I stayed at Hotel Limmathof for one night while visiting Zurich, and it worked well as a straightforward, no-frills option in a very convenient location.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is how central it is. It’s less than a 5-minute walk from Zurich’s main train station, which makes it ideal if you’re arriving late, leaving early, or just want easy access to transport. It’s also within walking distance of the Old Town, shops, and restaurants, so you can explore the city without needing to rely on public transport.
The room itself was quite basic but clean and functional. It had everything needed for a short overnight stay, even if it didn’t feel particularly modern or luxurious. For me, that wasn’t an issue as I was only there for one night and mainly needed somewhere comfortable to sleep.
I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the food, but there are plenty of cafés and bakeries nearby if you prefer to eat out.
I would recommend Hotel Limmathof if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, centrally located hotel in Zurich for a short stay. It’s not about luxury, but it offers convenience, cleanliness, and good access to everything you need in the city.

They locked the door with the key so my parents couldn’t enter their room on the 2nd day. Receptionist said: if you don’t pay for the breakfast we don’t open your door. We were still staying for another and like everywhere in the world you always pay at check out.
The day after they put on a ticket at our car with the message: if you don’t pay for our parking we go to the police. The day we arrived they said it was ok and we would pay again at the check out.
I never ever had this issues with another hotel and trust me I travel a lot.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The customer service at the front desk greeted us warmly and mentioned that they would make our final hotel experience during the trip a wonderful ending. They delivered our heavy luggage to our room without us even asking, which we greatly appreciated, especially since we had come from Zurich. :)
The breakfast offered a variety of options, although it still needs some enhancement. The meat section is made to order to ensure freshness, but we didn't notice that clause written in the menu.
The hotel's location is strategic, being close to Zurich's old town and shopping districts. The tram stop is just a three-minute walk away, and trams pass right in front of the hotel. Fortunately, our room was located on the quieter side of the hotel, and we were glad to have a balcony in our room.

Very satisfied with the stay in Zurich with Locke, Milos was very welcoming and friendly. Room was spotless, huge and quiet. We had a good night sleep before our flight. If you have a car you had to pay for it and it cost 40CHF per night. Apparently that’s like a standard rate unless you manage to get the public one which is unlikely. There’s a lot cafes and restaurants nearby.

We got a room that is in front the lake on the 4th floor, we got in and the room was smelly, very well designed but super dirty and we had to change rooms. Thanks to the worker Julia Paris we got a different room on the 5th floor, smaller and cleaner but there were still maintenance problems. Overall the workers treatment was very good and the lake view was great and the breakfast as well. I would say the main problem is the dirty and the maintenance.

The location is excellent. It is definitely 30 minutes away from the airport. If you are at the station, push your luggage for 5-8 minutes. About 15-20 minutes from Bahnhofstrasse, there is also a coop within 5 minutes walk. There is no air-conditioning. If you book in summer, please note that the room is still a little stuffy. Breakfast is very average, there is no refrigerator in the room, only a coffee machine, and the bar for breakfast downstairs is 24 hours. The hotel is pretty good and the price is right. But don't expect too much for breakfast.

This hotel has a push. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The hot water is very hot. There is free black tea water and coffee on the first floor. The breakfast is also very good. The space is comfortable and the TV has YouTube for foreign tourists who are not very good at foreign languages. It is definitely a big advantage.
It’s a pity that there is no total power supply by the bed. When you want to sleep, you have to get up and turn off the light. There is no socket by the bed. You have to unplug the plug of the light. But I don’t think the flaws are hidden. I like this hotel. 👍👍👍

JJudgeJustinAfter surviving a passport control queue that felt long enough to qualify as a second flight, walking into 25Hours Hotel Zurich was pure bliss. We’d booked a Large room for our first Valentine’s weekend together, and it was a brilliant call - spacious, beautifully presented, and hitting that elusive sweet spot between ”industrial-chic” and ”actually comfortable.”
The showstopper (quite literally) was the glass shower cubicle standing proudly in the centre of the room. It’s a bold design choice that we loved, and for those who aren’t quite ready to share that much with their partner, it’s easily screened off for a bit of privacy. The free mini-bar and designer coffee were lovely surprises that made us feel like VIPs, and the smart TV’s screen-sharing was a total win; mirroring Netflix from our phones was effortless, making our late-night movie plans a breeze.
The staff were truly excellent. We turned up an hour before the official check-in time, but instead of being sent away to wander the streets, the receptionist checked us in immediately with a genuine smile. Furthermore, after we indulged in slightly more red wine than was perhaps wise the night before, the team graciously allowed us a late check-out with zero fuss and no extra charge. That level of empathy is rare, in my experience.
If you want high-quality, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quirky accommodation in a prime Zurich location, look no further. It even smells fantastic - I’m convinced there’s a designer scent being pumped through the air conditioning. (Note to management: if you sell that fragrance in a bottle, please let me know - I’ll take five!)

Near to Zurich HB about 10 mins walk from station. We were carrying 2 large suitcases only had 1 challenging point where we needed to carry them up a flight of stairs on the way to the hotel from the train station.

MMiao miaomiaomiaoA very good stay experience. When I first checked in, I was not amazed, and even wanted to complain about the small bed in the triple room. It was a bit casual, right? But after actually checking in, I found that the mattress was very comfortable, the quilt was also very comfortable, and there was a bed-making service at night.
Although the bathroom has a glass door, it was a little awkward when taking a shower, but fortunately it was a family trip, so it was okay.
Here comes the point: I had to catch an early train on the day of check-out, so I didn’t have time to eat breakfast. I went to the front desk to ask if I could pack my breakfast? The front desk professionally took out a service sheet, recorded the room number and the number and content of the packed breakfast, and agreed on the time to pick up the meal in the morning! When I went to pick up the meal in the morning, it was already packed, great 👍🏻!
The location of the hotel is very convenient, the train station and various attractions are within walking distance, suitable for Zurich Citywalk.

GGuest UserThe first day when we arrived on the 13th of August , the guy at the front desk was very friendly and polite.The hotel is located near tram and train station and bus station so it is was very convenient to go anywhere. Tram is 4mins walk away ,10mins walk to supermarket and train station. And 15mins by tram to the Zurich airport .
Hotel cleanliness is an issue, very dusty floor,dirty sink,and dirty toilet bowl. I even asked twice the receptionist the guy on duty if they can clean our room and put a fresh towel but no one came to clean.Room service is not 24hrs. Air conditioning doesn’t cool the room down. No tv channels. Hotel service is below standard.

GGuest UserHotel is a 10 min walk from the bus station which connects to the train from the airport. The same bus station that takes to the central train station. It costs about 12CHF to 18CHF to or from train station. Hotel provides free rental bicycles which is very convenient. Facilities are OK. Room size is reasonable.
Be aware that the uncovered glass of the shower may not suitable for all if privacy is important. The room we stayed were extremely hot. While it is only 14°-18° outside, the room temperature is definitely 30°+. It made hard to wear the proper clothing to fit the temperature for the day. No aircon, the only way to cool the room down is to open the side window which leaves no wall from the room to outside of the building. Yes, the only barrier are a couple of metal bars between the desk against the window to outside the building from our ninth floor room. Plus the window can closed by itself, you need to reopen it multiple times if you want the cooler air for a little longer. It’s hard for a hot night sleep.
Breakfast is good and has good variety of the food and drinks. It costs 24CHF p.p. if it is pre-ordered.
If stays in the same room, no, it is not recommended to stay here. It may have other rooms that are not as hot as the one we stayed.

No heating in the room but then we found a Dyson air blower in the cupboard which heated the room nicely. We also requested extra pillows which were sent to our room promptly. Lovely staff. MMarc1Really good modern hotel with spacious rooms. I recommend for the people that decide for this hotel to arrive by car, as it is a bit more remote, the valet parking takes care of the rest. Fantastic restaurant on the 4th floor, in case you don’t want to travel into the city, over all a 5/5 experience!
