This could be a really perfect spot but there is so much that needs doing to the apartments, in 11nights no one cleaned the appart, no fresh bedding or towels we had to go ask, toilet roll we had to ask for which on a holiday you just dont expect such basic things to be missed. The apartments in and out need a good clean and paint, its very run down sadly. You cannot cook in the room there is no oven sadly. The apartment when we came in was very dusty, the floor was really dirty. Staff wise Marc at reception and Angel at the pool bar are amazing they cannot help you enough and are very welcoming. The pool area is stunning…but if you have young children like us the pool is ICE cold all the time way too cold for children to play in all day….even for adults it was bitterly cold. The food was very nice, the buffet and pool snacks have a great range and all tasty. There is a mini super market on site but doesnt have a great deal in of your planning on buying food to cook, it opens 8am-13:00 then closes until 17:30, the pool snacks also stop at 15:30 and the buffet does not start until 8pm…this can be tricky with kids. Overall a good experience but definitely needs work and seems all reviews say the same things but not much done about it so far

Pros - room was quite large , bed comfy and air con worked . Thats about it . Oh and location to Gibraltar but need car . Cons - very poor customer service - we didnt have a bottle opener - told to go to bar with our bottles to open ! No hairdryer , missing utensils from kitchen , they never answer phone at reception so have to walk there and the staff are never happy to help . Only allowed 1 toilet roll a day , good luck if staying with kids !! They clean the room and change towels every 5 days - but only if you ring and remind them !! No oven in apartment , only microwave so cooking is a challenge . The Balconies have gaps on the wall tops so when your neighbour is smoking every half hour it comes over and into your apartment which isnt nice . Some days were so noisy , someone had a karaoke and were singing really badly all night , teenagers were jumping the fence and jumping into the pool at midnight , no security to be seen ! Extra charges for everything , parking inside the place , a safe if u want it etc etc . No where to walk to , need car . Avoid unless really cheap and you have a car .

Wow Beautiful Resort. Staff very friendly. But some improvements needed within the rooms - Kitchen there is no cooker just hob microwave and dishwasher. Bathroom no hand soap provided and need more toilet rolls etc. No hairdryer provided. Overall some improvements needed on the rooms I.e our patio doors where not sealed correctly and letting in a lot of wind and ants during one day. Although as soon as alerted reception they sent someone out to fix within a few hours that day. The resort is very far away from everything if you plan on not driving and want to visit places get shopping etc then be aware it will be expensive for Taxi,s/ Ubers unless only going 10 mins away from resort. For example we flew into Malaga airport and the drive being approx 1hr 10 minsand Taxi costing anywhere from €140-170+ depending on the driver route they take. We went off on a day trip to Gibraltar that only being 25-30 mins costing approx €39-50 again depending on driver (Ubers going to be cheaper than taxi but found them difficult to book at night) Food- There is a minimart with limited things to buy for food etc if you want to self cater there is not a lot of variety. They have all breakfast costing approx €15 with juice tea coffee included and Dinner Buffett €26 but no drinks provided you have to buy separate unless you want tap water out of the machine. Pool is cold not heated even on a rather warm day it’s still rather chilly. More entertainment for children at night bar for adults and music.
Response from Property: Dear Lindsay, Thank you for sharing your opinion following your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol, We are pleased to hear that you found our resort beautiful and our staff friendly, which is a testament to our commitment to a welcoming and hospitable environment. However, we regret to hear of your concerns regarding the kitchen and bathroom amenities. Our accommodations are designed to balance comfort and functionality, with kitchen facilities including a hob and microwave, and we acknowledge the absence of a cooker. For any missing essentials such as hand soap and additional toilet rolls, our 24-hour reception is always ready to assist. We also take note of the patio door situation you encountered, and we appreciate your acknowledgement of our prompt response to resolve the issue. Regarding the location and transportation costs, we Encourage our guests to check the location prior to booking. Our proximity to Gibraltar, however, offers an accessible option for day trips, and we are glad you could take advantage of this. Additionally, while our pools are not heated, they are an integral part of the resort's relaxation and leisure facilities, and we hope that the atmosphere made up for the temperature during your stay. Finally, we’d like to clarify the price of our breakfast and dinner, which are €14 and €23 respectively. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future for an even more enjoyable stay. Warm regards, E.Ecija, General Manager

Coming to the hotel after only booking the holiday the week before…. Wasn’t too sure what to expect but WOW WOW WOW!!! What a beautiful hotel… the apartment was spotless… staff were so friendly. Entertainment was fab, my children loved it! We all had the most amazing time!! Felt so safe being there. Already looking at coming back again soon! 3 nights wasn’t enough… definitely need a week here next time ☺️ Location is quite far out but we rented a car, not that we needed to leave the hotel.

I gave 4 stars based on the bargain price I paid for our break (£2000 for 2 weeks self catering for 5 people including flights). If I had paid more I would have had higher expectations and would have probably given 3 stars I was worried prior to our visit by previous reviews citing rude staff, poorly maintained buildings, etc etc. I would like to reassure other families like ours (who just want a safe comfy base to stay whilst exploring the local area) that we found the resort absolutely fine for this purpose and we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. In my opinion many of the negative English reviews/and moaning guests were unjustified and from English families who didn't research the resort first. If you hire a car as we did the resort makes an affordable base in a good location to explore up and down the coast at a very reasonable cost. If you do not have a car, it's in a fairly quiet location with very limited options to eat and explore within walking distance so probably not the spot for you. Our experience of the resort overall was good. Staff in reception were helpful and polite and spoke good English. Particularly Roberto and Maria who were very friendly and helpful. We did not eat on resort so cannot comment on restaurant staff. The pools were nice, there were not enough sunbeds but this did not affect us as we only go to the pool to swim after a day out, not to sit around all day. The main pool had a lovely view of the sea and gibraltar. Views at sunset were spectacular. The buildings and grounds were obviously beautiful at one point. They are still fine for the price we paid, but getting the fountains and water features back up and running would improve the look of the resort considerably. However this is reflected in the low prices charged. Our apartment was a 2 bedroom one looking out over the entertainment plaza and the sea. We enjoyed the views from the balcony at breakfast and in the evenings. The apartment was spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms which suited us as a large family with older children. There was no lift in our apartment block which was fine for us with older children, it may have been trickier for those with small children. The aircon in the apartment was excellent. We did not go down to the entertainment but enjoyed several of the shows and quizzes from our balcony. Contrary to other English reviewers, we felt the entertainment team worked hard to make the entertainment accessible to the wide variety of nationalities staying in the resort. Paying for the safety deposit box was an annoying extra expense. I was already aware of the £200 room deposit so expected this. Paying for parking is also pricy, we parked in the road outside for free and would recommend doing so unless you have mobility issues. Our only real complaint about the resort is the cleaning crew. You are meant to have cleaners in every 5 days. On our 5th day someone had obviously been into our apartment as the curtains had been open
Response from Property: Dear Gayle, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol. We are delighted to hear that you found our resort to be a good base for exploring the local area and that you appreciated the helpfulness of our reception staff, especially Roberto and Maria. It's great to know that you enjoyed the pools, the views, and the spaciousness of your apartment. We are also glad that you found our entertainment team to be hardworking and inclusive of all nationalities. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the cleaning service during your stay. We take your feedback seriously and will address this issue with our housekeeping team to ensure that our cleaning standards are met consistently. We appreciate your understanding regarding the parking fees and the safety deposit box charges, as these are in place to maintain the quality of our services and facilities. Thank you for your suggestions on improving the appearance of the resort, and we will take them into consideration for future enhancements. We sincerely hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back. Kind regards, E.Ecija, General Manager

We booked this hotel via On the beach, our deal included flights from our local airport to Malaga and transfers from the airport to the hotel. We were allocated room 5004, the reception staff were friendly and explained the resort to us. Finding the room was difficult though, but eventually we found the entrance in to the block. The room, or rather apartment was very spacious, and was generally quite clean. However, we noticed there were a lot of cobwebs in the corners of every room and a thick layer of dust on the lampshades. The room didn't feel dirty but it could had been cleaner. We stayed half board; the breakfast was the same each morning but plenty of food available. The evening meals changed every evening slightly, we thought the food was generally good - the buffet area is small but there is enough food for everyone including a children's area. During breakfast juice/hot drinks are available included, in the evening only water is included. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, however the restaurant could had been a bit cleaner as well; we noticed food debris remained on the floor for a few days. Our children loved the kids club and nightly entertainment - the entertainment team were brilliant, especially Julia who we were sad to see go towards the end of August. The views from the hotel were incredible, absolutely stunning. We only used the larger pool area, we thought the small pool area was a bit too deep for our children; but the large pool was clean and a good temperature. However, my big gripe with the hotel was that there was not enough sun beds or parasols available - every morning at 9.30am a large queue would form waiting for the gate to the pool to open at 10am in order to grab sunbeds - it was so bad that one morning we witnessed an argument between guests. Even the staff admitted there was not enough sunbeds, for the space available around both pools there really is no excuse from the hotel. Some guests were complaining to the lifeguard, it really was a major disappointment with the hotel. By 10.05am every morning all the sunbeds had been taken. It was a disgrace that guests had to lie their towels on the mud/grass by the pool. To the hotel manager - get more sunbeds, no excuses. The hotel is huge and some parts of it does need repairs, for example some of the walls have large cracks on walls and in a few areas there are loose and dangerous paving slabs. It must had looked great when it was built, but now the fountain areas around some of the accommodation blocks look run down and are unused. The hotel has large areas that are unused, for instance the area around the Circus/entertainment area and the large paving area above the kids club - an idea could be to add sunbeds to these and make them an adults only area for example, take the pressure of the sunbeds at the pool. We did not have a car and was reliant on taxis to get around the area - for most days we were happy to lounge around the pool and sunbathe, but on
Response from Property: Dear Devon, Thank you for this great feedback about your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol. We are glad to hear that you found our apartments spacious and appreciated the stunning views from the hotel. It's also great to know that your children enjoyed the kids club and nightly entertainment, and that our entertainment team made a positive impression on your stay. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the lack of sunbeds and parasols around the pool area. We understand the importance of providing enough facilities for our guests and will take your feedback into consideration for future improvements. Regarding the cleanliness of the apartment and restaurant, we will address these concerns with our housekeeping and restaurant teams to ensure a higher standard is maintained. We appreciate your suggestions for utilizing unused spaces within the hotel and will explore these possibilities to enhance our guests' experience. Lastly, we are sorry to hear about your taxi experience and recommend discussing any concerns with our reception staff who can assist with arranging transportation. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, E.Ecija, General Manager

Family of 4 including 2 teenagers. Clean, comfortable apartment with good air con! Wonderful views and good food. I particularly liked the kitchen cleaning kit so you didn't have to get stuff just to wash up the few items we used. Some entertainment in the evenings and in the mornings. The staff were excellent! They were helpful and friendly and got to know the guests quickly. Yes, you definitely need a car to get around to visit some of the stunning beaches in the area and avoid taxis which can add up. The pools were busy and as we went in to full school holiday mode it was more difficult to get sun beds but that is the same at any holiday hotel. Paid the deposit at check in and it was returned with a couple of days of getting home. Overall, thought the hotel was lovely and would recommend in the future. Had a wonderful time!
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for this lovely review of your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol We are thrilled to hear that you found our apartments clean and comfortable, with efficient air conditioning. It's great to know that you appreciated the beautiful views and delicious food. Our staff takes pride in providing excellent service, and we're glad they made a positive impression on your family. We're also happy that you enjoyed the entertainment and activities available during your stay. We understand that securing sunbeds by the pool can be challenging during peak season, and we appreciate your understanding. As you mentioned, having a car is indeed helpful for exploring the stunning beaches and local attractions in the area. We're glad that your deposit was returned promptly after your stay, and we hope that this added to your overall satisfaction. We look forward to welcoming you back on future occasions. Best wishes, E.Ecija, General Manager

We arrived late on a Saturday night and was greeted by reception staff. The lady was very friendly and assisted all questions that we had. We had free parking on site as we hired a vehicle from the airport. We did not know about the £200 deposit to be paid on arrival, however this was refunded when we left. We were allocated our apartment which was a view over looking the rock of Gibraltar. The room had everything we needed, however this was a little outdated and could do with a paint. Beds were comfortable and had a great nights sleep with air con in the room The pool was very large and clean, only thing they could do with more sun beds around the pool, however there was plenty of seating by the bar area. There is entertainment every evening apart from a Tuesday, the entertainers were were friendly especially Sergio who was assisting us when the entertainment was starting (star of the shows). A lot of entertainment throughout the days for the children and entertainment in the evenings for adults. The pool bar was a little expensive for certain alcoholic drinks, but the drinks are all branded alcohol and tasted amazing Overall a very positive holiday and will definitely return

Hotel had great views over to Sotogrande, Gibraltar and even Africa on clear days. Apartments were fine, clean with good air con, but no oven! Had food first night as got there late, an overpriced buffet (23€ per adult) that didn’t include drinks with not a great choice, so ate out or cooked rest of the week. Drinks also fairly expensive compared to local bars and restaurants. Pool area was good, but the lack of sunbeds with only approx 80 available for a capacity of 200 people, meant most days were lying on our towels on the grass uncomfortably. Location is on a hill away from shops so a car is needed. There was a restaurant at the bottom of the hill by the beach but we ventured a bit further to the local marinas 10 minutes away which had a good choice of bars/ restaurants. Felt the parking charge to park by your room was excessive. A little gripe, I mislaid my iwatch on our last day by the pool. When I asked at reception, I was informed nothing had been handed in and that I should ask lifeguard next day (which I couldn’t as we were leaving early next morning). I tracked my watch, showed reception and it was located a few miles down the road in the same area that the lifeguard lived (informed by reception!) I got reception to phone the lifeguard who said he had it and ‘forgot’ to hand it to their lost property!! Hmmm. As I was leaving next morning, I had to drive that night to collect it from him, even though it was his fault he allegedly forgot to hand it in. There was no offer of bringing it back to the hotel, and not much of an apology when I collected it from him. The hassle of this and the 50 minute round trip to collect it severely lowered my experience of this hotel. Overall, for what we paid it was ok. Would I go back? Probably not.

Came for 10 nights with my family, apartments are not to bad clean and big! Self-catering be aware no oven! Just hob and microwave. Location is in the middle of no where on the top of a very tall mountain. 100% need to hire a car! Taxis are expensive and we're few and long waits at times! Supermarkets are around 13 euros there and 13 back! Hotels mini Market has hardly anything so Supermarkets are a must! You can buy breakfast and evening meals 14 euros per adult 11 per child (6 of us) was pretty expensive. The pool.... really nice pool but fighting for beds every day have to que at least half hour before it opens to get a bed and people literally push you out the way and sprint to beds! There's only one bin for the whole pool it was overflowing by midday. Life guard is there but has his head in his phone all day! No floats aloud in the pool only small rings and arm bands. Some staff are bending over backwards for you others are just rude! Overall not bad for the price but defo wouldn't stay here again :)

not enough sunbeds or parasols around the pool and people still reserving sunbeds with towels and not using them for hours, you will need a taxi to get anywhere as it is remote, walking to the beech is a 20 minute mission we only did once, rooms ok but need decorating, pools are good.
Response from Property: Dear Robert, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our pools and found the rooms to be satisfactory. We appreciate your feedback on the sunbeds and parasols around the pool area. We do provide loungers, but we understand that during peak times, availability might be limited. We will take your comments into consideration for future improvements. Moreover, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the location of our holiday village. Our village is indeed situated in a natural setting, offering a peaceful environment for our guests. We provide a free shuttle bus service to Punta de Chullera public beach, which is just 5 minutes away. We also have a mini-market and several restaurants on-site for your convenience. As for the room decor, we continuously strive to maintain and improve our accommodations, and your feedback is valuable in this process. We have a variety of activities and excursions available for our guests to explore the local area, such as day trips to Morocco, eco-tours of Andalucia's white villages, and visits to Selwo nature park. We hope you had the opportunity to enjoy some of these offerings during your stay. We hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon. Kind regards, E.Ecija, General Manager

A pleasant Resort suitable families not so much for couples. Resort however is a little rundown and could do some general modernization, fresh paint for example. Resort quite a distance from the nearest town, therefore car is definitely required. Prices at the snack bar for drinks and food or reasonable. The on-site convenience shop it's only for basics. We traveled with a dog that is not a problem on the resort with dogs be sure you bring the dogs passport for reception.
Response from Property: Dear Oratava, We would like to thank you for this feedback about your experience at Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol. We are delighted that you had a pleasant experience during your stay with us. Thank you as well for sharing your insight regarding other aspects of your stay. We truly appreciate our guests' feedback as it helps us to continuously improve. While a rental car is advisable to make the most of your visit, we also offer shuttle services and our reception team is always happy to provide information about the available times. We hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon. Kind regards, General Manager
