First, let's talk about the location:
It's absolutely superb, nestled in a quiet, dense forest surrounded by a bay. A long row of buildings connects to an extended covered walkway, so even in the tropics, you're completely shielded from the sun.
Facilities: To be honest, as the first Club Med in Asia, it really shows its age. The room facilities are almost like something from China in the 1980s – very small and worn out. Those looking for perfection might be a bit disappointed.
Hygiene: Due to the old facilities, it just felt a bit unhygienic overall. For example, the towels were yellowish. I brought my own disposable toilet seat covers, disposable facial towels, and disposable bath towels for the entire stay.
Service:
The service was still okay.
Luggage transport, guidance, and dining were all fine.
The dining was pretty thoughtful; the meals changed daily, which was quite good.
Snacks, BBQ, afternoon tea, cocktails, and drinks were available for enjoyment at any time.
However, for someone like me who prefers natural beverages, it was a bit lacking. The fruit drinks were heavily watered down. I asked for a natural coconut and was told it would be an additional 15 MYR. I said that was fine, but then I was told they were out of stock. I find it a bit incomprehensible that in the tropics, natural coconuts aren't readily available.
All the staff were relatively warm and friendly, the entertainment program was rich, and the kids' club offered different activities every day.
I'd like to specifically mention that the hotel breakfast ends at 10:00 AM. If you're still eating, you'll be told to leave, which seems very unfriendly and unreasonable!

Overall, the value for money was quite good. We hired a car, and it took 3 hours one way without traffic. Don't expect too much from the food; there's basically no seafood unless you pay extra, but the paid seafood, like the lobster we ordered for 210 RMB, was decent. The Mini Club was fantastic for the kids; they had a blast, allowing adults to enjoy various activities like rock climbing, kayaking, and Pilates. The evening shows were very lively. As for the G.O.s (Gentle Organizers), the Village Chief was incredibly talented and great. The male G.O. who welcomed us spoke Chinese but didn't mention that we could choose either the arrival or departure lunch, so we were starving until 3 PM, having arrived around 12 PM. The security guard at the entrance was very enthusiastic, always greeting us warmly when we came and went – he left the deepest impression. The spa was excellent and definitely worth experiencing.

apartment with one room, even so it is very spacious. but room look little abandon and dusty. nothing special other than strategic location. guard very friendly, and check in and out very fast.
others side, room very near to beach, only 100m walking already reach the beach. beach have clean water, the sand very clean. so very worth it to stay here.

This was my first time vacationing here, and overall I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff were very polite, warm, and sincere, providing attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay. The unique beachfront scenery is even more stunning than in the photos.
The food was above average, and we ended up having all our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—at the hotel during our stay. We also tried the massage therapy, and I have to say the environment was absolutely amazing—listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying professional massage techniques was a five-star experience.
We also went on a Jungle Trial. There are a few spots where clearer directional signage could be added.
As a small suggestion for the hotel, you might consider setting up a small shop selling souvenirs,postcards and snacks. Guests can truly relax and spend a leisurely time within the hotel without needing to go anywhere.
I would definitely come back again.

The Villa is spacious & beautiful. It has dining table & microwave for you to eat in. The private beach is clean & nice, but we feel itchy when swim. The staff said due to sand flies. The swimming pool is rather small & opening hours is short, 9am - 7pm.
Went for their jungle trail, a short trail that took about half hour. A bit scary though as I was alone. It would be good if there is an accompanying ranger/guide for guests
The breakfast spread is good, like particularly the charcoal toast Hainanese bread with butter. The bread is thick & solid.

Pros:
- The hotel is clean
- The villa was surrounded by greenery, and surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes at night
- Each room has a dedicated parking spot (though there was some confusion upon arrival, we have to park at public parking first then after check in only move to the reserved parking. )
- Water park looks good
Cons:
- Facilities are very old
- Bed springs were noticeable and uncomfortable.
- Bathtub had visible cracks.
- Showerhead and towel bar were rusty.
- Beach area had overgrown grass.
- Breakfast staff were unfriendly.

Staff are very friendly and do their best to help you. Beach is nice, golden sand, but came in October and the sandflies were very bad. Hotel says that they do sandfly control but still got bitten many times. Will try another area next time, not worth the red welts due to sandfly bites. Food in the beach restaurant was subpar. Stayed in Selangor Villa, it was quaint to experience a traditional Malay villa, but there are clear signs of aging - don’t expect fancy new kind of
place. This is super aged villa.

Perfect getaway to escape the city. Overall, the hotel is good, but the bathroom is a bit worn down, with broken wall tiles and moldy bathroom tiles in the shower. The service from the staff is top-notch! 5 stars. Overall, it was a good stay.
