"Very conveniently located near the Chithose train station , the hotel will cover the Taxi fare from there which is ¥620. The room is spacious with Japanese standards, plenty of amenities offered at the lobby, the breakfast was brilliant, Very nice fish and salad. Dinner options was also reasonable. The staffs are all super friendly and helpful, the hotel offers free shuttle buses to the airport and train station. We enjoyed the stay very much and will not hesitate to recommend it."

"The location is convenient, ideal for catching early morning flights, but the hotel entrance can be a little complicated due to a lack of signage. The rooms are clean and a suitable size, allowing for large suitcases to be opened. The staff provides excellent service. The breakfast offers a variety of choices and is tasty, and complimentary access to the onsen is included with hotel room reservations."

"Due to a flight cancellation, we changed our original itinerary and arrived in Japan a day early. We chose to stay near the airport for a night. You can reach the hotel from the airport by bus or train; the bus stop is very close to the hotel. There's a 7-Eleven right across the street, and you can also walk straight to Aeon. We booked a quad room, which was very comfortable for three of us. I don't like small rooms, and this hotel offers spacious rooms at a great price. It was really clean and nice. There's also a small park near the hotel, and the treehouse-like structure by the entrance offers free book rentals. It's adorable!"

"The hotel's shuttle service to and from the airport is very convenient. Just note that the shuttle pick-up is at the domestic departures section of the airport, so you might need to look for it a bit. If you're heading to the airport the next day, you'll need to reserve your shuttle spot at the front desk. The hotel itself is quite large, featuring a public bath and a lounge area with massage chairs, manga, and other interesting amenities. They offer a complimentary Ochazuke (rice with tea) late-night snack, which is simple but a welcome, warm meal for tired travelers. The rooms are standard but clean and comfortable. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right across the street from the hotel, which is super handy for buying essentials!"

"The hotel and its rooms are brand new. Although the bed isn't huge, it's perfectly adequate. The upside of a smaller bed is that it frees up more floor space. In a room of the same size, I had more room to walk around and easily fit my 26-inch suitcase without it getting in the way. It was very clean and comfortable, I really liked it. The hotel is conveniently located just a minute's walk from the JR station, and it's also very close to New Chitose Airport, only a 10-15 minute train ride away. There's a bus stop next to the hotel for trips to Lake Shikotsu, and about a 15-minute walk brings you to an Aeon store, which is more like a supermarket than a large department store. Right next door to the hotel is a library called MACHI Library @ Chitose. When I didn't feel like being alone in my room, I'd go there to sit. There were locals, students, mothers, and children – it felt very warm and inviting, and I really enjoyed being among people. The hotel front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are some great eateries in the surrounding neighborhood; just open Google Maps and explore! They're delicious and not overly crowded. The only downside was the price of the coin-operated washing machines. A single wash cost 2-3 times more than at other hotels I stayed at in Sapporo and Asahikawa. The dryer, however, wasn't more expensive than elsewhere. The soundproofing at this hotel is excellent. I didn't hear any noise and was able to sleep soundly even without earplugs. If I visit Chitose again, I would definitely choose this hotel."

"This was my third stay, and I chose this hotel again because my previous two experiences were so good. However, this time was truly unacceptable. We arrived at the hotel around 11 AM. My daughter had injured her leg while skiing, so we asked the middle-aged woman at check-in if we could check in early. She said yes, but we'd have to pay for an additional day – what a rip-off! The funny thing is, they told us we could wait in the lobby until 3 PM without paying. The lobby was nice, so we decided to wait there instead of wasting about 1700 RMB. But then, to our surprise, we saw the staff taking our luggage and other belongings to our room much earlier, while we weren't allowed to enter. Crazy! On top of that, the Wi-Fi signal this time was incredibly poor, almost unusable. Reporting it to the hotel didn't help either; we had to use our own data. So, this stay was truly, truly, truly disappointing! Attached is a photo of my daughter in a wheelchair, and they still wouldn't let us check in early. That middle-aged woman was so inhumane!"

"I chose this hotel because it was a bit closer to the airport for my flight the next day. Most of the hotel staff didn't speak English, and the long-haired girl with glasses at the front desk seemed quite impatient, though another slightly slimmer girl was very nice. Breakfast was a choice between Japanese and Western; it filled me up but wasn't particularly tasty. The complimentary shuttle bus to the airport on the hour from 6-9 AM was a nice touch."

"The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and the hotel is located near the train station in the quieter Chitose area, which made for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided great room service. One of the biggest highlights was the convenient airport transportation, especially a huge relief when we had to manage our suitcases in the snow. There is also a shopping mall near the hotel, along with a large shoe plaza offering many options at reasonable prices. The staff there were incredibly kind and provided excellent service, making the experience even more enjoyable."

"Out of the three onsen hotels I stayed at in Lake Shikotsu, Suizantei, which is popular online and hard to book, was actually quite average with no scenic views from its onsen. Then there was the extremely overpriced Aigashiro, which was even worse – no service, no ambiance. Marukoma was my last stay and also the cheapest. Reviews online were mixed, but seeing it was a century-old onsen, I wanted to give it a try. Turns out, it was the only one of the three worth visiting. First, the onsen views are the best because of its elevated location. I wouldn't recommend the wild onsen as it's unmaintained and the water is very cold. However, the outdoor public onsen truly offers fantastic views and a great panorama. And the view from the public cafe is incredibly comfortable; just sitting there and daydreaming is a pure delight! The rooms are just for sleeping, small, and without a view, but the previous two hotels weren't any better. Dinner, I think, was decent for the price! The ingredients seemed fresh, and it wasn't as bad as some online reviews claimed! Overall, Lake Shikotsu is worth visiting, and Marukoma is worth experiencing! It's an old brand, and the service is quite good! When we checked in, we casually mentioned needing a taxi the next day, and at breakfast, a staff member came to ask if we needed help calling one! That was really heartwarming! No discrimination whatsoever! The private paid onsen is also good! It's not expensive and I recommend trying it out."
