Very good, must book in advance , the service is also good. The booked cruise ticket was 5 euros more expensive than in the store, so it was 10 yuan for the two of us. It is recommended to go directly to the pier to book. There are many boats to choose from.

The room is relatively new and clean. There are washing machines, dishwashers, and kitchens inside, so you can cook your own food, which is very cost-effective. It's just a bit far from the beach, you can't do it without a car, and it's not convenient to buy things around

As a headline, although it markets itself as a 5-star property, I'd say this is a 4+ star resort, as it lacks a few of the amenities you'd expect of a "true" 5-star hotel/resort as explained below. Having said that, we got a great out-of-season rate, so am reviewing according to the good value we felt we got for the price paid and how quiet the resort generally was during our stay. We might have been less forgiving of the various small issues if we'd paid peak rates. We did a lot of research to find a place that would suit our needs, primarily a quality, kid friendly resort with proper self-catering facilities in each room, but also a restaurant so we could have a break from cooking - there aren't that many places like this! The resort: We stayed in one of the duplex townhouses towards the far end of the resort - about a 5 minute walk to the main building (though it takes a lot longer with small kids!) - a peaceful location away from the slightly busier road at the top of the resort. We had a great sea view from the upper floor, which was a welcome bonus. The one drawback of being at the far edge of the resort is that housekeeping always visited that part of the resort towards the end of every day - so we often got back in the mid-late afternoon from a busy day out with young kids, only to find that housekeeping hadn't been in yet, or were in the villa trying to clean just when we needed to get the kids back in and fed. Generally the resort is pretty, quiet and feels calm and restful to be in. There are lovely gardens around all the buildings, and these were in the process of being re-planted and landscaped while we were there. Some parts of the buildings and outdoor areas are showing a lot of wear and tear and really need basic repairs (e.g. there are a lot of broken outdoor light posts in the flowerbeds along the paths, many with exposed wires - a bit concerning these hadn't been spotted and fixed). A lot of the wooden flooring and fences (e.g. on the bridges over the pool and in the playground) desperately needs to be stripped and re-varnished - it is crumbling away in the weather, and doesn't look very well-maintained. Perhaps they are working through the maintenance tasks in the off-season ahead of the summer rush, but it did give a slightly unkempt vibe. The main pool area is very pretty with a range of different zones including a shallow kids' pool. As it's unheated, the pool wasn't warm enough to swim in during our stay (except for the swarm of seagulls that swooped in and took a bath most afternoons!), but we could see how lovely it would be in warmer weather - although I suppose competition for sun loungers and shade would be an issue if the hotel were busy. There are a few smaller pools behind some of the townhouse blocks, and these looked nice but are also unheated and so were too cold to swim in. The indoor pool was the right temperature and big enough for our kids (learning to swim and not confident in the water) to

Large low rise resort with pretty gardens. We stayed in a 2 bed luxury townhouse, which had 2 bedrooms upstairs, large lounge / kitchen / diner. Double sofa bed in lounge for our teenager. We stayed on B&B basis, usually eating out for lunch and having dinner in the townhouse. Good selection at breakfast although repetitive options. You can request an freshly cooked omelette which we only discovered on last day! Outdoor pools great but not heated in April so very chilly! Indoor pool heated, kids had great time. We liked the sauna & steam room (adults only), and hot tubs next to the indoor pool. Beautiful sunsets from the balconies and downstairs patio. All in all a great base for exploring the area, loved the coastal walks and beach caves.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves… taken in villa 110. Is this a 5 star villa resort ??? It is not that you pay for a 5 star villa, you will actually get what you pay for. I have a video that shows the pictures are genuine. Friendly people at the reception though… but the management did not care at all.

We had 3 nights in a townhouse over half term. Such a great place for a family break, we loved the indoor pool and sauna, very family friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice, fresh fruit and good coffee. Lovely staff working really hard. We loved exploring the town and beautiful coastline.

Absolutely loved every minute of our stay. Perfect place for a family vacation , spotless facilities, lovely staff , nice food and great bar. Good location, a little walk to the town but very cheap taxis / Ubers available too and from.

Context - 12 night stay, family with 2 young teenagers in August We stayed in Villa 100, a 'luxury 2 bed townhouse' Accomodation: Great accomodation, some maintenance required, but not important. The accomodation was spacious, clean, beds were really comfortable, showers were great, loads of kitchen storage, sofas really comfortable, effective air com, kitchen with 4 burner hob, ovem, microwave, toaster, cofferr machine, washing machine and dryer. 5 star comfort, and nearly 5 star appearance (just a few maintenence piece needed ie chips in kitchen cupbaords, locks of bathrooms not aligned etc) Outside the accomodation we had 2 loungers, 4 would have been better, a table with 4 chairs with a few of a small pool. The pool near our villa was excellent. We generally were able to get this to ourselves at some points in the day, and there were always loungers available. This isn't the main pool. The main pool is a couple of minutes walk from the villa, and again excellent. it was quiet, but still an atmosphere, no problem getting loungers. On one day we had to hunt down an umbrella. There is also an indoor pool, that opens out to a terrace. Didn't think we'd use it, but it was really nice, and we used that as well. Useful when it's windy and the outdoor pool got chilly. The spa was good. My wife had a treatment that she said was very good. there was a steam room and sauna, both good, a small gym (didn't use). Jacuzzi was open, but didn't seem to work ie no bubbles! Outdoor pool bar was closed for refurb, but an indoor alternative was available. Restaurant was probably the biggest disappointment. We were self catering, used it once, and didn't return. The food was ok, but comparing it to the external restaurants we ate at, was nowhere near as good and significantly more expensive. Service in the restaurant was more comparable to a 3 star hotel. What was particularly disappointing was that 'portuguese' night was just a subset of the standard A la carte menu. Housekeeping were variable, ranging from spectacular to average! Some days they even unloaded our dishwasher which was a lovely touch. Other days they took away hand towels and didn't replace them. Resort did not have much to do for teenagers, other than making their own entertainment in the pool, but for us that was fine. Overall, a hotel is pleasant, lovely pool areas and accommodation is extremely comfortable but let down by the restaurant. Outside of the resort, in Carvoeiro we ate at 'Elliots' in the centre, and 'Recanto da Boavista' (2 minute walk from the hotel). Both of these restaurants were excellent, and catered well for my son who has a milk allergy. The other place we went to in Carvoeiro was Sandoskas. Again really good, but more cheap and cheerful. Whilst their bread contains milk, their baguettes don't, so hot dogs with baguette is a milk free option! The ice cream shop opposite also does a good range of vegan ice creams. Supermarkets are plen

We had a positive experience staying at Monte Santo resort. Upon arrival, we had a few issues of flooding in our room, but this was quickly resolved by the team. The hotel is in the ideal location close to all nearby attractions such as carveiro beach, portimoe and the benagil caves. The cleaners did a great job every day of tidying our room and replacing our towels. The room consisted of two bedrooms two bathrooms, living area and kitchen with a fridge. Freezer oven microwave hob dishwasher and washing machine. We booked this resort due to the indoor heated swimming pool, however the swimming pool was a very cool temperature and did not heat up. One Jacuzzi was out of order and the other one was not very hot or bubbly. The spa on site was very good, but quite expensive. The restaurant Had a great variety of breakfast and was never too busy, however, the evening food menu was not that great. Paulo and Jose were very helpful and I would also like to mention Claudia from the kids club as she was amazing and offered fantastic activities for the children. The tv channels need updating and there is a lovely area with frogs and turtles near the love lock bridge. It would be great if the hotel offered a shuttle service to the nearby beach, all year round, and they had another restaurant and more variety of food. It was also quite disappointing that the pool bar was closed and it would be great to sell some snacks on site. We ordered room service from the aroma restaurant, and the presentation was great, but most nights we ordered takeaway or visited different restaurants close by . Conclusion, this is a great 3/4 star hotel resort, Some slight refurbishment is needed, but overall good for a short family stay and a very scenic hotel with lovely views and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend and visit here again.

Poor poor poor! It’s not a 5 star at any level! Had to move rooms twice as no heating. No real apology and it’s really not that clean, stains down all the kitchen units and stinking washing machine’s and dishwasher was rusty! Would not go back ………………

The 2 bedroom unit was well laid out. The cleaning staff were excellent. Great Pool and reasonably good gym. About a 20 min walk (5 min drive) to the seaside town of Carvoeiro where a number of good restaurants are located

Originally booked for 5 days but our flight going out got cancelled so we went out a day early and had to book an extra night at this resort. it was a large extra cost but was so worth it. the extra night we had a town house which was really nice, clean and spacious. the rest of the stay was in a suite in the main building which was also nice, clean and spacious. the staff were very good in getting us to and from our apartments and were fully aware of the situation etc and everything was very smooth. the staff were lovely especially Marianna (receptionist) and Jose. I was there for my birthday and received a cake and bottle of champaine which was a lovely surprise and gesture. the breakfast and food at dinner were both tasty. We enjoyed a quick game of pool in the games room. the outside pool area looked nice but due to the weather was not able to sample it. Not much local to the area but taxis are cheap and came in good time. walk to the beach is about 15 mins which was down hill and a pleasant walk. would definately recommend and visit again but when in season as not much to do when out of season. A lovely few days away
