Beautiful manor house with spacious comfortable rooms. Excellent food and generous welcoming staff. Very good value for money. You have to write 200 signs for these reviews (why?), so let me just repeat that iit is a great experience!

Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out.

Very pleasant hotel. Warm and friendly welcome. A bucolic haven of peace. A table for dinner that is worth the detour. A very nice discovery. Pleasure for the eyes and tasty creative food . I highly recommend. Private parking. Wi-Fi. Gardens. Hotel on a human scale. Top team.

Enchanting break in this authentic and cosy place. We could have breakfast in the garden with local products. The hosts were great and very attentioned. The nature and villages around are charming, and it is very handy to visit Cotentin from la Ferme des MARES;

A place run by a couple who took on this challenge in 2007. Magnificent setting and a service worthy of those looking for a warm bucolic place. The cuisine is excellent, the owners and employees are humble and very close to the guests. The region is worth a detour with its varied activities.

We only spent one night there, during a stage on the GR of the Cotentin tour, but it was a very pleasant time. The building and its outbuildings are located in the immediate vicinity of Le Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay which gave its name to the village. It's a couple who renovated it around ten years ago and who are investing in it without counting. From the moment you book, everything is done to welcome you as best as possible. We had a very large room (Cocoon Room, no. 3, but presented as a “suite” on the hotel website), with two comfortable armchairs, a large desk, two large windows, excellent bedding… in short, everything for invite you to stay there longer. It should be noted, however, that we could hear a little people in the kitchen, located on the lower floor (it is an old building) and we found it problematic to only have the beautiful old-fashioned bathtub in the bathroom. baths: to shower, it's guaranteed to flood. The restaurant room allows you to dine well in a cozy setting and it is in this same room that we had the pleasure of breakfast (orange pressing machine, a plus).

Expérience hébergement bonne mais restauration pas terrible. Joli cadre, chambre propre et spacieuse. Notre chambre n'était pas fonctionnel pour prendre une douche sans inonder la pièce. Pas de porte-manteau dans la salle d'eau. Au niveau de la restauration, pas de choix de menu un menu unique servi le soir à 30 euros sans savoir ce que l'on aura dans l'assiette. Pas de produits locaux ou de saison ...nous avons eu des anchois en entrée, du magret de canard en plat. Les assiettes sont belles et bien réalisées mais tout cela manque de goût et de cuisson. Assiettes décevantes pour les papilles alors que le visuel est superbe du coup on s'attend à quelquechose de bien meilleur. Sur note séjour, nous n'y avons pris qu'un repas ... l'opération n'étant pas bonne à renouveler car en plus il n'y a pas de choix donc si on n'aime pas, pas de changement possible !!!! Petit déjeuner trop cher !
