Best location; walkable from train station, bus or walk to city centre, surrounded by eateries on Mill Road. We had small twin room on ground floor as requested. Perfectly clean and beds very comfortable and cosy. TV and kettle, all you need for small amount of time spent in the room. Will stay again, value for money !! Recommended

We had to came in midnight and asked for instruction for late checkin. We didn’t get reply on email. I called before the plane and the owner promised to send them to us, but we never got them. I wrote before the flight and asked one more time to send the instruction by text message. Arriving at midnight at Stansted, we received nothing. Our relatives from England also called her without any help. The result is I am with a child at night without any place to stay. I had to pay terrific amount of money for a hotel and taxi and in two days they charged me for the service I never got! And all the communication was that it’s my fault! They just stole my money and I got a big stress. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone to repeat my experience.

Had to cancel reservation for emergency cardiac bypass. They charged my credit card 6 weeks before arrival & when I told them of my medical emergency, 30 days prior to arrival, would not refund any portion of total cost of my stay. With 30 days notice, they could have easily rebooked the room. Not sure why they feel it's necessary to be so grasping and unsympathetic.
Response from Property: "...if you only knew how many funerals, health issues, and other excuses we receive, we often find it difficult to know whom to believe in the end." That is why we to everyone we suggest we advise you to consider taking out insurance to cover the cost of cancellation...

I booked the triple room as we needed somewhere to stay overnight with our son. We didn’t get to see the staff as we arrived late and there was a key left for us in a secure box by the front door. This place deserves a five star review. It is not luxurious but it is lovely and clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

This place is in a great location, the clean and comfortable, attractive, and reasonably priced. The proprietress is friendly and helpful, and frantically busy keeping the house clean and orderly. Hell, yes, I'd stay there again. My only negative comment is the size of the bathroom. It's hard to use the sink or toilet with the door closed, on the room that I had. For one person as I was, no big deal. If two people stay in that room , you need to be very comfortable with each other! Nevertheless, I very much enjoyed my stay. It was the cleanest place I've stayed at on my four week trip.

The room was beautiful and so comfortable, with lovely decor. Inga was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They also sorted helped me sort out a mistake I'd made in my booking with a lot of patience. Thank you!

What an amazing place! The room is cozy and super clean, the bed is so comfortable and the view is beautiful! The hosts are super sweet, helpful and lovely people. It is near to the centre and you have access to the most important things…train station, bus station and many shops for whatever you need! Just book it! 💪🏼🤘🏻🔥

No bells or whistles. Just simple, immaculate, pleasant, and peaceful. Shower has GREAT water pressure. And Inge is sweet and lovely. Her goodness permeates the place. A & B gets A plus. My highest recommendation.

Great bolthole for a weekend! Stayed here with a friend, we booked last minute but were delighted. Very friendly owner, it’s not huge but makes great use of space. Our rooms were plenty spacious and comfortable and we had our own bathrooms which were clean and bright. Would absolutely recommend - short walk from station and short walk from Mill Road which has coffee and food options.

Arrived just before check-in time of 3.30 to find the front door locked with no signs of anyone around. After I made a phone call I was given the key code to retrieve the front door key. Once inside, the room key was in an envelope on the front desk. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Next morning went down to breakfast to find once again no staff members and what I can only assume was the breakfast room door locked. No explanation as to why breakfast wasn’t being offered. So the room key was left where a note on the desk advised and we left. Whilst there is no complaint regarding the room, I have never stayed anywhere where you never see a staff member! Also, the website promotes a beautiful breakfast room that is clearly not in use; to have advanced warning that breakfast was not being offered when booking would have been appreciated!

The most convenient location for walking into the city, and close to the railway station. The rooms were very impressively dressed, and lovely and warm, on a very cold December weekend. Irina, the host, was super friendly, and extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Cambridge. Unfortunately, due to staff issues, we could not have breakfast, but cafe across the road provided bacon baps! Thank you Irina 😊

We had just 1 night at A&B. The room was small but very clean as was all the place. The location is about a mile from central but as walkers we were happy with that. We liked The Salisbury pub just up the road. Breakfast was not included but we liked Hot Numbers Coffee (in Dale's brewery) a small walk away. The hostess, Inga, was most enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. It felt a bit pricey for no breakfast, basic accommodation but I think it is competitive for Cambridge. We enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the cleanliness, friendly staff and we .iked the location with some parking.

We stayed at A & B Guest House in Cambridge whilst spending a few days exploring the city and surrounding area. On arrival, we were a little early for checking in but the owner allowed us to park my car in their small car park so we could have a wander into the city centre, which is only a 20 minute walk away. Once back at the guest house, we were pleasantly welcomed and checked in. Our room was small and on the top floor but it was sufficient for wwhat we needed, double bed, TV and shower etc. The whole place was very clean and looked like it had been fairly recently decorated. Unfortunately due to C-19 limitations the tea.coffee in the room could not be provided. There are plenty of places locally for breakfast though, as well as restaurants for evening meals. Parking on the premises is very limited with space only for two cars, three at a push. A charge of £10/day is applied but this is far cheaper than parking in one of the city car parks. The train station is only a five minute walk from the guest house, which may be easier for some. I would recommend a stay at A & B Guest House if you are visiting the city centre.

My friend and I stayed here recently on a trip round the UK and absolutely loved our time in Cambridge and stay at the Guesthouse. Inga, the owner, was so accommodating and friendly, thrilled by every new guest and so interested in speaking with us. The room was a little small for a twin bed, but we were carrying an extraordinary amount of luggage, which didn't help, and the place is so well positioned and relaxed that, for the price we paid, it's exceptional value for money. We'd recommend the Guesthouse to anyone visiting Cambridge. It's easy walking distance from the centre of town (about 10 minutes) but is far enough away to avoid the drone of traffic. Mill Road, a few minutes away, is also home to a lot of cafes and bars to enjoy. To be honest though, and has been mentioned by the reviews here already, the Guesthouse is most memorable for the warm reception given by Inga and Irma, who make this place more like a home than a hotel.

Quite a simple but super clean modern B&B. Clearly very loved and Inga was so polite and professional with a personal touch and help when needed. The whole B&B is very quiet and I really felt relaxed being there. The bedding and bed was sooo comfortable it was heaven. Only 5 mins from the station and 15 mins (nice walk) from the city centre. Good value and I would recommend to others.
