Breakfast is simpler and coffee is good. The location is close to the Vatican and the security is good! Castle-style room for those who have a dream of living in a European castle. The service is quite good. The taxi that the hotel helped to call quickly was very formal. Come to Rome for a hotel to choose from!

Great hotel, not far from the train station. We are walking to the Colosseum. In fact, many attractions are within walking distance. The hotel's internal facilities are very good. The suite we booked is very new, free minibar, with lots of small snacks and drinks. The breakfast was great too, and there was a very good ice cream shop in the area near the hotel, which was impressive.

Booking was easy, I ended up needing a few changes n they always responded promptly. Upon arrival we were greeted n treated like vip. The room was amazing! Just what we needed to relax and accommodate my last minute w/c need. We always had the refrigerator full of waters after a long day site seeing. Breakfast was spectacular, such a variety, something for everyone! On the last leg of our trip I got sick (not covid) and needed to go to hospital. Amelio was amazing, compassionate and so helpful! He, instead of giving direction to hospital, sent us back to our room and had the doctor come to the room! The doctor was so kind and took care of my needs immediately. I can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel! We will definitely be returning for our next European adventure since this one didn’t go quite as planned. I wish I could give more that 5 stars as they deserve it!

Where I stay when traveling is as important to me as where I am going. That is the difference between being a tourist and a traveler. When I travel, I search out family run bed & breakfasts and or small boutique hotels. Why? The people. People make the difference. On this trip to Rome, I was traveling with my father. I was looking for a small boutique hotel in a quiet location but a location from which all of Rome is easily accessible by walking. I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect property than Hotel Monte Cenci. Located on the Via Beatrice Cenci, a quiet location just one block from the Tiber River, and surrounded by gorgeous buildings with window boxes spilling over with geraniums, the Hotel Monte Cenci is a livable work of art. Designed in a historic palazzo this 30-room hotel feels more like a stay in a beautiful private home. Entering from Via Beatrice notice the two story marble lobby flanked by book cases which run the length of the lobby behind the reception desk. You will be greeted as though you are a long friend coming home for a visit. At the south end of the lobby is a magnificent 2 story window that allows light from the lobby to flood into the hotel bar. Just a few steps down from the lobby is a reception room and access to either the elevator to your room or use the stairs. We utilized the stairs. The bedrooms are generous in size with plush bedding, gorgeous ensuite bathrooms (some bathrooms have marble sink tops from historic hotel in Rome), casement triple glazed windows with views onto the surrounding buildings and streets in this quiet enclave. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the rooftop terrace. In the afternoon the terrace with its lush plantings and awnings is a great place to escape for a quick nap or down time reading a book-also great in the evenings for a glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz. The location is perfect. Every attraction is walkable and the best way, and only way in my opinion, to see Rome is to walk. Rome is an open-air museum full of art and architecture and history. Stroll down streets, take the alley way, follow the delicious scents, and discover a small neighborhood osteria or bar. Shop the shops away from the large tourist attractions. Discover a fountain in a piazza and take the time to see Rome, truly see Rome. The beauty of staying in a small boutique hotel is that the people at the hotel will also share with you their favorite places to eat, shop, sip and walk and share historical tidbits. I cannot find the words to express how wonderful the people at the Hotel Monte Cenci are. They are kind, informative, helpful, funny, welcoming and feel like family. Whether first thing in the morning or late in the evening I looked forward to every interaction with all members of the staff. They make you feel as though you are a family member visiting. It is the most satisfying hotel in my European travel for more than ten days. The decoration is very delicate and the breakfast is very delicate! I like it very much, shopping is very convenient, and all the snacks and drinks in the mini bar will not be charged extra.

I went to this property for two nights, the hotel looks quite old. And with many things in the room rough bathroom door broken, dirty walls, worn light switches, worst of all the noise in the rooms, with no control from the group staff of Chinese and Germans laughing and cackling in the stairs and corridors at the 5 in the morning… I gave a rating of 3 only because the restaurant offers good and well prepared traditional Roman dishes, excellent friendliness of the dining room staff for dinner.

The Maalot is a total standout gem and my favorite hotel in Rome. Everything is impeccable, from the central location right by the Trevi fountain (which I love passing by and saying hello to every time I leave and return to the hotel!) to the gorgeous rooms with unparalleled design, and the outstanding hospitality where every team member truly goes above and beyond. Housekeeping was prompt, thoughtful, and seamless. Breakfast is a beautiful and attentive affair - and the F&B manager is so delightful and clearly has such passion for her work! It was a joy meeting every member of this incredible place, which feels more like a 2nd home to me than a ”hotel”. I love interior decor and design and so fully appreciate their decor which is beautiful and tasteful - modern with a nod to classic Italian styles. But what is truly unbeatable is the people - the entire team is so wonderful and helpful. I truly felt so taken care of and had an incredible seamless experience. I have been to Rome 5 times, and this was my 2nd stay at Maalot because they left such an impression the 1st time - and after this 2nd amazing return stay, they have sealed the deal and I will not be going anywhere else. They also wow'd my partner who I was so excited to introduce to the Maalot this time. I travel globally often and this is a very unique place. Of all the places we stayed all over Italy, this was #1. Special shout out and big thanks to Jonida the manager for taking extra good care of me - including an unexpected knockout deluxe room set aside for me, and snagging coveted sold out tickets to the Borghese Gallery! I can't wait to return again.

Before we went to the hotel as the first commentator, we were also worried about the hotel's good or bad. Because there were no commentators, it was a new hotel for several months. The room was still available for small suites and 2 bathrooms. A total of 30 square meters in one bedroom, I have never been to Rome before, and I don’t know what other hotels are like, so I can’t compare them. The hotel lobby is basically the same as no, but it does not affect the room. It is close to the wishing pool of 500 meters. Also prosperous

Great hotel, take the bread coffee shop from the back door of the train station, and the corner of the first street across the road is on the right hand side, 5 minutes away. The shop is beautiful and tidy and full of art. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the sightseeing bus stop.
