Great central hotel. Asked for a quiet room when booking and got 306 which was great. Breakfast at De La Paix hotel next door was great and the food at De La Paix hotel restaurant (Restaurant Lapin) was excellent! Best ravioli I've ever tasted! The only problem and reason for 4 stars not 5 was the room temperature. I was in Luzern in April when it was 5-8 degrees outside yet the room was more like 25 degrees! Thankfully I had a large fan in the room which helped but I had to open the window during the night which isn't ideal. I would not stay here in the warm summer months due to this.

Had a hard time trying to locate the hotel and do self check-in. Room is basically clean. However, we are not used to the heater in the room as it did not seem to be working though switched to the max. Kettle is not provided but is still available upon request. Breakfast is good. Friendly restaurant staff.

nice and convenient place to stay

Very good location, spacious room. To improve isolation since you can hear all the street noise and they are in public works that strangely work at night. They can improve pillows and upholster furniture. Very easy Self check-in

good location for visiting lucernce

Everything was great except there was no Air Con. It was middle of September & rooms were sweltering and stuffy. Couldnt sleep because of heat & noise. Romms were supplied with a small, very noisy desk top fan.

The Self Check-in was very smooth and effective. The room was ok. However, I didn't expect business room without a/c: these days were extremely hot and it was not easy to get some sleep during a night even with fully open window. The table light is necessary to make work and reading possible. Extra power sockets at the table or extention power cable would be very helpful. Many thanks to restaurant team for extra service - I had to leave early and I was served at 6:30 - while breakfast service starts at 7:00.

Chambre bruyante (fenêtre ouverte à cause de la chaleur), sans climatisation (le ventilateur date des années 50 et fait un bruit impressionnant qui empêche littéralement de dormir). Aucun accueil personnalisé sauf à se rendre à la réception de l'hôtel adjacent.

Good position but rooms need to be renovated.

The room was clean and spacious and beds were decent. Breakfast is at Hotel de la Paix and has an excellent spread. Good choices available for vegetarians too. Location is great- walking distance to the station, lion monument and the Chapel bridge. Now coming to the not so great parts: 1) At the time of booking, I did not notice that the room has no air conditioning. Please check that before you book. Travelers from the US assume air conditioning is available everywhere. The room temperature was okay after left the window open (but that exposes you to the noise from the street below) 2) The bathroom exhaust did not work well. Not acceptable in my opinion. 3) The Hotel does not have anyone at the reception. The reception is at Hotel de la Paix which very close (apparantly the two hotels have a commmon management). This is a slight inconvenience

Spotless from the point of cleanliness, excellent position overlooking Löwenplatz & about 2 minute walk from/to the lake (views to die for!). I was on the 5th floor, so whilst there didn't appear to be any air-con it wasn't an issue as the window could be left open all night to give some air. The noise from bars/restaurants turning out at 11pm/12am wasn't an issue. I would go there again. Check-in is 100% self-service at a device on the ground floor although the hotel next door has a reception which supports any issues, according to the signs. We had breakfast there, but no issues. The rooms are rather bland (could use a little hotel comfort maybe eg picture on the wall of the lake perhaps), but other than than a very good price for a very good location. There are lots of restaurants around and a Coop next door (open until 7pm) with some cheaper eats if desired).

Lage perfekt! Zimmer sind alt, aber sauber, Klimaanlage wäre super!
