We booked direct online with the hotel, I asked for a deal or package, Dining in the evening, room +breakfast. We were answered fast and professional. At the reception we were really welcomed , friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was lovely was clean, lovely decorated , had a little balcony , spacious bathroom and a pleasant temperature, to be regulated by the guests. Very old , lovely hotel which oozes character! The staff is friendly and polite, also very helpful. The restaurant in the evening was so lovely, very good service from the young waiter, the food was delicious, maybe a little minimalistic, but packed with flavours. We enjoyed breakfast, this was brilliantly laid out on personal trays!! the day before every guest chooses the breakfast the require and the next day, all is served on a wooded tray. Lovely done while covid is still around. There were a few little hiccups , such as the shower was too weak, not a lot of water came out, the Wc seat a bit loose..but these are just a maintenance problem and these can be mended fast. we will be back for sure !

Two parts to this review: the hotel and the restaurant. The hotel is location is central, and the ambience charming. The receptionist welcomed us warmly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is also steps away from a launderette if you need one. The bathtub felt a bit unsafe (this is the only time I've every written this). The surface was very slippery and needed something to increase the friction. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the restaurant. The hotel touts it as a special gastronomical experience. I received a text the day before our arrival telling us that we should make a reservation, or we would miss this experience. Sadly, making a reservation wasn't worth the effort. The menu looked interesting enough. Our first course of quail pate with pepper jam was delicious. Things went downhill with our mains. I had crispy squid with pepper jam and zucchini that arrived cold, except for the zucchini. My husband's pork cheeks were also cold. We sent the plates back to the kitchen. The food was tepid this time (and cold zucchini). It was a crushing disappoin**ent. Our server was extremely pleasant and tried to be helpful. He comped us for the dessert we ordered. The hotel should close its restaurant until they have someone who is up to the task of managing the kitchen properly. Please stop advertising as a Michelin-starred restaurant. It sets expectations high, and rightly so.

They make advertising with a Michelin chef. Never ate so bad in my life. Also, the rooms are, thanks to the street and thanks to the air-conditioning very loud. So you probably can't sleep without earplugs. You can better spend your money elsewhere

We booked a weekend with food from a Michelin star restaurant with weekendesk. This was a complete disaster. they offer packages at a much too expensive price. It is cheaper if you book directly at the hotel. Also we have never eaten so bad and my husband was even sick afterwards. After we complained, the Customer service said that they spoke to the hotel and that we got what we booked. What a lie. I made pictures from everything. Even the cheaper prices so I could proof that we overpaid by 200€. They didn’t care what our opinion was. They even ask me if I know what good food is! BTW we visited many Michelin restaurants before and I am a chef myself! Also they delete my reviews on their homepage. That means they only publish the good reviews. The hotel itself looks very romantic. We had a room to the street. If we haven’t had brought our earplugs we couldn’t have slept. Very loud noises from the street and the heading in the room was very loud when it wasn’t turned on. We couldn’t close the bathroom door, so privacy on the toilet wasn’t really possible.

We left this Hotel this morning after one night. The shower was a mess the toilet seat was hanging off we had to be moved to another room at 2.00am in the morning as the fan above our room was so noisy it kept us awake. To top it all we had no water to wash or brush our teeth or even flush the toilet. When we told the Hotel all they could say was sorry. When we went outside the Hotel they were working and had turned the water off. So when we booked the room they knew the water was going to be off but they still let us book. They were not sorry at all they just wanted our money..

Booked a 5 night stay based on Web site and reviews. Left after one night of absolutely no sleep! Lovely, historic hotel in a good central location. Lots of interest in all the rooms... However, the antiquated heating system was the main issue here, even when off it made a continual and sleep defeating noise! In addition, our room faced the road and this started to get noisy very early. Our bathroom had a broken loo seat and we couldn't use the shower as the shower screen was useless. To use it would have flooded the room. The bath was tiny and not really fit for purpose. So, we paid the thick end of £100 for a very poor night. We were lucky to be out of season and managed to get a lovely room at the El Molino! Happy to recommend that hotel!
