The room was small compared with rooms at other hotels I've stayed at in Japan for a similar price, but it was clean and comfortable, except for the hard pillows (this, granted, is just a personal preference). The bathroom was neat and well-equipped, though I wish there were more towels (again, personal preference). The staff was polite, but I cannot estimate if they speak English as my partner handled the check-in and check-out in Japanese. The location is great; you can basically walk to the hotel from the train station and even see the hotel building as you descend down the station stairs.

Stayed here to play on the attached golf course. The room is clean, the quality of the hot spring is good, and the morning bath is the best. Summer is the best because it is also a summer escape, but this was the first time I stayed outside of summer. As a result, it was the best outside of summer.
