Playa Paraiso Tulum|3.39km from city center
The most cost-effective hotel in the Tulum Beach area, with a beautiful cliff sea view, welcome drink, and you can book a sea view for dinner, the view is beautiful… The hotel can't go directly to the sea, so the price is relatively beautiful, and it's not far away if you want to go to the sea. There is a white sand beach next door after a five-minute walk. The room is big, and hot tea is delivered every day. The service is very good, especially the price is half of that of many hotels in the beach area next door. It's perfect!

The king bedroom we booked was a huge room. The bed as many other in the reviews point out was a bit hard but nothing to uncomfortable. We didn't use the air conditioner. Bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was good. They didn't want us to put the toilet paper in the bowel but in the trash, which was fine with us. Front desk people were helpful.

In the national park, the environment is very good. The single cabin has a hammock, complete facilities, and comfortable bedding. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the beach is beautiful. The lights are dim at night, which is not very convenient. If you encounter wind and rain, you can only call for room service, which has few choices and is not cheap. There are many people at breakfast, and the waiting time is long. But other than that, the overall experience is very good, and you can walk to the ruins park, it is worth staying

It is good because the ADO terminal and downtown are close. Overall, the facilities are clean and good. My room doesn't have air conditioning, but the wind is good and the fan is cool. But it's hard to open the window because it's in the hallway. There is a Japanese ramen udon sake shop and ice cream and coffee cafe in the hotel building.

Here’s a polished version of your review: We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and everything was great! The host was incredibly kind and provided us with all the information we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has a garage, so parking was very convenient. It was truly worth the price. The location is good, situated on the main street, but we didn’t hear any noise from outside. Highly recommended!

The room was very small and had a rooftop view, but the view was only on the 4th floor, so it wasn't that good, and I could see the window next door, so I had to keep the blinds open every day. The pool is small, but the interior is very neat and pretty. The female staff was a little rude when I checked in. Other staff are friendly

I started out in my younger days staying at 3 star hotels working myself up to 5 star hotels these days. On this recent weekend trip i held back on my post xmas spending and got a great deal at Kore so I took a chance on it despite all the negative reviews. I think the 1 out 5 star ratings are ridiculously unfair. Rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Location was decent and had great views of the sea. I only had breakfast as I like to get out and explore, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality of food. The waiters were good, as soon as I sat down, my coffee was poured. After they recognized I tip, I never had to wait in line to get my omelets...lol. best part was the service from the front desk concierge (the Mexican soap opera looking guy) Victor. Dude was always so nice and helpful. Upon checkout, I had a late flight out, he knew that I love bike riding, so he let me keep my bracelet to have access until my shuttle arrived. I did not experience most of the issues on these reviews. English speaking staff was a challenge, but i found that was an issue everwhere I was in Tulum. Overall, if you were to go by the strict AAA guidelines, this hotel would probably recieve a 3-3.5 rating and closer to a 4 by the generous booking sites. This was no Hyatt, but a good value. Dont let those 1 star ratings discourage you. My rating does not include the quality of food...

There is no shower and no lights. We are ready, but we live on the first floor and we were chopped to death by the people on the second floor. We were still walking around at two o'clock in the morning, and there were people arguing next door until late 🥹 All the staff's services can't be said. In other words, this place is enough for a day. The price/performance ratio is not too high, and the breakfast is good.

The all-encompassing deciding factor is the number of restaurants, but here, in addition to various restaurants in Mexico, Italy, sushi, France, teppanyaki, buffet style, there are ice creams and smoothies, cafes, etc. I like it every day! !! There are a few souvenir shops, they are very good! The good thing is the evening event, where the souvenir stall opens from the square on the spot. It is nice to see something other than the souvenir shop without going out. Most importantly, the tequila store and the artists attracted on the spot are great! The resort also holds many activities every day. I am looking forward to participating in cooking classes, sports, etc.!

The room design is very high-end, and it feels like a renovated hotel. The swimming pool is beautiful and deep, making it more suitable for adults to swim and play. The corridors of the hotel are relatively old, and there is no elevator up and down. If you have large and heavy luggage, it will be a bit difficult. You can ask the hotel to provide a hotel on the underground floor, which will be more convenient. In addition, it is a little noisy at night because it is close to the bar, but I can still accept it. Overall, a good place for a good price.

Zona Hotelera Tulum|7.33km from city center
Really fantastic and peaceful hotel amidst the busyness of Tulum. First thing to mention is the staff, who were all super lovey, helpful and kind. From the moment we arrived and until we left, everyone we came into contact with delivered the highest possible level of service. We booked one of the ground floor beachside rooms with terrace and back garden (with bath and hammock) and it was well worth it. The room was perfectly located, with a view of the sea from the front terrace and seconds from the beach and restaurant. Room facilities were great, with a comfy bed, plenty space and a very nice bathroom. Beach facilities were also really good, with excellent and friendly service from the beach bar until sunset. The restaurant was also really good, with a decent range of vegetarian option. Food isn't cheap (standard for Tulum), but everything we ate was of the highest quality and super tasty. The hotel benefits from being able to use the facilities of its sister hotel next door - La Zebra. Over there you'l find a Mexican restaurant, upstairs bar and a really nice pool. We ate at La Zebra a few times and the quality was as good as it was at Lula. We also got a token for a free cocktail at La Zebra and other sister hotels, which was a really nice touch. Just outside the front of the hotel is the main beach road, where you'll find lots of places to eat, 24 hours supermarkets, pharmacies, cafes and bars within short walking distance. The hotel also offers a range of daily wellbeing classes and experiences such as yoga and sound healing. We didn't end up doing any of these but could tell that others who did really enjoyed the experience. It also added to the overall very chilled and relaxing vibe to the place. All in all a top quality hotel for what is very reasonably priced with lovely staff who go that extra mile to make you stay all that more special.

La Veleta Tulum|1.53km from city center
Hotel Muare is one of the more popular hotels in the Tulum area. It is a perfect getaway if you want to have a quiet time from the hustle-and-bustle of the city to recharge. The rooms are designed to look like houses in the remote places but with all the modern amenities. It also is a great option for someone who cares about staying at an Instagrammable hotel/resort. There is one restaurant which provides good food. Negatives: -Getting to the hotel will require you to drive through really broken dirt road with several pits. -While the food options are good, if you’re someone with a dietary restrictions - e.g., vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, don’t eat red meat or raw fish, etc. you may run out of options quickly. The staff is flexible though, so they may customize few dishes for your suiting. -In general Tulum is expensive. However, Muare is up a notch. While it was a great place to stay, the price didn’t seem justifiable to me. Specially, since I don’t care as much about capturing Instagrammable photos. -While the staffs are helpful and friendly, their extreme focus on getting money out of you is just off putting. Examples: we planned to have food by the pool and it took them forever to get us the food. They missed certain items in the order. We also had issues with our food (fly in maple syrup) which was still fine (since bugs/insects can fall in your food when you live in the nature). However, when we reported and asked for a replacement, they never returned with the fresh maple syrup. Finally, I had to go to the restaurant and pick it up myself. However, when it came to asking you to pay, they would run behind you to get your sign. On top of that, there is a default tip amount included in the bill which some of them may not even care to mention to you. While checking out as well, they added a hefty service charge to the bill - this on top of the already expensive booking fee. Overall, my review is that it is a good place to stay. However, too expensive and the cost is not really justifiable. Plus for the good service they provide, it is really off putting when you see how focused they’re on getting more money out of you in any way possible.

Stunning rooms! The place is bang on the middle of the jungle, so there are bugs and frogs etc, just be aware of that. Right next to a cenote! It’s on a motorway and you cannot really walk anywhere so you need a car or moped etc, as it is pretty far. Theee is a small jacuzzis and a sauna, which they try to charge a prohibitively high price for…. Considering it is the only amenity the hotel has this should be free. Bedsheets need an update. Have stains and rips. I still think it is an amazing place to stay especially for the price!

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel calls itself a 5-star property. My whole experience here was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. Service is absolutely terrible. Nobody helps you with anything, reception doesn’t care, and every time you call the front desk or concierge, nobody answers the phone. Zero hospitality. Food was honestly disgusting. Nothing fresh, no flavor, very low quality. Drinks taste like water — literally no alcohol. Even the cups and glasses in restaurants were dirty. It feels completely unacceptable for a resort that is supposed to be luxury. We also had a very unpleasant situation with the membership “presentation” scam. They invited us to a “lunch to learn about the brand,” but in reality, it turned into a pushy timeshare-style sales pitch. None of this was explained honestly beforehand. When we complained, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, as if this is normal. On top of that, I forgot my dress in the room. They admitted they found it, but for two days they ignored me, didn’t contact me back, and didn’t send it. I kept calling and messaging, and still no response. This shows how bad the communication and customer care truly is. After during checkout they asked us to sign the paper that we have no problem with the hotel and requested we write a good review about them. Ridiculous. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money, not even close to 5-star standards, and definitely not the luxury experience they advertise. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, honest, and professionally managed resort.

We had a great time! Plenty of activities to do in plenty of things to see oh just a wonderful location. My only complaint is I was in Kassav four and the ice machine was never repaired the week I was there. I have to make that statement because it’s such an inconvenience to go to the other castles or qualifies so it’s all a complaint,

Our 6th trip to the Cancun area, first stay here - wonderful experience. Wonderful, attentive staff. Beautiful beach and reef. Snorkeling was good - beautiful fish, coral regrowing in the outer reefs. Food quality was better than hoped for - lunch seems to be the best option with dinner being a close 2nd. Appreciated the attention to the Turtles laying and hatching- had a specialist come in nightly to protect and clearly mark areas to keep them safe. Dive shop was great - needed a pair of socks to keep fins from rubbing blisters - they ordered them overnight for me. Restaurant staff are lovely. Room attendants are great - loved the towel art!! Will return!!
