I’ve been here 3 times on two separate trips. The first time was enjoyable, great views with a selection of cocktails. Then went back two days later and was told to move midway through our drinks to a more compact area. Third time on this trip the waiter was quite rude before we were even seated so it ruined the moment and we walked out. I understand they are busy but need to address customer service with staff.

An absolute gem! Tucked away and inconspicuous on Alcazabaville central Malaga. In a pedestrian area right next to the Roman amphitheatre and the Alcazaba. The hotel is listed as 2 star but punches well above its weight. Spotlessly clean public areas and rooms. Our room had twin beds with comfortable firm mattresses. We could see the Alcazaba from our room. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. Breakfast was included. Simple but served nicely and enough to start the day. Marisa and Juan on reception were very helpful and courteous as were all other staff we met. The rooftop bar overlooking the Alcazaba was lively and a great place to sit in the evenings. All museums the central market and the port area were within a short walk. Lots of bars and restaurants outside the hotel door and in the nearby square. If we return to Malaga we would use this hotel again. Thoroughly recommend.
Response from Property: Dear Guest, thank you very much for telling us your experience in our Hotel. We are proud to know that you could fully enjoy your holiday. Our staff is at your disposal to make your stay pleasant and satisfactory. We look forward to your visit again. Best regards, The Management.

Absolutely fantastic location, friendly and very obliging staff, bed very comfortable, great pillows. Room a lot bigger than anticipated and lovely (nearly) floor to ceiling windows with shutters. Really buzzy street below, great roof top bar. Very clean and lovely towels! Will definitely be back. Catherine Naidoo

The location is amazing, literally steps away from the Alcazaba, in the heart of the historic city, close to the beach, to the Picasso Museum, lots of shops and restaurants. However, if you have a problem with noise, specially if you cannot sleep with noise, this place may not be for you. It is super noisy. The noise comes from the restaurants outside, which are open until around 2 in the morning and from the people who come into the hotel to go to the rooftop, which is super popular. Maybe if your room faces the other side of the hotel it may be a bit better, but we were on the second floor, facing the street. The room is confortable and clean. The bathroom very spacious, but the shower curtain does not reach the floor in a way to prevent water from splilling out, so it becomes a bit of a mess. We were using a good number of towels to keep the floor dry. The hotel offered us a bottle of white wine on the day we arrived, which was very nice. However, it was delivered when we were out. Because there was no frigobar in the room we never drank it, since it was very warm. The staff at the reception was really nice and helpful. The hotel price was ok, considering that things in Malaga are expensive. We would not stay there again because of the noise which kept us awake most nights until around 2 when things quiet down.
Response from Property: Dear Maria, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our central location, the comfort and cleanliness of the room, and the friendliness of our staff. As you know, we are located in a very central area close to major tourist attractions, which can influence the surrounding environment. We appreciate your observations about the shower curtain and the lack of a minibar, and we are taking steps to improve these aspects to offer a more comfortable experience for our guests. We regret that these factors affected your stay and thank you for your suggestions for improvement. We are continuously striving to offer better service and value your honest feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a more pleasant experience. The Management

Great location in Centro Malaga at the alcazaba. On a busy street so if you’re going to be early it will be noisy. Had a double room clean and comfy bed. Lovely large bay windows opened up onto the street lots of natural light. Only downside was the bathroom has a shower curtain and no lip / edge to the shower floor — meaning water goes everywhere bathroom absolutely drenched and made it unappealing to use. Staff very lovely tho and cleaned room each day Would recommend staying. Great price great location great rooftop bar and restaurant. Noise at times and bathroom shower curtain downside but minor

Dated hotel. Good location, but very busy due to Malaga Film Festival. We were on the first floor overlooking the street. Very noisy, from revelers enjoying the festival. We didn't know this was going on when we booked at this hotel. Very popular area.
Response from Property: Dear Kitty, Thanks for sharing your experience. We are glad to know that you enjoyed of the location of the Hotel. We are sorry that due to the noise from outside the hotel you weren’t able to rest as you expected. The hotel is located in the old town of Malaga, in a busy area and close to all tourist attractions. We take note of your suggestions. Looking forward to welcoming you soon. Kind regards, The Management.

This is a 3 star hotel in my view which could do with a little TLC in places - having said that, whilst it's not the Ritz, the room and shower were kept spotless by the cleaner- I've never seen a bed made tidier than that! The room had a nice shower & clean towels every day and a chair & table area. It's not salubrious but the price isn't expensive either - I think I paid about 80 euros a night with breakfast which is really cheap - for that price it was. excellent. All the staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was unspectacular but filling once you got use to the menu - you could have this on the terrace if you wanted to. My little waitress was lovely and looked after me really well the four days of my stay. The lift was fine and in good working order at all times. There's even a little lounge area where you can sit and wait a few hours for your taxi before flying home. The hotel fronts on to a very busy street and at night it's very noisy with revellers - and can go on until 3 in the morning - that didn't particularly worry me as I sleep like a log! The location is just brilliant - 5 minutes into town - the Cathedral & Museums and 10 minutes to the park & Port. The beach is about 20 minutes. away. Malaga IMHO is very underrated and there's lots to do here including an excellent flamenco show by the Pompidou museum. I note that another reviewer had a problem with the roof bar seating. It's nice up there but gets really busy at the weekends when the whole of Malaga seems to use it! The white leather sofas are usually reserved in advance and cost around 100 euros and I suspect that's why the aforementioned reviewer was asked to move, as people had paid for that space? The sofas are very sought after as it's standing room only at the weekends. Gerry Urch Thanks, My Stay was lovely and everything that I needed it to be. The staff were all very hard working and all very professional and really nice people. This adds greatly to one's overall experience.

Had a very nice one-night stay 9 Nov. Hotel is centrally located - just about everything you might want to see within a ten-minute walk, most within five! About a 100-meter walk to the Roman amphitheater and the entrance to the Alcazaba. Malaga Cathedral was beautiful - the trip to the roof was spectacular [we did the final entry, at sunset, and it was great]. Hotel itself was very good - clean, spacious, modern rooms. Staff was very helpful with everything and friendly; always found an English speaker. We stayed in a double with balcony, which, in retrospect, was probably not necessary. The balcony offers access to a pedestrian-only thoroughfare, and looked at balconies just across the street, so not a real vista, which the website seemed to indicate. [the cats on the opposite balcony were pretty amusing, tho] And because there are shops and restaurants all along the street, it's a bit noisy well into the night. I thought the vibe was great, but if noise bothers you... The rooftop bar is worth the stay - nighttime view of the Alcazaba is quite something. We uber'd from the airport and it took us a minute to find the entrance to the hotel, which fronts on the the pedestrian street. Would definitely stay again. Recommended.

If you're looking for a fab rooftop bar with a view, look no further. It has a spectacular view of Alcazaba. If you're there at night, it will be all lit up. I recommend the cocktails! Espresso martini and Victoria del caribe we're both very good.

Firstly the staff are wonderful and always on hand to help. Centrally located near the famous indoor market. Despite this, there wasn't any outside noise once shutters were closed. Aircon was noisy. The buffet breakfast was OK, a little bland in our opinion. Our room was a little stuffy, needed a bit of tlc. Shower floor was not safe, it was very slippery. Furniture was cheap, dated and plastic. Comfy bed but awful pillows. Unfortunately we had a visitor in the bathroom A COCKROACH.

My friend who lives in Malaga took me here when I visited. Since I am living in London I get little chances to enjoy sunny rooftop terraces, so she proudly wanted to show me the views from this one. The terrace is located on the roof of a Hotel and you can get there with a lift. There are two small areas left and right with open views on one side only and just wall of the other. The floor space is overrun by seating furniture to maximice profit leaving little space to walk around. When we arrived we luckily found a place to seat on the nice comfy white sofas located by the open side on the right area however as we were waiting for the waiter to come to order, the woman from a group of four with a baby that came with us in the lift but went to left area first, came to us as she saw us well seated and asked us to seat somewhere else because they were more people than us for that space. She made the request sounded as a command which we very politely declined as the rest of the seating options were really worse off and we knew there was plenty of space for them available in the left area where there are only tall tables and chairs (sorry tall chairs are uncomfortable for everyone) She left annoyed and little after the waiter came to say that we should move somewhere else as the sofas were for groups. We said we didn’t mind sharing the sofa area with others as we understood there were 4/5 seats more available but they refused saying it was company policy to use that wider sofa space for groups only. There were two other wider sofas spaces like that in “u”shape, one with two people and three in the other so we found the explanation and the whole situation very unfair, arbitrary but also found humiliating to be told to move whilst people around were looking at us, so we decided to go instead and as we left, without an apology, we had to hear the voice of the uneducated local woman with the baby that came from somewhere in the crowd saying in a loud and sarcastic tone “gooood bye” to top the cake. A sense of entitlement that clearly was enabled by the way the terrace decided to address the situation, as we could know understand that she probably went to rant to the waiters that we were seating there instead of them. Very embarrassing scene for me and more for my friend, who just wanted to impress me. As Spaniard, I am usually quite proud of the customer service in Spain but this place is really not at all an example. I also felt as if I had been local I would have been treated differently. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone but not only because it is small and their lack of professionalism and just money over customer care, but also because if you are a couple or two friends you will never be able to seat in the sofa area by the open side of the terrace according to their “policy”, which is really the only worthy area in the small terrace. Also apparently is a good idea to bring a few months old baby in a buggy to a cocktail bar with not food s
Response from Property: Dear Lu, We are very sorry that you did not enjoy as much as you expected from your stay on our terrace. We apologize if the attention from our staff did not meet your expectation on that occasion. As the colleagues kindly told him, the sofa area is not for groups only, but it is a priority. In this specific case, the companions tried to locate the 8 people together with the babies in a comfortable and wider place, offering you a place in another sofa a little smaller that was also free. Kind regards, The Management.

This is a lovely, traditional hotel in a perfect location. Breakfast was waiter served with a good selection of choices. Nice to have the option of inside and outside seating. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Maid service daily with change of towels. The roof top bar is great with amazing views.

Awful. Read the reviews and thought it can’t be that bad. It is. THIS IS A PARTY HOTEL DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO THE THE ROOF TOP BAR AND STAY THERE ALL DAY AND NIGHT. We arrived and thought wow what a lovely room with a nice with of the Alcazaba, came back after a lovely night out in Malaga (many drinks were had) but got into bed and all you can hear is chairs and party noise from the bar/restaurant, constant noise. Constant boom boom screaming and people wondering into the hallways from the rooftop bar. Went down to complain, nothing they can do musics is on until after 1am which maybe we could deal with but the aircon didn’t work. We had to go down and complain until they did something that turned it on which still is terrible. Do not stay here unless you want to feel like you’re under a dancefloor. All the reviews are right, it’s a noise pollution. Awful.
Response from Property: Dear Customer, We appreciate your comments and we take good note of all of them because they always help us to improve. We don't have music on the terrace, just the hotel's background music, so we don't know where the music came from. We are sorry that you have heard people raising their voices; We try to control the influx of people and where they access, but we continue to work so that our guests are not affected in any way. Regarding the air conditioning, there hasn't been any technical failure recently and the ignition can be controlled from your room or from reception, so you could always have called us to check it. Best regards, The Management

A little hotel with a big personality. The rooms are compact but clean, great service and the showers are amazing. Our balconies looked onto the Main Street and we could watch the Easter parades. Location is excellent - right in the heart of Malaga old town. The breakfast is basic but really nice / exactly what we needed.
Response from Property: Dear Neddy, We hugely appreciate your kind and sincere words because for us your feedback is very important. It is a great pleasure to know that you have enjoyed your stay with us. Kind regards, The Management.

Clean, friendly, very central, quiet. Couldn't fault it. There's also a lovely Rooftop bar. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Couldn't do enough for us. You'd never believe you were so central as it was so quiet at night You won't be disappointed.
