Wonderful service and staff, the food at the restaurant was great but the pet friendly rooms are terrible. Stained carpet, musty smell, walls dented, damaged and scuffed. The bathrooms were more updated but not in much better shape. For 248.00 a night I expect better. The first room they gave us was super tiny the next was much more spacious but that was the only good thing about it.

My fiancé and I booked the "Spa Getaway by the Falls" and it was great! Patricia and Brittany at the front desk were so nice and very thoughtful. When they found out it was our anniversary, they moved us to an amazing 2-story suite that featured a spiral staircase! Included in the package were breakfast credits to Cocoon- a fantastic café of the property- and dinner credits at Glass Wine Bar & Kitchen- not only great food but we were able to have them send it up via room service. The massages we got form Loren at Vault 240 were phenomenal and it was a pleasure being able to explore such a unique place (an old bank turned into a 1920s era private club). The star of the show was the gorgeous waterfall, and the multitude of decks on the property offered various vantage points to fully appreciate it. We will definitely be going back soon!

We have been to hundreds of hotels of all stripes over the course of our careers and personal vacation lives. We had high expectations for Ledges based on the web description. To be fair, the view of the waterfall was lovely, but the hotel itself was deeply disappointing. Be aware that the marketing and accomodations bear no resemblence to one another and it is hard not to feel that the owners are engaged in intentional fraud. The price alone suggests a high-end experience. Our single night stay with all fees was $500+ for a first floor room with a view of the parking lot. The furnishings could be generously described as 'bare-bones'. No standard features such as a mini-fridge for leftovers or make-up towelettes in the bath area. We understand it is a historic site, but the lack of amenities is not dependent upon hotel age. The pool and hot-tub mentioned were at a different property altogether, requiring a bathing suit car-ride and rubber bracelet. The noise from the floor above was deafening (literally). We had a lot of trouble falling asleep as it sounded like the ceiling might cave in. Our staff experiences were mixed with one disrpespectful encounter and one very pleasant. Needless to say, we cannot recommend this hotel and would instead suggest visiting the lovely waterfall parks in the area and finding a less expensive (and more welcoming) place to sleep.

Our room was on the first floor with a view of… the parking lot along with all the sounds that go with it. This a very photogenic hotel so I won’t deny that we got some great photos. However, the bathroom was outdated and not maintained, and as far as the rest of the room - you could tell they were doing their best. But the certain spots like the walls had dust/dirt and although the bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft, the comforter was light and flimsy. Not cosy at all. Our reservation came with a breakfast credit and I’ll say this - the coffee was not bad (and I am picky- I won’t even drink Starbucks)! I’d come back to eat at the restaurant because we didn’t get to try it but I don’t think I’ll come back as a guest until they can renovate… though they might be the best accoms in the area. *the 2 bed suites seem better but I toured them and just feel like it’s more of the same just with extra room.
Response from Property: Hi Celeste, We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay at Ledges Hotel. As you mentioned, there are a variety of room types available. We regret the accommodation did not meet your expectation. Please know our guest spaces are routinely updated and refreshed to ensure guests' comfort. Nice architecture and good service at the hotel restaurant. Blasting music from a wedding party has permeated the environment from the time we arrived and makes it impossible to enjoy the beautiful waterfall. It saturates our room and we can’t relax in peace. I would rather be at an honest Motel 6 than at this high end impostor. Other missing amenities: no breakfast onsite, we need to travel to a different property. No room safe. Windows don’t open. Loud portable air conditioner in the bedroom connected to the window with duct tape: I would much prefer an open window. All in all, this property has a unique and wonderful natural/industrial environment which they have destroyed for us with a lack of taste and judgement.

This is not a review so much as a warning, as I did not stay at Ledges after I discovered this. When I got almost finished withbooking a room at Ledges I saw for the first time that Ledges charges a "resort fee." Those fees are about the most offensive scam I have ever experienced while traveling and I long ago vowed to never again stay at a place that charges one. (It is doubly offensive that we never seem to be told about them until the end of the booking process.) Ledges sounds like a really nice place, but be aware you will pay far more that the price you expect.

It really was too expensive for a hotel with small rooms, little table space for travel bags, and virtually no bathroom counter space. The restaurant is good though overpriced, but the breakfast was up the hill in a different building. While there is a breakfast credit, the service there does not start until 7:30 a.m. and is extremely slow. Really not a good hotel for an efficient overnight stay, maybe good for tourism.
Response from Property: Hi Ted, We're sorry you were disappointed with your stay at Ledges. There are a variety of room types available from compact European style guest rooms to two-bedroom suites. It's great to hear you enjoyed dining at our restaurant, Glass, but regret the breakfast options didn't meet your needs. Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We appreciate your feedback.

We stayed for a few nights in April. The accommodations were great (we stayed in a two story room), everything was clean and bright. Loved the feel of the place, the welcoming staff and the beautiful views. Enjoyed the easy access to the waterfalls! We would definitely stay again! Parking can be hit or miss and the road leading down to the hotel is a bit stressful, but completely worth the trip!
Response from Property: Hi Meg, It's wonderful to hear you had a lovely getaway to Ledges Hotel. We're thrilled you enjoyed the accommodation, atmosphere, waterfall views and service. Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Please come again. We look forward to welcoming you back!

We paid a lot for our room, and thankfully the rude woman at the front desk refunded us after 2 hour. First, the place was over-run by a wedding party. They were clearly given preference while we - also paying guests -- were pushed out of the way by the hotels' uniformly rude staff. The porch overlooking the falls would have been a wonderful place to have a cocktail, but no. It was only for guests of the wedding party. To add to the insult, our room was near a loud door leading to the basement bar. Any time someone used the doorway to go to or from the bar downstairs, we heard a metallic banging in our room. This was a wedding party of drinkers - there was nonstop clanging in that hallway leading down to the bar. The check-in woman told us she was the manager and there was nothing she could do about the noise in the room. The hotel was fully booked. She also told us there was nothing to be done to accommodate us on the porches overlooking the falls. There were simply more of them to please than us. With tax our room for the night was about $400!! There was no apology, no accommodation, nothing. This was how it would be. And so we asked for, and were provided with, a refund. We found another hotel just a few miles away. No falls, but no attitude either.

Peaceful and lovely. The service is outstanding. They treated us like they were genuinely happy we were there. The room was small but cozy. With all the wonderful things going on in the bar and restaurant you don't need a big room. The view on the deck is incredible.

My wife & I wanted a weekend away. The weather was rainy, but it made the falls spectacular. The was a wedding at check-in, which made it awkward for the bride. But, it was beautiful, scenic & the staff was very helpful & friendly. The Glass, was an attached restaurant. It was equally lovely. To sum it up, it gets a solid A!

Not sure how this hotel got any good reviews. It looks like a prison. We checked in and went to our room and literally dropped our bags in disbelief. We paid $1,150 for 3 nights in an upgraded room (next most expensive was a suite). It was maybe 150 square feet. No chairs, no tables, no place to sit or read. Motel 6 has bigger rooms. I went to the desk and asked if I was in an upgraded room because it was so small. "You think those are small, you should see the standard room," was not the reply I was expecting. We left and went to Settler's Inn, a much, much better choice.
