Tulum Resorts

The location is great. The parking lot is just opposite the hotel. The room is a 2-minute walk from the beach. The beach is wide and there are few tourists. I saw the most beautiful sunrise. The large balcony is surrounded by green plants and is very suitable for sunbathing. It is quieter than other hotels at night. The double shower can take a shower at the same time. The hotel thoughtfully prepared three large bottles of drinking purified water and a woven bag for going out... I like Tulum starting from the hotel.

Stunning rooms! The place is bang on the middle of the jungle, so there are bugs and frogs etc, just be aware of that. Right next to a cenote! It’s on a motorway and you cannot really walk anywhere so you need a car or moped etc, as it is pretty far. Theee is a small jacuzzis and a sauna, which they try to charge a prohibitively high price for…. Considering it is the only amenity the hotel has this should be free. Bedsheets need an update. Have stains and rips. I still think it is an amazing place to stay especially for the price!

A place that solo travelers often visit.. It's clean and the staff is friendly. I use it often and recommend it.

In the national park, the environment is very good. The single cabin has a hammock, complete facilities, and comfortable bedding. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the beach is beautiful. The lights are dim at night, which is not very convenient. If you encounter wind and rain, you can only call for room service, which has few choices and is not cheap. There are many people at breakfast, and the waiting time is long. But other than that, the overall experience is very good, and you can walk to the ruins park, it is worth staying

The hotel is located in Shidong District, with convenient transportation. There is a big supermarket opposite, a restaurant next door, and the Ruins Park is less than 5 minutes away by car. Although it is located on the side of the road, because the room is equipped with soundproof glass, it is not noisy after closing the doors and windows. The internal environment is very fresh, the room and the bedding are very clean, the free breakfast is made to order, fresh and delicious, the room has free bottled water, a variety of tea bags and coffee, the front desk has hot and cold water dispensers, and the service attitude is also very good. Stayed happily for two nights and it was worth it.

Room type selection: (There is a giant pit here, it is recommended to avoid the pit) We booked a ”sea breeze room” and told us that we had upgraded our room type when we checked in. We waited for us to check in and found that we had transferred to the ”pool room” The difference between the two is that the sea breeze room is located in the second row of the hotel's seaside, you can have your own terrace but not against the sea, you can feel the sea breeze The pool room is actually a jungle room with a pool, and you can't feel the sea breeze at all. After coordination, we finally gave us the sea breeze we wanted. It turned out that the ”sea breeze room” was oversold that day, and it was upgraded to the ”seaside room” for free. But it's really noisy! It's noisy to sleep at all Because it is made of tent materials, the sea breeze is blowing at night, and it is not soundproof at all, and the sound of the waves beating the reef is no longer the level of white noise. It is the kind that requires earplugs to sleep. Don't listen to the free upgrade of the hotel. ”Sea Wind Room” is the only recommended choice. Mosquitoes: It's the kind of thing that you can get bitten on your legs as soon as you go out. Remember to spray mosquito water before going out No matter how close the road is, The beach in this house is almost impossible to walk up, because it is not cleaned, so the smell is still very serious This wild luxury is still mainly ”wild”, bathing needs to be in the open air, this feeling is OK, water heat is very important

A nice hotel with a good breakfast. Parking is limited, but there's a clean beach in front. A restaurant next door offers drinks on the beach. The rooms are very clean, and the prices are reasonable.

The only point to consider, which is not the fault of the hotel, are the high values charged by taxi drivers in the end of the year to go from the hotel to the beach, about 300/400 Mexican pesos, 17-22 dollars.

We had an overall wonderful experience for our 7 days spent at Hotelito Azul! We went with another couple and each stayed in the Oceanfront Suites (we were above them, they were ground level). The rooms were clean and spacious. Somewhat limited storage for clothes but we made the best of the shelving/hanging unit provided. The shower is a dream. The maid service cleaned our room daily and did a wonderful job! We loved the treats left on our pillows each day. AC was yours to control. One challenge we faced that would have a simple fix was the lack of rugs in the room. You’re walking through sand to get to your room and yes, there’s a bucket of water to rinse before entering however we were desperate for a small outdoor rug or just something at either the sides or foot of the bed to brush off sand before getting in bed. Interestingly, our friends downstairs had an awesome runner at the foot of their bed so maybe just consistency with that would make a huge difference! You wake to a cute basket with coffee each morning and they will refill your drinking water as much as you need it in the room. We can’t say enough good things about the staff. You communicate to them through What’sApp which offered quick responses to any questions or concerns or when ordering food/drink. Larissa, the concierge was WONDERFUL. She welcomed us every day and made us feel right at home and taken care of during our stay. She helped fill out trip with wonderful experiences whether it be tours, great local spots for food/drink or logistics. We rented scooters from the hotel the majority of our vacation days and it was well worth it. We did find the prices just across the street were cheaper however we liked the convenience of renting through the hotel. The food and drink at the hotel is all delicious, although we quickly learned that eating and drinking on the beach does get expensive, so we chose wisely when/how much we ate at the hotel. This just comes with the location. The physical location of the hotel is ideal because it isn’t too far down into the beach strip, which traffic became pretty bad the further you drove in. The aesthetic and details of the hotel are perfect for making you feel like you’re living in a whimsical jungle. FYI to all looking to stay on the beach in Tulum, during April-November or so, Tulum gets a massive amount of seaweed that makes it nearly impossible to swim in the ocean. The hotels, including Hotelito Azul, do their best to remove as much seaweed from the beach as possible, but man, is it an uphill battle. This limited our ability to sit out on the beach unfortunately, because the only relief from the heat was the outdoor shower. Which, again, is lovely, but not the ocean. Luckily, Tulum has so many other wonderful things to do that we did not feel this impacted our trip in any significant way. Those that travel during the better months have a lovely beachfront area to look forward to at Hotelito Azul. All in all, we loved our stay at this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!
