Followed the promising reviews and was very disappointed. Spent 4 nights here. Did complain to IHG and got some points. - ROOM CONDITION: Was placed on the 2nd floor in a room facing the back. Window was absolutely filthy, AC did not work well - room felt very damp, toilet paper holder falling off, spot on sheets on bed - SECURITY: someone's car was stolen from the lot the night of June 17th and Charlotte Police were on site the following morning responding. As a result, new sign was placed in parking lot to hide your belongings and lock cars. - OVERNIGHT TRUCK PARKING: the street around the hotel is used 24/7 by tractor trailer drivers who spend the nights in their trucks - also saw them parked in the hotels back yard. Cars were coming and going all night from the tractor trailers. See attached photos - KEY CARDS: Over the course of 4 nights, my key cards had to be reset no less than 5 times. - CHECK-IN: Called to see if there was early check-in and was told there was not (which is totally fine) but was also told there was no early check in anymore because housekeeping is not showing up and then I was hung up on. All the conditions and issues at the hotel seem to be due to management and ownership. I also spent a night at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte Airport (108 Airport Commons Dr, Charlotte, NC) the same week and no issues - great stay.
