Overall, I had a good stay at the hotel. The property is beautiful, the room was comfortable, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, there were two issues that significantly affected my experience. First, the hotel charged a very large security deposit of approximately AED 1,600 for a two-night stay. This amount was charged to my card without a clear explanation during check-in, and I was not informed in advance about the size of the deposit. As of writing this review, I have still not received the amount back. Better communication and transparency regarding security deposits would be greatly appreciated. Second, the housekeeping service was disappointing, especially on my checkout day. I requested ice cubes three separate times and only received them after approximately 1.5 hours. In general, whenever I requested something, it took a long time to arrive, and I had to repeatedly follow up with the staff. That said, I would like to sincerely thank Carolyn Muimi for her professionalism and support during my checkout process. She took the time to assist me, address my concerns, and promptly send an email to the finance department regarding the refund of the security deposit. Her assistance was greatly appreciated and left a positive impression. While I enjoyed the hotel overall and appreciated the facilities and atmosphere, I believe improvements are needed in guest communication regarding deposits and in the responsiveness of the housekeeping team.

Location is good and the hotel has a nice pool. However, service is mechanical and inattentive - particularly the concierge and reception who tried to be helpful and friendly but actually not genuinely addressing your issues with real solutions. Swimming pool is nice but it is messy with slow turnover of towels and cushions are missing. The wifi did not work well. Ba Ban restaurant is really bad for Chinese food…

Excellent hotel, we loved everything. If possible, book a room with a balcony and sea view; the view is gorgeous. The pools are lovely. The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. The hotel is a bit far from civilization, so a car is highly recommended. The on-site restaurants are expensive, and eating there every day would be very pricey. Upon check-in, they pre-authorized a 260 rial deposit on my card for 9 days, so be prepared for that.

The sea view is stunning, and the service is excellent. There's a great variety of restaurants, and they're all spacious. We had dinner at the hotel, enjoying the sea breeze and the live band – it was incredibly relaxing. My only minor complaint is that the room was a bit small, but otherwise, no downsides. I absolutely love Oman and will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended I had a wonderful stay at InterContinental Muscat Hotel from 21st to 23rd January. From the moment we arrived, the experience was smooth and pleasant. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the hotel has a very nice, welcoming scent throughout the lobby and common areas. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the bathroom was spotless. The pool area is great, with different depths (1.1 m and 1.3 m), plus a dedicated kids’ pool around 30 cm, which makes it ideal for families as well. One of the highlights is the direct access to Qurm Beach, which is a big plus. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good buffet selection, and the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Overall, a great stay and a classic, reliable 5-star experience in Muscat. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay again.

The breakfast was incredibly rich and diverse, and the view of the ocean and beach right outside the window was absolutely stunning! We had a small issue during our stay, but the hotel staff resolved it very quickly. Their service was truly excellent.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Muscat during our road trip from Riyadh through Dubai and finally into Muscat, and it turned out to be the perfect stop to unwind and explore the city. The hotel has a charming 90s vibe—classic, warm, and nostalgic in the best way. Despite its vintage character, everything is impressively clean and well maintained. The location is another big plus: right near the beach, making it easy to enjoy a morning walk or a relaxing sunset. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. After long hours on the road, that level of hospitality really stands out. Overall, a comfortable and memorable stay, and a great base for touring around Muscat.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful palace. The service was excellent: the staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. However, some improvements are needed in the rooms. For example, the beds feel outdated, and there is virtually no digitalisation, which is essential nowadays. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, but a renovation would be necessary to bring this magnificent palace up to modern standards.

This stay far exceeded my expectations, a definite must-give good review. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the pillow height was just right. I slept soundly all night, and all my fatigue vanished. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and the water pressure was stable, washing away all the dust from my journey. I especially want to commend the service; everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was smiling and responded quickly. The breakfast was plentiful, and even staying for three days, the options were never the same. The location is also very convenient, with a subway station right outside. This was our first time vacationing in Oman, and since it was during the Chinese New Year, we booked a suite. The room was comfortable and spacious, with four bathrooms, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, the refrigerator provided wasn't freezing properly, causing our purchased seafood to go bad. It's worth mentioning that the hotel promptly compensated us, providing excellent service.
