellent. Stefhany checked me in at the front desk, and it was a very quick process; she was incredibly friendly. I was able to store my luggage while waiting for my room to be ready at 3 PM. Although the area outside isn't the best, with some questionable individuals due to its proximity to the terminal, there was always security nearby, and police patrols were frequent. The rooms were quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. It's located two blocks from Termini, and there's a bus station very close by, which made getting around easy, especially when returning late at night.

First time solo traveling, and it was to this beautiful place called Rome, i needed a good place to stay for four nights, and this one came to me because of the good location around the city and close to the Roma Termini, communication with the staff was good, the clean service was also good, they welcomed me with open arms! About the room itself, for a solo traveler it is enough, although i would have liked to have more natural light coming from the window, have more wardrobe space and some kitchen utensils. But overall the experience was very good, i enjoyed my time in la cittá eterna.

I liked the hotel; the bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean, and the room was cleaned every day. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The reception is open 24 hours, and you can leave your luggage. The location is convenient—a 5-minute walk from Termini station. The only inconvenience was that the elevator wasn't working, so I had to walk up to the 5th floor. Overall, I recommend this hotel; you won't regret it.
