Manta Ray Bay Resort

An excellent place to stay, and great snorkeling services. Loved the meals. Room was tidy and well maintained. Pool was perfect.

Hotel offers everything needed, staff is super-friendly, diving crew is well organized and helpful. We were there at Yap day - a unique possibility to get to know some of the old culture, very relaxing

A beautiful resort made wonderful by the staff. This is a small island and this resort is unique with a great dive staff and facility. Weather unfortunately wasn’t the best our week we were there, but we would definitely go back and are planning to do so. The diving was amazing irregardless of the weather.

After long days visiting family in the village, it was nice to return to a cold beer and cool room. We were able to recharge with a good night sleep and head out new adventures every morning. Great staff and even better accommodations!! Thank you Manta Ray for a great stay

This is my second time here and I will be coming again. The first time I came was for fun and the second time for work (with some fun!). The staff is unparallelled and they work to do their best to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms are comfortable and all the amenities are thought out. As this trip was mainly focused on work reliable internet was a must and they delivered. I had issues one morning and I reported it, they had it fixed post haste! I had very limited off time this trip but they worked with me to get a few dives in. Highly recommend for ALL THE THINGS!

The hotel is probably the only one in Yap worth staying besides the O’keefe next door so no real choice. The service was very nice and friendly and helpful. But there were cockroaches, there was no tea kettle or coffee maker or sugar,tea,coffee till we asked for it. But the rooms were big and comfortable otherwise specially for divers as there is lots of dive stuff lying around. Also this place Yap is only for diving as there’s no other real activity besides walking in the woody forest. The dive centre is v good. Friendly and v helpful staff specially Frank, Bruce and Francis who made our diving a pleasant experience.

What a WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY!! THE ENTIRE STAFF KNOWS YOUR NAME! It is so heartwarming. Everyone does their best to make sure you have the best stay. The rooms were comfortable and the food was very good, tasty bacon for breakfast, fresh fish choices and they also have brown bread. .The staff acknowledges that we have come far and I felt appreciation for my journey by the locals. Everyone is so kind and lovely...The diving is unique as the Mantas are really the show here along with the Mandarin Fish. I loved meeting the people and learning about the culture. Go on the local tour, it was the highlight for me to learn about the Yap Money Culture and learn about traditional customs. This hotel offers everything various other activities as well

The service was excellent...the staff went over and above to make sure we were taken care of and comfortable! The rooms and hotel areas were exceptionally clean and maintained...highly recommend!!!! Thank you Manta Ray Resort!

We had an absolutely lovely time at Manta Ray Bay Resort in Yap! The staff is attentive and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic! Try the banana bread! We even got a chance to dive with the owner Bill Acker a couple of days! It's not "if" you will see a Manta here, but how many you will see. The rooms are large and clean! We opted for the sea view rooms with lovely, large balconies. If available, I highly suggest room 106 or 107 that have private plunge pools! Their restaurant, MNUW ( an Indonesian Phinisi) has a great bar on the top deck with a really good selection of dishes. We were just there for diving, and did not have the time for land tours but heard from other guests that they really enjoyed the tours that they experienced. Highly suggest! Very professional dive center! Boats were very nice, clean and well serviced. Dive guides were great! If you do a three dive trip, as we did every day, they pack a lunch for you that you choose the night before.Also, you can not beat the hot washcloths between dives along with their famous banana bread, hot tea and cold water! Luxury!!
