Location is very good. Also the staff was nice. There is a beautiful garden that is good to chill. The place is dirty. Not enough bathroom for the quantity of beds. For me, it seems that no one care about the hostel, maybe too many people with few resposabilities. Also the staff made a lot of noise on the bedroom (the ones who are living there), like they were at their own houses. There is no ”travel people mood”, it seems a place with no owner. I would never come back.

Very comfortable bed, pillows could be better, not so fluffy anymore. Rooms with two beds have bathtubs and it was perfect to relax after being at the Expo. Super hot water. Very extensive breakfast. There is everything. I loved it.

Wish we could've given this place 5 stars, especially considering the price and affordability; but we had one major bad experience/issue. My wife and I stayed at Square Small Hotel on the last weekend in August, everything was great: the room, the staff ( with a major exception) and the free breakfast. The safe in the room/closet was not working and since the hotel seemed so on-point, we decided to just keep our valuable and extra cash in our bags. The night before our checkout, we noticed that a hundred dollar bill was missing, not all the money just one bill/note. My wife noticed that the rest of the cash in her bag, was not in the arrangement as she kept. As we were not 100 percent (but was 98 percent) sure, we notified the front desk. They assured that they would look into it, check the cameras in hallways, and key cards used; they promised to give us an update in the morning. In the morning, no update and they asked that I check back with the same staff who would be back later; at checkout no update and the staff member said that I had to speak with the manager who would not be back, and funny enough was with whom I spoke to in the morning. Basically I got the run around for 15 minutes. And the net sum, was that they trust their staff and that it could not have been stolen from the room. When I questioned why the safe was conveniently broken in our room, I got a shoulder shrug. Honestly at the end of the day, I didn't expect the hotel to do anything other than to look into it, but their lack of follow-thru was very disappointing. Before I left I asked if they would continue to look into it, they said yes, and I asked how they would follow up with me, and he gave me a bewildered look. I asked him if he made notes as to my account, check-in information so that they can email me, and again I got a shoulder shrug. This was not a language barrier issue, it was, to do the bare minimum and just wait for my to leave. I then spoke with another staff, provided my contact information and requested that they provide me a follow-up email if just to say that there was nothing conclusive. I told the front desk staff that I would give them a month to respond before I left this info on a review. Well here we are 3 months later and no info from the hotel, hence this review. Everything else was great, and the reason for this negative review isn't the issue of the missing cash, but really the lack of response from the hotel.

This is a truly great place , top of list the staff are great bunch of lovely people.The cost was amazing so reasonable,lovely garden miniature orange tree right out side the door,flowers and swimming pool. It took a bit to get our bearings but once you do its very central and guess what the hotel taxi was clean , courteous and a great driver so use him if you are at all worried.. The hotel is in the historic center. Outside the restaurant on the 7th floor, you can see the church and the square next to the hotel. I did n’t know that the square was a place where many people would check in. The hotel is at Expo Guadalajara: A taxi takes about 13-15 minutes (with smooth traffic) and costs less than 150 pesos. Our flight arrived early in the morning, contacted the hotel in advance, and booked the car in advance by email via the hotel mailbox notified by Ctrip, and informed the flight number, number of people, baggage number, and arrival time The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport. The 7-seat car we booked costs about 750 pesos. Tip 5 [%]-10 [%] if possible Hotel towels are worn out, it is best to bring your own towels. No toothpaste, toothbrush, or shower gel. Passengers are required to bring their own toiletries. There are small pieces of soap, shampoo ... Meal is on the 7th floor. The buffet breakfast is not suitable for Chinese taste. I eat eggs, fruits and toast for several days. Dinner is not cheap.

The service was very good. The waiters at breakfast were attentive and attentive. The room was a bit old.

Hotel is pretty new so it’s still kept up quite nicely. However I found the staff here at both the front desk and the restaurant exceptional. We stayed here on two different occasions and they were both good. Rooms have the proper windows to quiet the noise outside. Also the hotel has a shuttle to the airport BUT NOT FROM THE AIRPORT so keep this in mind. Uber is not allowed at the airport so you will need to take a taxi by pre-paying inside the airport near the rental car area. If you’re in need of staying near the airport, this is the best choice by far. Breakfast is usually included and pretty good too, not that continental crap. Enjoy! 😀

It looks a lot better in person than it does on their website. It was walking distance from the Historic Center which is where the Cathedrals are located. Great customer service. The food was okay.,but I wouldn't choose to eat there again. But overall my experience was fantastic.
