Absolutely amazing stay. Every staff member we met was hospitable and helpful from the very start of the reservation process. The hotel location is perfect: not only inside Baščaršija with its cafes and restaurants, but next to a supermarket and a drugstore. The hotel has its own parking lots located in a one-minute walk. We had a room on the third floor (yes, there's an elevator) with a nice view on the Gazi Husrev-beg mosque. The room was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good, a couple of dishes changed every day. The hotel is highly recommended.

The hotel was fantastic; we loved it. The receptionist was very helpful with everything. At the end of our stay, we asked for a taxi, and they helped us with that too. We stayed on the 14th floor, which offers amazing views of the city (not exactly picturesque, but the mountains are amazing 😍). The breakfasts were delicious, with plenty of choice: there were always vegetables, eggs (the omelet was burnt once and tasted awful), pastries, and fresh fruit. The only thing we didn't like was that upon check-in, reception told us breakfast started at 6:00 AM. We had to leave early for an excursion, so we arrived for breakfast just as it opened (6:15 AM). Several dishes were already served, but the coffee machines were turned off (meaning there was no hot water for tea either). A woman came around setting the table, and I asked her if I could at least pour some tea. She completely ignored me, made a disgruntled face, and left. As a result, we were left without breakfast.

My friends and I would to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent hosting and service provided during my stay. Every interaction—from the seamless check-in at the front desk to the spotless rooms and attentive room service—exceeded expectations and made me feel genuinely welcomed.

The location is very good. A small tip: in case you might not notice, if you are going by walking, not driving, using Google Maps directly may take you the long way around. If you contact the host, they will show you the back entrance, which takes you straight to the Baščaršija center in just 3 minutes. The place was clean, comfortable, and very warm. We were very satisfied throughout our stay. The hosts were also kind-hearted and lovely people. I’m very happy to have met them. I wish all a happy days

We had a fantastic time at Bosanska Avlija Guesthouse. It is a very quiet place and a 10-minute walk to the Old Town area. The host, Kenan, was very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. We absolutely recommend this location!

The service was absolutely terrible. The travel agency booked our stay the night before, and we wanted to stay an extra night, so we booked another through Ctrip. On the day we checked in, we asked to extend our stay for another day. They told us to come back to the front desk the next day and try again with our credit card, which would most likely be possible. But when we arrived at the front desk at 10 a.m. the next morning, we were told we couldn't extend our stay. We had to move rooms and have to accept a 12:00 PM check-in and a 3:00 PM check-out. The reason was that a group had booked two weeks prior, and they had given us their room number. What kind of excuse is that? I've never heard of that. I was hoping for a convenient extension, but we ended up having to change hotels. After a long argument, they said they'd leave our luggage in the room and move us to the new room once it was ready. I reluctantly accepted that. Also, my friend's room was infested with giant spiders—more than one—and the staff were using paper cups to catch them. I strongly don't recommend this hotel. You should definitely try a better one.

One of the best hotel in Sarajevo. About 4km to old town in a quiet neighbourhood. The room is comfortable for single occupant. The bed is comfortable but the pillows are not. Heated nice pool. And it has a separate pool for men & women.

Excellent value for money. Very close to the center (a 5-minute walk to the square), although it's uphill. Free parking is definitely a plus (I had a rental car). For €20 a day, I'd say you can't ask for anything better. Breakfast is a bit basic but acceptable. My only two concerns: a shower curtain to avoid flooding the entire bathroom (but I had an economy room) and better cleaning under the bed. Otherwise, as mentioned before, excellent value for money.

The location is perfect and the room is nice but needs some tlc and general maintenance. Fan, hairdryer, aircon, toilet seat, door handle, window were broken. The bed was comfy but 2 very clear singles pushed together so would fall down the gap. The restaurant below plays music until 11pm which you can hear and could smell cigarette smoke in our room (even with the windows closed). The staff were very nice and friendly.

When we arrive room wasn’t ready so we left, no problem there, the problem was that when we came back the room wasn’t ready, so they had to change us to a new room, with no AC, never the less the reception people was always willing to help and did what the could to help us.
