What I loved most about my stay at the Golden Gulf was two things: their dim sum breakfast and the location. First, the dim sum. The Jinhe Hall truly lives up to the reputation of a long-standing five-star hotel. The shrimp dumplings are freshly made and steamed, with thin skins and juicy, bouncy filling – a real delight in every bite. The phoenix claws are steamed until tender and flavorful, and the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup uses authentic, high-quality ingredients! The ambiance is also pleasant, with a spacious dining hall and high ceilings. The location couldn't be better. It's right in the city center on Jinsha Road, next to MixC World and Suning Plaza. It's only a few minutes' walk to Longyan South Road Food Street, perfect for an evening stroll to sample all sorts of Shantou snacks. There's also an airport express bus stop right at the entrance, making it super convenient to get to Chaoshan Airport and Shantou Station – no worries about transportation at all. As for the room, being an older five-star hotel, the facilities do show their age and aren't particularly trendy. However, they are clean, tidy, and spacious enough. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, making the overall stay comfortable. If you're not too picky about the newest hardware, this place offers excellent value for money, especially for its dim sum and prime location. I'll definitely choose it again next time I visit Shantou.

The hotel is within walking distance of MixC Mall and close to Longyan South Road. It's a short taxi ride to Xiaogongyuan Park. If you want to visit Nanao Island, you can rent a car and park it in the hotel's parking lot. Overall, the location is great, making getting around very convenient. On hot days, if you don't feel like going out, there are plenty of food delivery options. They deliver to the concierge, and a little robot brings it up to your room. I was initially worried that the hotel, being a bit older, might have outdated facilities. However, I was pleasantly surprised that everything is very well maintained, giving it the substantial feel of an established five-star hotel. The room is quite spacious, with comfortable 1.35m beds and nice bedding. The air conditioning works powerfully. There's an outdoor pool that looks quite beautiful. The hardware is generally good, but I have to say, the service is pretty mediocre. When I checked in, they said there were no available rooms and they were still being cleaned. They suggested I go to lunch first and took my phone number, promising to call, but no one ever called. The afternoon tea, which was included with my booking, wasn't offered proactively. I only remembered it the night before check-out and had to ask staff for the voucher. When I encountered staff in the elevator, they didn't seem to have the awareness to greet guests proactively. So, the 'software' (service) is far from five-star.

This hotel is located right next to Shantou's Binhai Road, very close to Longyan South Road, and you can even reach Xiaogongyuan (Little Park) by shared e-bike. My room had a balcony, and the evening view of the inner bay was absolutely beautiful. Overall, it was clean and hygienic, and the bed was comfortable. Both check-in and check-out were very quick and efficient.

A surprisingly good hotel! From its exterior and name, it looks like an old-school five-star hotel, but the rooms have been renovated and are quite new and spacious. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and professional—on par with Haidilao's service. They even provided complimentary desserts every night. When checking out, they prepared portable teacups and tea leaves as a parting gift. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shantou.

The room was decent, and the cleanliness was acceptable, but the location was quite good. However, the room facilities are a bit old; the bathroom doorknob was badly scratched, and the exhaust fan was quite noisy. The soundproofing was average, as I could hear conversations from the next room. I specifically asked the front desk to clean the room when I left for sightseeing the next morning, but by 4 PM when I returned, it still hadn't been done. I had to quickly ask the cleaning staff to just replenish the bathroom toiletries. I hope they improve their management in the future!

The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious. Attention to detail was evident throughout, making it incredibly good value for money. Highly recommended, I'll definitely choose this hotel again!

This hotel is an absolute gem! It's just a stone's throw from MixC, two streets away from Longyan South Road, and right across from Suning Plaza. Plus, Hesheng Plaza is nearby, and there's a Danxia hotpot restaurant directly opposite. Wow! The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, and the checkout process is very accommodating. The hotel itself is super comfortable, and the air conditioning is wonderfully cold.

Fantastic hotel! The staff, especially the kind young man, was incredibly patient and helpful. Because I liked the hotel so much, they even gave me some delicious Orange Hotel cookies as a special treat. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent—tasty, refreshing, with a great variety of options and very nutritious. Next time I'm in another city, I'll definitely be looking for an Orange Hotel to stay at.

We booked the Octonauts themed room, and my child absolutely loved seeing all the dolls. The room even came with a themed mini-shoulder bag. The room and facilities were pretty standard. I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was served until noon. There are plenty of convenient dining options nearby, especially the goose rice and congee places. It's also quite close to Aofei Plaza. If you don't feel like walking or taking a taxi, you can just grab a shared e-scooter on the street and explore the area.

I booked the Imperial Hotel last minute, and as soon as I arrived, I was told my room had been upgraded for free! It was huge and spacious, with brand new facilities and luxurious decor. They even have a free swimming pool for guests – truly befitting an established five-star hotel. The location is also great, close to Zhujiang Road Food Street, which I actually think has better food than Longquan South Road Food Street. The hotel service was absolutely impeccable, especially our butler. She was incredibly thoughtful and patient, contacting us even before we arrived. Once we were there, she surprised us with local Shantou specialties and toys for the kids. Before we left, she proactively arranged our ride to the high-speed train station. The hotel driver was super fast, getting us from the hotel to the station in just five minutes. Our whole trip was made so much better by staying at the Imperial Hotel; I'll definitely be back here next time I visit Shantou!
