We spent 5 days here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The rooms were well presented and clean with everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Lucky, Sveta and the team work hard to ensure their guests have a comfortable stay. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away, with shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk away. One thing to note is that the hotel is situated on the train line so I would recommend ear plugs for those that sleep lightly. All in all, this is a great value for money stay in Hikkaduwa.

Have just Spent two nights at L&D lodge. The room was spotless and airy, comfy beds and plenty of hot water, good strength shower ( which can be hard to find in SL!) The room also had tea making facilities, Kettle & fridge. Others have mentioned the trains as it is very close to the track however we didn’t have a problem with that but those light sleepers might find it disturbing! I do want to say that the staff were so lovely, all were friendly and helpful, especially Sventa(?) who’s smily face just added to our stay here. Would definitely return.
