This is not our first time staying at the hotel. The first time we were here was 4 years ago and then 2 times 3 years ago. So this is our fourth time in Chalet Mirabell . When we visited the first two times a few years ago, everything was just fantastic. Especially the food, it was a real Michelin expirience. When we came third time we noticed that the food has changed not for the better and has become more simple despite the fact that the price of the room increased every year. Therefore, we decided to abstain for a few years and visit other luxury hotels in this rich region, which are not few. But this year we noticed that the hotel received the Gault Millau status as the best gourmet hotel of 2021 and the main building was also renovated and another swimming pool was built Therefore, we decided to try again and chose a really good offer 3 days = 4 days, thats mean one day for free. Now I’ll tell about everything in order from our arrival and what we noticed from the first day: The first that we noticed that there are no rubber slippers in the room anymore ( I didn’t take my because it was before)You have only fabric one, that is not good to use in wet areas of spa hotel. The spa bag in the room looks used and torn in some places, it also had small stains on it and is very strange, especially during covid times. Other hotels usually give guests a new disposable bag during their stay. Now for the food: Breakfast is very good ,there was plenty of fresh fruit that was plus for us. We found the lunch also very good, with life kitchen, soup and salads buffet. Concerning the sweet table from 14:30 till 16:00 h it was not more than ok, it was not changed 4 days and wasn’t very tasty, some simple rolls with wiped cream and etc.,we only liked the local specialties. Approaching dinner, I want to note that dinner is declared as a gourmet dinner of 5-7 courses, that in fact not correct. Well, you have to choose only primi, main course and desert . The starter you need to take in buffer bar and this is like cold small snack prepared in advance . So 5-7 course menu looks like this: Butter( new each day) Buffet salads Cold starter always from buffet , that is in our opinion is not good solution. Primi( some pasta or soup) But nothing special for choice. Main course ( you have normal choice of 3 options) Desert( you also have 3 /4options ) We noticed that for this years the food didn’t become better, its quite simple ,without something special, no seafood at all. No a la cart menu in case you would like to change some courses. No thematic evenings. The bread choice finished each evening, so if you come at 20:00 , you will just find some baguette on empty shelves and nothing else, no rye bread . For the spa, the spa in the hotel is really big and very nice, this is the reason we choose Chalet Mirabell.But this visit we noticed in the adult area near the infinity pool and inside area the sewer smell during the day.
