Stayed for 4 days and overall I am very satisfied. First of all, the location is very close to the San Diego Convention and Exhibition Center next to it. This is an ideal beach stay! Room is spacious and facing the sea with awesome sunset. Bed was comfortable. 2 bottled water. Free cocktail and food on 5th floor for an hour. Free bicycle use (need to check condition and use early). Breakfast menu with good spread. Excellent service from everyone in the hotel!

The snacks and refrigerator in the suite are empty, and I call every day to ask for water. No one picks up the busy food delivery service on weekends, or takeaway is fast. Bathroom and Shower were tiny. The room smelled like chlorine, badly. We left for a walk just to air it out. Portable AC unit in the room was very loud. TV had about 15 channels. Parking is $37 per night unless you can find something on the street. Parking spaces are very small too. If you don't care about the room and you are there to go to the beach and restaurants, then you will be fine.

The surrounding environment is very good. The trail in front of the hotel makes people want to walk or jog every day. There are no entertainment facilities. If you bring your children, you may just play in the sand. There are many elderly people coming here. If you just want to find a quiet place to enjoy the sea view or the sunset, this is the first choice.

I've been coming to this hotel for over 20 years. Always the same.... PERFECT. Some of the stuff still works there for over 20 years. So good to see them.

Cute hotel right by the beach and boardwalk. Room is clean and as described. Nice pool area with direct view and access to the beach. The reception could not give me more details about the late checkout offer that I had received via email so it looks like there is some disconnect between the online operation vs the service staff at the hotel. Otherwise everything was good and I would be happy to stay here again.

El Cordova is a historical type of hotel with lovely Spanish touches in the room I stayed in (#5) - Spanish tiles in the bathroom also a small kitchen area with a stove, microwave, and a refrigerator. I was also surprised that this room had a small living room in addition to the bedroom. Truly the hotel makes walking easy to Coronado beach as well as all of the stores and restaurants. Previous reviews noted that the Mexican restaurant can be very ”noisy” - there was some noise, however, not bad enough to keep me awake. I was surprised that the hotel did not have an elevator; several steps to get to your room. The clerk was very kind to assist me with getting my luggage in and out of the room has I have some ”issues” with one of my knees. All, in all - I liked my room and would stay there again.
