The service at this hotel was outstanding, I was really made to feel special. The building is beautiful, especially the marble staircase and terrace overlooking the sea. My room was very tastefully and luxuriously decorated, it didn’t have a view, but the price was commensurate for that. Overall the hotel gives an experience of mid tier luxury (not very very top level ala Bulgari hotel, but definitely premium).
My biggest complaint is with regards to the gym and spa. The gym is ok, if small, has a squat rack which is great. But there is no locker room or changing area next to it! Any other five star hotel I’ve been to would have a luxurious locker room with a sauna and hot tub etc. Here there wasn’t even a place to change! I had to go back to my room and change into my gym gear the first time I went.
Then there is the ‘spa’. Some hot tubs, relaxation areas and a sauna. Very nice, but a €25 EXTRA for guests!! What kind of a luxury hotel charges extra for use of the sauna?!
Aside from this, I very much enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is so well appointed. Worthy of its rating as a Leading Hotel of the World. Our suite was a dream with our own private patio. I found the price to be commensurate with the quality of the hotel. The public spaces are stunning. I never seem to be able to fully relax on my vacations but I was truly able to unwind. The pool is fabulous. And the service excellent. In fact all the employees were exemplary. I most enjoyed our interactions with the cleaning staff. They were very personable and we shared a few good laughs. The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere. The beach is just out the pool gate.

We visited in August for 4 nights. Have visited Malaga before and thought would try this boutique hotel for a change and glad we did. Our room was ready on our early arrival, at the front and was quiet despite the busy street below. Fantastic central location, clean, comfortable and extra thanks to Nacho for his attention during the breakfast service. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

I stayed in a group of nine people and we all agree that the staff were very cheerful and helpful at all times . Service in the restaurant and at breakfast was superb . This charming hotel is very well furnished and the location is central to Malaga's attractions. There are many good restaurants nearby in the pedestrian precinct

We stayed here in June with friends to celebrate my wife’s birthday for 4 nights, the first thing that I must say impressed us was the charming building & front garden / pool area that was spotlessly clean. Upon entering the reception area you receive the most fabulous friendly welcome that is replicated by all the staff that is committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible. The public areas are spotless with the rooms that are themed by idol bygones like Audrey Hepburn, etc. the rooms are beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds, fluffy towels, TV & tea/ coffee making facilities. This is a small 7 bedroom boutique style villa hotel with a lift, that is only a 10 min walk to the beach front & a 5 min taxi ride to the centre of Malaga at a cost of only 5 Euros on average. The perimeter of the hotel has a key code door with a high wall for security & privacy, there is an honesty refrigerator containing all your favourite drinks in reception (water, coke, beer, wine, prosecco,) & snacks. I must stress nothing is too much trouble for this hotel; for instance if there is something you would like that is not available they will do their best to provide it the next day. We loved the building the relaxed atmosphere, the staff & our breakfast wich included hot & cold selection cooked fresh to order, they do not serve lunch or evening meals but there are some amazing restaurants in the city & one on the beach itself which you can’t miss if you walk directly to the sea front called Chiringuito Oasis, FANTASTIC FOOD! Thank you to the owner & all staff for an amazing stay! WE WILL BE BACK! John & Sharon

We had a very nice 4 days stay with our grown up children at this beautiful, relaxed, small, charming hotel. Rooms were very clean, service was excellent. Despite that some of us arived last minute for breakfast, the staff was extremely polite, nice and helpful with all special tea and oat milk requests. The orange juice was fresh and delicious, the coffee very good and the omelettes, cheese, ham and fruit very tasty. No wishes left open. We received lots of information about the city and the checkin and checkout were totally easy. A special big Thank You to José for his warm welcome and patience with us, but also to the friendly ladies! Gabriela Stichler

We planned a 4 night visit to Malaga and wanted a central hotel so that we could explore the city. We chose the Palacete de Alamos due to its location and also the boutique feel of the hotel. We were definitely not disappointed! We stepped out of the hotel entrance and were immediately in the centre of the old city, with endless bars and restuarants within easy walking distance. We even managed a couple of hours on the beach! The breakfasts were excellent - plentiful and beautifully presented. The staff were delightful. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. On our morning of departure, as we had a very early flight, the hotel packed a picnic for us which was just delightful. We will definitely recommend and also stay again.

Conveniently situated close to Plaza Merced, this relatively new boutique hotel has good sized, well equipped rooms with friendly staff. On our visit, the sole lift was awaiting repair but the staff were great in arranging for our cases to be brought down and provided a free breakfast - great service!

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel on the hill above the old town, next to the castle. It is a steep walk down/up the path and it takes about 15 mins but we enjoyed the challenge a few times - the other times (when we’d eaten too much at dinner), we got a taxi back up for about €7! The number 35 bus also stops at the hotel. The path is lit at night so doable then too. There’s plenty of parking at the hotel and this is free. Our room was nice - comfortable and spacious with a sun-trap balcony with chairs and sun loungers. The bathroom is a bit dated in places, but well maintained and clean. Breakfast was good - the buffet had a decent amount of choice, plus there was a small menu of hot items.

The hotel is on a hill with a superb view, next to a viewing platform and a Moorish castle converted from an ancient Roman fortress. Free parking, breakfast is small but exquisite. Basically, the hotel can not go down the mountain to play, the fly in the ointment is that there is no free water, it is best to buy first in the mountains, of course, if you have plenty of time, you can take a walk to the mountain to buy. In short, I think the hotel is great. The mountain is the expensive hotel.

Breakfast is great! Food and drinks are abundant! It should include all types of food typical of Mediterranean cuisine. It is recommended to try the innovative green cheese! It tastes great, it doesn't smell a bit! There are also various large and thick beautiful picture books for guests to enjoy. The main person! The reception in the lobby is very user-friendly. As far as possible, according to our actual situation, let us check in early and delay CHECK OUT! Address, needless to say, next to is the largest department store, shopping and dining are readily available!

stayed for 5 days, cant beat the location. walkable to every point of interest in the historic center. The hotel is designed like a ship so it feels kind of tight inside the hallways and elevator is tiny. Nevertheless, the room design was modern, comfortable and ecofriendly. Cleaning staff does an excellent job. Amazing view from rooftop and food at the restaurant up there was good. NOTE for business travels, or anyone needing to use wifi. Their WIFI is NOT GOOD, it did not work in our room unless we stood close to the door our outside in the wall and common areas. Not helpful when you need to work or use your phone in the privacy of your room. We spoke to staff about it and they were not much help, it is what it is. They say 'you can use the internet in the common area' Okay.. Breakfast buffet is expensive so not really worth it. Doorman will continually ask you if you're staying there, even after seeing you every day lol- guess that's their job. ALSO not friendly for anyone with disabilities or mobility issues, there's no ramp at the front, you have to lift your luggage up the steps. meh

Hotel with a great location and a rooftop bar and pool that can’t be beat. definitely, a wonderful view that was 360° on the rooftop. We had considered doing a tour of the adjacent cathedral, but when we went to the rooftop we were looking down on the tour. Local shopping was close by many options.Service was impeccable. I like the special touch of having a doorman always present to open the door for you when coming and going.

The planes are regular and low through the day, so if that bothers you, don’t come here. Apart from that, if you get a good price, this hotel has many pluses. It’s very close to the airport, Uber under 10 euros. Views out to sea. There’s a golf course and driving range which is easy to book. There’s parking. The golf course has an outdoor bar at the 9/10 hole, which is conveniently beside the hotel and pro shop. The course is a bit dry, but green in the right places, so we really enjoyed our round in the sun. The hotel room was nicer than we expected, and the patio was lovely looking out onto the garden/pool. We were in 124 which got sun in the evening, so go for the West facing rooms. Soundproofing is not the best, but the Wi-Fi speeds were good. We ate in the hotel bar last night. Staff were fast, super helpful and friendly. I had a beef burger which was ‘real’ , which was a pleasant surprise. We have stayed as a number of different paradors across Spain, and this place is not the same at all. In fact, apart from the name, you would never guess. However, as a hotel, if you need a stopover, or a quick round of golf, and can get a good price, it’s well worth considering.

My family and I have been visiting this hotel for many years since the 60's, we love it. It is an oasis, even when fully booked it never feels crowded. It is close to the airport and planed are flying over every now and then, but this never bothered us. Location is fantastic to visit Malaga, Marbella or any other place, but you need to rent a small car.

This hotel sits on the bank of a non-existing river just at the very beginning of the old town of Malaga. Actually, it is on top of the old medieval town wall with some Roman parts. It can be seen through the glass floors you walk on at the entrance to the hotel and even better a half level down. It is fantastic! The whole reception area is very airy and beautiful. Our room was large and very nice. The bed was soft, a very unusual luxury in continental Europa which I very much appreciated. However, there could have been more than one chair in such a large room. It is now completely dominated by the bed. The bathroom was rather big and included two wash basins. Even if it was a bathtub and not a shower, which I prefer, it was well covered with full glass doors, so it worked fine. The only disadvantage was the high walls of the bathtub and together with the internal three steps stair up to the bathroom and entrance it is not very good for those who have restricted movement abilities. Our room had three full lengths windows, so called French windows looking out into a nice car free area. Unfortunately, the hotel was in my view overcautious since they had put a number of large red stickers on them that completely spoiled everything, otherwise it could have been very nice. The breakfast was good with a large buffet, the only thing that could have been added was an omelette chef. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and even more so those in the reception. I liked this hotel very much.

Excellent location. After having bad deal from Soho and Sea Views apartment I moved here. I had great customer service. Staff are professional and helpful. The hotel is clean. I had a very nice room with balcony. Truly enjoyed the hotel. Unfortunately, the pool was always packed and unable to enjoy pool. Highly recommended

We stayed in 4 rooms as a group of 8 friends doing a speedy mini break in Malaga. The standard rooms were set up as twins as we requested and we all very keen and really well appointed. Great water pressure in the shower! All of the front desk staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The hotel is so well positioned for a malaga city break just steps from the Cathedral. We had lunch at Matiz which was tasty and even after a miscommunication due to a translation issue they were quick to correct the problem. breakfast was included and was simple and what you would expect - it would be nice to be offered the hotter options as we didn’t realise we could get those until after we had finished our last breakfast!. Our only real disappointment was on our last evening when we were going out for a special meal and wanted to have a cocktail on the roof top bar. We had left 45 minutes but the waiter (v curly hair) wouldn’t serve us at the bar and insisted he would come to take our order - despite telling us on 2 occasion he would just be 2 or 3 minutes (and serving others arriving after us) , it was 20 minutes later and we still hadn’t had a drink so left to go to our dinner reservation which we would otherwise be late for and had a cocktail there instead. It seemed a really disappointing thing to happen and left us very disappointed given the standard of all the other staff and service at the hotel otherwise. We would defiantly return but perhaps steer clear of the rook top bar.

Stayed here for three nights with our two young daughters, excellent all around. The location is outstanding for those wishing to walk around the historic center on foot, and the rooms do not disappoint. There are two buildings in this property, one a historic building that has been renovated, and the other a new, presumably more modern/efficient wing. We choose the historic wing and loved it - renovations were not only done well, but the design was tasteful and thoughtfully executed as well. Service and housekeeping were strong. We have elite loyalty status at the neighboring hotel but ended up here, and the experience was much better. The downside was the (very) small pool on the rooftop (nice view) - our girls weren't interested in going in, which is rare - but the stay was excellent nonetheless.
