"Parking- the hotel has no parking. If you use their code, given at check in, the parking is reduced from about £40 per day to £10 per day. Room - Queen Room: Facilities were good, the room was spacious and the self care products (Crabtree & Evelyn) are top notch. Tea and coffee available. You're offered warm cookies on arrival, subject to allergies. Staff- were polite and very helpful both in person and on the phone. Location: The hotel is near to a cinema, shops and restaurants, so there is a variety right on your door step. Food - Room service of battered fish and chips was ordered. The batter was slightly burnt. The taste was good overall as well as the presentation. Breakfast was continental and in my opinion mediocre. There wasn't anything tasty, seemed run of the mill - toast, pastries, poached egg(the yolk being fully cooked cannot be individualised), yoghurt, fruit, sausage, bacon, etc - a lot to have but bland, like it's bulk ordered. Room Location: If walking is a challenge, book a room near to the lift. Remember it is built around a football pitch. I quickly got my steps in, with the distance to get to the room to the foyer lift and back. Please note AI used to remove individuals in centre of the pitch picture. Recommend: a definite yes!"

"Where do I even start. Firstly, the hotel itself feels like it’s falling apart, and not in a traditional “rustic” way. The lobby’s floorboards wobble and creak, with their stains covered by the overly dim lighting. The room wasn’t small, however the good things stop about there. The bathroom lights did not work. The floor was covered in plastic peelings from the chair, in addition to the dead flies. The bedding was awful; the duvet and pillows seems as if they were made from the same material as sponges, with sheets like sandpaper. I understand this place isn’t meant to be the Ritz, but charging £70p/n is extortionate. The TV worked, though it’s remote didn’t. I only had it on so the background noise of the other TVs in the hotel was diluted. The walls were paper thin. This excessive noise wasn’t helped by the hotel being on a main roundabout; If you find it difficult to sleep due to noise or bedding, DO NOT STAY HERE! The room had tea making facilities, of which I had no trouble with. However some other facilities, which are normally expected for £70p/n, weren’t available. These would include a hairdryer, iron, and possibly even a Safe of some kind. In summary, this hotel is NOT worth staying at. Being an independent hotel, I know that they would struggle with lowering the prices. However, for £70p/n, this place is daylight robbery. I would say this place would be worth a maximum of £30p/n, most likely even less. "

"The rooms are in an English style, like a detached house that's been converted into a hotel. It's beautiful, the air is nice and it's surrounded by nature. Even though there's no elevator, it's not bad."

"Everything is just find. Room is spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. It would be better to have more variety. Very good value for the money. Just one thing is that I was waken up a few times for some unknown sound on the wall of the bed attached to it."

"Location was convenient for the business trip i was on. Facilities were as described but would have preferred if the room was a bit cleaner, noticed a lot of dust on the windows and TV. That could have been as a result of the windows being left open to allow some air in due to the ongoing heatwaves. I did appreciate the fan in the room, definitely thoughtful of the management to provide one in the room and hallways. The reception desk personnel were also polite, helpdul, professional and welcoming. I will likely go back and stay there again in the future."

"Don’t bother. Dirty, stained sheets. Mould (I think) in bath. Outdated, by 40yrs. Walls so thin, the conversion next door was overheard over our TV! No hot water. Toilet flush broken (lever stayed down) No plugs anywhere near the bed. Left/checked out, before we unpacked. Stayed 3 hours. (Enough time to briefly rest and go back home)"
