The location is good, and the reception staff is very friendly and professional. If I have the chance to come to Budapest again, I would definitely like to stay here.

Liked · Very professional and friendly staff. Very authentic and esthetic decor. Two different kitchens and even more spaces to socialise or work during the day. Location excellent for the Szeczenyi spa and pretty good for the Keleti station (direct bus just from the front of the hostel) and metro line A (just some 6-8 mins. walk). Disliked · Both bed and mattrace were very old, not flat, I felt a bit like in a hammock :) BEWARE OF THIS: the rooms are either without a window (these are completely quiet at night, unless there would be parties of disrespectful hostel guests), or might be a bit loud at night and lack intimacy (as their windows face a tiny alley between the noisy main street with the night public transport and hostel entrance, whoch guests use not only to come to the hostel , often loud, but there is also a seating area in this alley). I am sure that the professional and friendly staff ensures there are no loud parties at night at this alley, also as the property neighbors with flats, but they can do nothing with loud returns of hotel guests from night parties as well as with parties in the co-working areas unless you would complain, as the reception is at the entrance door way too far from the main co-work area-

I originally booked a private room for a week during a business trip, but ended up staying a month. The place is in a great location, the rooms are comfortable and live up to the value for your money. The staff is courteous and helpful. The manager Karsci is a very articulate and interesting person to talk with, and supervisor Anita is a walking honey pot, the sweetest lady I met in Budapest during my stay. Also had great chats and laughs with Raj and Federico from reception. You want to complain all day even if things are perfect, go to the Ritz Carlton for 1000 euros a night... You want to just live a happy stay with modest but comfortable accommodation and great location, come to Baroque Hostel!!!

This is probably the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in! There was an outdoor seating area for you to enjoy the summer evenings and several kitchen/dining areas all of which were available for use by everyone regardless of where in the hostel you were. The place had an Alice in Wonderland feel with several doors to different sections being disguised as wall mirrors which is a touch I personally enjoyed. The hostel itself is not very centrally located however there is a metro station less than a 10 minute walk from the hostel which will have you in the centre in less than 10 minutes! My only complaint about the room is there were no mirrors physically in the twin room we stayed in so drying and styling hair etc was a bit of a challenge. Overall, a budget friendly place to stay for a sightseeing trip!

Great style of this place make me fancy and happy. Object are big and clean. Service very nice. Good place arround the best park in Budapest, great for sport , children and chill. 500m from hostel is located restaurant Muskátli Étkezde with Hungarians food, when they open at 11, the local people stand in a 15 person queue.

The hostel has a great location, right on the edge of City Park with easy access to public transport. However, the accommodation was not so good. Upon arrival we were charged City Tax, despite already paying this during booking which was visible on the receipt. The hostel has lots of kitchen spaces which were clean, but the toilet/shower areas were dirty and inadequate. I had a private double room which had broken bed panels on both beds. The hostel was extremely noisy at night and we had to complain on 2 occasions, eventually buying ear plugs the next day. To top it off, they charged us to leave our suitcase for 40minutes as we were leaving.

We had a lovely stay at the Baroque hostel. Staff were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. The city is beautiful, lovely architecture and history throughout the city.

This property is very unique and it feels somewhat like a house. It attracts interesting people. That being said, I could hear voices right outside my room, even snoring from the room next to me. The bed was somewhat hard and the pillow somewhat flat. However, the price was great. There were pros and cons of staying here.

Clean room and comfortable beds, lots of bathrooms and relaxation areas available. I didn't like the breakfast at all but otherwise it was pleasant.
