Hapimag Resort Cavallino

It is always relaxing to stay in Cavallino; the structure is a certainty because it allows you to reach Venice from Punta Sabbioni, take pleasant walks on the beach and walk in the Lio Piccolo lagoon.

The architecture of this resort is strongly reminiscent of the Bauhaus style in Germany. “Form follows function”! The function is very important. All a matter of taste, of course! Definitely very solid and valuable. Nevertheless, we were dissatisfied because we had booked a premium room to have a nice view of the dunes. Unfortunately, the view was more like a big city. Otherwise the facilities are perfect, the pool is clean and warm but heavily regulated. The restaurant is good but expensive for the quality by German standards.

We stayed at the Hapimag Cavallino for a week and booked a budget room for wheelchair users as nothing else was available. We were very satisfied with this room category, because we had a huge apartment with lots of space, countless storage options and a huge balcony. As always with Hapimag, the kitchen and the entire apartment were well equipped and nothing was missing. Only the Segafredo coffee machines are catastrophic and so the machine had to be replaced twice during our stay. Here the hotel management should consider a change to Nespresso, as usual. The room was in the main building, which was very practical due to the direct connection to the underground car park. The underground car park is huge, but it was almost completely full during our stay. There are a few parking spaces with an electric charging station, but 70 cents/kwH with parking fees of 7 euros per night is a total cheek, which is why I didn't use them. The service at the reception, at the caretaker and in the supermarket were great, the service in the restaurant was rather bad. We had dinner twice in the hotel's restaurant, unfortunately I have to say it was the most expensive and worst meal we had during the week. There are many restaurants within a few minutes walk or drive that are considerably cheaper, offer more choice and better quality. For breakfast we bought rolls in the hotel's small supermarket. There is everything you need there, but otherwise there is also a large supermarket just a few minutes' walk away, which offers even more choice. The hotel's pool and children's pool are nice and adequate, but there weren't enough loungers at lunchtime. Bath towels could be borrowed from reception for a one-time fee of 5 euros and exchanged daily free of charge. The expansive beach is just a few steps away and offers a variety of loungers and umbrellas. Everything looks well-kept, but you have to watch out for the jellyfish in the water and on the beach. Unfortunately, there were no opportunities to shower or rinse your feet on the beach, action is needed here. The animation program was very limited and was limited to two entertainers who did their best within the scope of their possibilities. It is disappointing that there is only a children's disco every two days. Here at least we would have wished for more. All in all, the Hapimag facility is highly recommended and is well suited for a stay with the family.
