Fairfield Inn & Suites Emporia I-95 Reviews

Staff seemed annoyed at check-in. Hotel smelled like smoke. Room was okay, but I would not stay here again.

For a Fairfield Inn, it was definitely outdated. Front desk was not very pleasant at check in. Breakfast was just ok. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, two types of bagels and an English muffin. No fruit or pastries. When checking out, I went to the main ice machine to fill up my thermos and there was no ice. I tried running for several minutes but no ice ever came out.

TV didn't work but we didn't feel like going down to the desk to report it. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Clean and quiet. Excellent hot breakfast with lots of choices.

We needed a stopover between South Carolina and New Jersey. This hotel had the best rate for the stopover point of emporia. The hotel is dated. The staff was great. Only 2 towels, no spares in the room. Heating/AC unit was not easy to make the room comfy. The towel rack was coming off of its wall moorings

Configuration of breakfast area is very awkward. Could be made easier for guests to get their food or juice. Only easy access was coffee area which was separate.

Nicely located near the interstate highway. Breakfast good. Room spacious and lots of electrical outlets.

I was charged 2 times for stay. Hotels charged me and the Emporia, GA charged me another $111.55 on 2/21. I’m attempting to get in with Fairfield Inn. & Suites but if Hotels can reach them, I would appreciate it. First room we were assigned to had a broken lock. Second room the heat was blowing cold air. The toilet water ran constantly. Breakfast was fine and the woman who was working the breakfast was lovely!

Several problems…. Had to go all the way to 3rd floor for ice and I was on first floor. The elevator was broken!! Shampoo dispenser in shower was empty!! To top all this off, at checkin I was asked for a $20 CASH deposit with no explanation as to why except “it’s our policy for incidental damages”. I have stayed often at Marriott Hotels and NEVER been treated to a stay such as this!! Oh yea, in addition to all this, one of the beds gave the feeling that I was falling off because it was obviously too well used. I know Marriott is genuinely much better than this and our Envoy Card is used often, but I felt you had to know, for what it’s worth.

Neg: Indoor pool was tiny w. skimpy towels, no change room or showers. Hot tub out of order Pos: We were warmly greeted in the morning by ther lady who prepared/served the most excellent and varied breakfast w. fresh fruit salad, perfectly cooked oatmeal with many add-ons (walnuts, blue berries, etc.), eggs, breads, juices, etc. etc. What a great way to start a day.

Biggest problem we had was finding the hotel. Need to use the address for gps not just the name of the hotel, both google maps and Apple Maps don’t know exaxtly where it is. Otherwise room was comfortable, quiet, breakfast was ok.

We enjoy the Fairfield chain of hotels on our travels. The one in Emporia was a little more “worn” than others. It was still comfy, quiet, clean, & had all the amenities listed. The temp was 79 when we entered our room & we used AC & fan to cool it down. Breakfast was continental and varied except no pastries…not a dealbreaker. Our car, loaded for FL, was safe overnight. (The last person there left the alarm set for midnight…so don’t forget to check the alarm before you go to bed!)

Everything was wonderfully clean. The room was well appointed. Breakfast was great.

No hand soap on counter, just in the tub area. Heating system did not work properly. Check in clerk didn't care about our request for soap and he was not dress to impress. Was not sure if he was an employee.

Front Desk host was super helpful! My boyfriend and I drove in later then our scheduled check in time, showed up around 4am-5am. The host lets us have a later check out time so we could sleep, loved that!
