"The staff was very good. I am very satisfied that I can enjoy the food and eat various dishes little by little. I didn't get tired of watching the murals in the bath. The staff was very happy to serve and it was a fun trip. There are few inns that I want to use again, but Tatsumi Kan wanted to use it again! Thank you."

The Takaragawa Onsen Ousenkaku is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Takaragawa Onsen Ousenkaku offers a pleasant stay in Minakami for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located a short 11km drive from Yubiso Station. Seeing Minakami's sights from this hotel is easy with Minakami Kogen Fujiwara ski resort, Fujiwarakokohan Park and Takara River all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Minakami hotel provides parking on site. "Pros: + Stunning outdoor onsen: The outdoor bath is the highlight. The natural scenery is beautiful, especially with the surrounding mountains and snow. + Tourist-friendly onsen: The resort provides special underwear so guests can comfortably enjoy the onsen without needing to be fully nude, which makes it much more accessible for international visitors. + Excellent kaiseki dinner: The traditional multi-course meal is well-prepared and delicious. Definitely one of the highlights of the stay. + Great atmosphere: The entire setting feels very authentic and relaxing, especially in winter. + Service meets expectations: Staff are professional and the hospitality is solid throughout the stay. Cons: - Outdoor bath is quite far from the main building: You need to walk through a snowy path wearing the traditional yukata, which can feel very cold and slightly inconvenient. - TV lacks modern app support: The in-room TV does not support apps like Netflix or other streaming services. - Tight schedule for check-in and check-out: The first shuttle bus arrives at the resort around 2:00 PM, leaving only a few hours before dinner at 5:45 PM. After dinner you can enjoy the onsen again until midnight, and it reopens at 5:00 AM. However, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, and guests must check out by 9:00 AM to catch the 9:15 AM bus. This makes the morning feel rushed and limits the time you can spend enjoying the onsen. The rest of your day might be feeling tired. Despite a few inconveniences - mainly the walking distance to the outdoor bath and the tight check-out schedule. Takaragawa Onsen is still a highly enjoyable experience. The stunning outdoor, beautiful scenery, and great kaiseki dinner make it a memorable stay. If you're visiting Japan and want to experience a famous outdoor onsen, this place is definitely worth it and shouldn't be missed."

"I used this to ride from the first train of Shiraneyama ropeway. It is an inn that is relieved with the feeling of an old-fashioned inn. The room was just a good size but the refrigerator and toilet are shared. There was no yukata. The hot springs become smooth skin. Because it is lukewarm water, it does not warm up unless it enters more than 15 minutes slowly. There was an oil stove. There was a beetle in the room because it was in nature. There was a 7-Eleven in the car about 5 minutes."

"If you're a foreigner, a translation tool is essential because the staff don't speak English, or their accent was hard for us to understand. When we couldn't communicate, they seemed annoyed (90% of the staff didn't smile at us). There was an older staff member who was friendly, especially the one handling ski activity bookings. 🤬🤬 Absolutely terrible. The food was mediocre, not much variety or taste. The room was clean, and the onsen bathroom with amenities was excellent. In summary, due to poor communication and the staff's lack of enthusiasm in recommending snow activities, my trip ended in tears 😭😭. I had planned to do many snow activities, but instead, I just walked around, built snowmen, and rolled in the snow. I won't be coming back here next trip. I'll look for a hotel that's more welcoming to Thais."

"The location is a bit remote, the elderly male reception staff is very enthusiastic, the room space is large and well maintained, but it feels like the age of the building. The meal is quite delicious, but there are a few dishes that are western-style, and I am not very used to eating. I want to eat local traditional cuisine. Overall a relaxing hotel."

"The hotel is not far from the station, about a five-minute drive away. Near the hotel is Tianyi Art Museum whose owner is an artist of traditional Shakuhachi musical instruments. The decoration and details of the hotel are very artistic. Inadvertently found a hotel with a local traditional culture atmosphere. You need to make an appointment if you have a private soup, and you can see the outdoor scenery. Public soups for men and women are separated and served 24 hours a day. The breakfast is delicious and authentic with local specialties. The dinner will provide musical instrument performance and experience. Interesting."

"[Location] It's easy because there is a shuttle bus from Minakami Station. 【service】 He is very polite and looks at our customers. (If you accidentally dropped the ingredients during the breakfast buffet, an employee at a distance told me ”I'm OK as it is.”) [Cleanliness] I thought the exterior was a bit rough (the exterior of the lobby was beautiful), but the interior was very beautiful. Surprisingly beautiful. [Facilities and amenities] ・ You can drink coffee and apple juice freely in the lounge. (I drank apple juice but it was very delicious.) -Take toilet paper in the room toilet It is a bit disappointing that the rattling sound reverberates in the bedroom. ・ There is a fireplace beside the lobby and it looks like an Instagram. [General] The hotel itself was very beautiful and the service was good. I would definitely stay here when I went over the water. "

A hotel in the Itoen Hotels chain which offers the same 7,800 yen rate on weekdays, weekends and holidays

"The cospa was the best. It was 2 meals per night and all-you-can-drink at night. This is the second use of this term. I was beaten by the school discount ... (bitter smile). It was a little disappointing that when the parking lot was full and I parked in a remote place, I wonder if I wanted you to guide me a little better."

GGuest UserWhat impressed me most was the excellent breakfast and dinner! I highly recommend staying at this onsen hotel when visiting Gunma. The main dish for dinner was sukiyaki, which was delicious, and each dish was prepared with great care. The food here is really tasty! This time, I stayed in a room with a private open-air onsen bath. The onsen quality here is very high; the spring water isn't heated, allowing you to soak while enjoying the view of Mount Tanigawa. The service was impeccable in every detail, including specially provided pajamas and decaffeinated roasted tea served at night. The next morning, you can also enjoy complimentary coffee while admiring Mount Tanigawa again.

GGuest UserWe were in Hoshi Onsen 25 years ago, and we loved it so much that we decided to visit it once more during our recent Japan trip. Hoshi is one of the most traditional and older onsen in Japan, with more than one hundred years of history. Walking in its corridors or lingering in Hoshi-no-yu (the main indoor bath) you can really feel as if time had completely stopped and as you have plunged in a remote era. Yet it provides any possible comfort. Important renovations have been made, but always with great taste and respectful of tradition. Dinner is excellent and also the open air bath is really beautiful. The surroundings are also very nice and deserve a walk. It is a bit expensive, but no doubt worth the price

GGuest UserA newly built modern hotel that comes with a private onsen in your balcony. Dinner with fusion which is not the usual for ryokan stays. You get to choose between Japanese or Western cuisine which we opt for Japanese and it was delicious! it's just a 6mins walk down to the Supermarket. Will definitely come back some day again!

GGuest UserIt's a bathing place, but there is no shower room in the room, so you have to go to the public bath to take a bath. The service is also average, it seems polite, but the corridor is carpeted, and no one is willing to help you with your luggage when you check out, so you can only pull a suitcase cart back to the room to take your luggage.

まつすみWe sang karaoke with the family and relaxed in the bath. Above all, the room had a great view of Mt. Tanigawa and was very calming. I also stayed here at the end of the year. I loved the open-air crystal bath (a big, rustic barrel bath). There was a river flowing right next to it, and it felt like we were in the mountains, so it was a very charming and comfortable time. Thank you very much.

GGuest UserOur visit to this hotel was perfectly adequate. The traditional setting provided a nice sense of atmosphere, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The onsen facilities themselves were clean and relaxing, meeting our expectations for a hot spring experience. Our room was spacious, but the amenities felt a little dated and could use some refreshment. Dinner and breakfast were included, offering a standard array of Japanese cuisine that was palatable, though not exceptional. The staff were polite. Overall, it's a safe and decent choice if you're looking for a no-frills, standard onsen hotel experience.

BBenSo many little things that make this hotel much better than anything else. The way they show you to your room, the way they put your shoes away and bring them back on your departure date, the way dinner and breakfast is waiting for you at your own private table, the way they let couples share an onsen during quiet hours. My point is - you will feel like a VIP here. The staff and always there, taking care of you in subtle ways, but you never feel watched or intruded on. This kind of invisible service - maybe hard for westerners to understand, but it is excellent. You will feel like you are really being understand and looked after. Highly recommend. Best hotel service I've had in japan in 2 years of living here. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserBoth dinner and breakfast were buffet style, so it was very good that children could choose what they liked. It was good that all the foods were easy to eat for vegetarians. Above all, the dishes were very delicious and I told my family that I wanted to go again. The hot springs were very comfortable and the children were happy. It was also attractive to be able to take a bath for 24 hours. I definitely want to go again.
