    For Bremerhaven this hotel fits very well. Bremerhaven is not a huge city in terms of inhabitants but locationswise it is a long stretch. So wherever you chose to stay, things are closer or more far away. And Bremerhaven is not a sleeping beauty, more tough and rocky. This hotel is in the old fish port. There is still some fishing industry, right behind the hotel. We booked a room facing the water line and enjoyed the views. They are far from romantic bucolic but as fascinating as industrial port views can be. They have their own fascination. The room was good, insulation seemed well, albeit we were opposite the lifts. Reception desk staff was welcoming (and Mr. Stern most welcoming). It attended the bar as well, hence multi tasking in the evening and that put a lot of stress on them. However, they were always kind and friendly. Breakfast offered good choices and really good, strong filter coffee. There was a coffee machine as well for indivudual cups. There is a new bus line (HL) with a stop near by the hotel that connects this part of the town with the more central parts. Very convenient. We did not use it since we came by car. If you continue the water line further, there is Greta's Café, a good find! We ate at one of the fish restaurants nearby in the transformed industrial site. More centrally located "Villa Seebeck" would be a good restaurant choice. And for museums: one less popular but very interesting one is the museum of the 50's. Unfortunately further away and open on Sundays only. I liked staying at this hotel. Those four nights were great.

    The Haverkamp is ideally located for anyone visiting the German Emigration Museum, Zoo, or any of Bremerhaven's terrific waterfront attractions. I found the decor a little weird (Red walls? Silver skulls?), but everything worked, the breakfast buffet was opulent, and the small, tranquil pool was big enough to swim short laps. Morning people and hard-working people will be happy to know that this pool opens at 6 AM, so that you can still use it if you need to get an early start. The woman working at the front desk was a marvel of multi-lingual efficiency and good spirits. Moderately priced, this hotel is a perfect spot for anyone who wants to explore the wonders of this underrated city.

    The location is great, you are right in the center of things, and teh estuary and all the museums are near-by. you can leave the car in the carpark for the Climate Houae (Klimahaus) for 7 Euros, which is a bargain compared to many other places we have been. The hotel can be accessed from the car park , parki n rows 8 or 9. The room was good - the view fantansic, the bed and the pillows comfortable, although we only had one large blanket, which unfortunarely was not shared equally ! There was coffee and tea and a fridge for your use in the room, and all-in all it was very comfortable, as you would expect . What really raised the tone was the staff who made a concentrated effort made you feel welcome and had suggestions on how to improve your stay, despite the fact that their job is obviously harder due to the hygiene restrictions. You may have to wait at lifts or for breakfast, but the staff are aware of the inconvience caused and give you the feeling they are doing something about it. That was very positive.

    Family of Four. Breakfast was excellent! Plenty of variety warm and cold. Rooms were spacious enough. Junior suite worked well for our family needs. Great view of the canal from the 4th floor. Only complaint was that the hallways and elevator were cold (during winter). Wind storm when we stayed and it was loud and a bit drafty on the windows. Restrooms were adequate, clean and decent water pressure. Hot water was great! Be sure to visit the zoo, the Fiedlers Restaurant, AusWandererHaus and Klimahaus when in town. We used Taxi’s to get around as the train was not close to the hotel.

    Here you could easily install yourself to the finest hotel in Bremerhaven. After my entire hotel visits, I can say that this was one of the better ones. Before, I had heard that the city is not as charming as it was considered only a port city to transport containers back and forth. There are plenty of things such as museums artificial parks and tall houses with vantage points. With a little walk south from the city center, in 30 minutes you can reach the absolute most charming fishing port with associated market and tremendously good restaurants with a large selection of dishes. We would strongly recommend that you visit if you are going here. The best thing about the hotel is also their very nice breakfast in the nice environment that is there. Also, they offered the best parking for the motorcycle in their backyard and with secure storage where the gate was closed for the nights. The staff was very nice and with the best possible service you can imagine.

    Booked the hotel for a 1night pre business trip and was a bit weird. Upon checkin I had to come in through the back of the hotel as main entrance doors broke. The girl on reception was a bit rude. No hello no smile just a “sign”. Was given room key with room number on and that was it. Not even told where to find my room. I found my own way. I had booked a double room and when entering the room it was seriously small. The room had no heating and wooden floor so went to bed wrapped up in extra jumper I had in my suitcase. The bed was a double but as 1person in the room it had a very small single quilt in the middle of the bed. If u rolled over u had no cover. You also only got 1 very thin pillow that ur head was actually on the mattress. Have to say the best bit of the hotel was the evening serving in the restaurant. The evening staff was friendly and welcoming. Ordered dinner and didn’t realise how much you would be served. This was great. Unfortunately the breakfast staff are totally opposite. The breakfast waitress was not that bothered I was there and took more notice of the locals. It took for me to finish and go to leave for her to then ask if I wanted tea or coffee. This hotel to me is not worth the star rating given. Sorry no pictures of the bedroom as fingers were so cold to take
