Reviews of The Malone

The accommodation provided did not match what was booked. I booked a “Classic Apartment” at £150 per night. On arrival, I was placed in what appears to be the Malone 37 apartment, which is a separate and more basic offering. This was not disclosed at the time of booking. Additionally, the condition of the apartment was poor, with visible damage to furniture and hygiene concerns, particularly in the bathroom. In essence, it was disgusting and very basic.  I raised this immediately but was told no alternative rooms were available. As a result, I had to leave and arrange alternative accommodation. A supervisor later offered another room, which contradicts the earlier statement. I have provided photographic evidence and requested a refund, but this has not been resolved. This booking was both misrepresented and not of acceptable standard.  I will never use either organisation again.  I will re upload photos as they won’t post, for some reason.

Reception said my room was comparable with that booked. I find this behaviour unacceptable as I was not offered any refund or credit for next stay. Happy to clarify further.

What a beautiful, clean, friendly and recently renovated hotel! I would definitely go back :) I stayed with my sister in a twin room (2 beds) - super comfy beds and amazing bathroom!

The Malone Hotel in Belfast offers newly renovated, large, and modern rooms that are very comfortable and stylish. The self-service breakfast is good with decent variety, and it's within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants along Malone Road and nearby areas. However, while the description mentioned free parking, it's actually 10 GBP per night, which was disappointing; we also had a room close to the elevator, which was noisy at night as we could hear everyone going up and passing our room. Overall, a solid choice for a convenient stay despite the parking hiccup and noise issue.

The location of the hotel is not in the city centre but one good thing is that they offer free parking which is convenient.

Good location, excellent room & shower, good parking. All you woukd want in a good value Coty centre hotel.

We had a fantastic stay in The Malone. Lovely spacious room. Great breakfast, lovely bar food. Great to have free parking too. Nice relaxed hotel  The hotel is located  in a lovely area in Belfast, just around the corner from Queen’s university, Ulster Museum  & the Botanic Gardens . Easy to walk to the town centre too. . All staff at the hotel were so friendly & helpful. I would highly recommend The Malone Hotel.

Gorgeous hotel, brilliant location, staff really friendly and always on hand to help, rooms spacious and modern and the buffet breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from. Highly recommend this hotel

A lovely hotel in a great location with friendly and helpful staff —- however there were so many small negatives that the overall experience was disappointing. The lift was not in service so had to use the stairs. Thankfully not a high rise and I was on the 1st floor. A huge, well decorated room was ruined by air conditioning and extraction units right outside the window which made for a loud and restless night. The frosted glass on the windows left the room dull. Black mold in the bathroom, large crack on the wall and dirty carpets did not help. Neither did the badly made bed and stiff coarse dressing gowns, which I had to look for and found squashed into a shelf in the wardrobe - and one had a large black stain on it. WiFi was very good but there were no usb / type C charging ports. TV was tiny in comparison to the size of the room and kept losing its signal. I also noted a blown lightbulb, but I guess this could have happened at any time. Breakfast was also disappointing, although the sausage was delicious and the highlight. They did provide a small gluten free option too, but I’m not sure if GF bread and non dairy milk is sufficient in and of themselves. The hotel claims a 4* rating and for that I would have at least expected tea/coffee table service. Instead I got it myself from a coffee machine. The coffee itself was very strong to the point of being undrinkable. Finally while speaking with staff it emerged that the Trip price, which supposedly included a huge discount was actually way over the standard price for a room with this hotel.

The room Is nice and very comfortable to stay.

Booked for my parents. They loved it. And when my daughter visited them for breakfast, it was free for her too. Nice touch.
