A true oasis so close to the intensity of the souks. Highlights were the amazing hosting and friendly smile of Marwhan, very comfortable beds, and such a warm, calming place to stay. Capaldi is a great choice, nothing is too hard to help you with.

What an amazing place to stay. In the heart of the Medina. Our luck was in, the other guests had cancelled so we had the whole riad to ourselves with the choice of rooms. Bader and his wonderful team, even though there was just two of us, were faultless. Airport pick up, baggage collection. The recommendations of places to see and eat. The chef cooking us an amazing dinner on the roof terrace by the open fire is a memory forever. Breakfast was gorgeous too. Bader helped finaluse when we had arranged a desert quad bike trip. Exceptional but that's on another review. The people of Marrakech are lovely and funny with the most wonderful sights, sounds and smells had us captivated. It had been on our bucket list, now it's back on again for another visit. Thank you Bader and the wonderful team, for making a truly exceptional never to be forgotten experience.

It's a relaxing riad with good size plunge pool and an informal atmosphere. The rooms were beautifully designed, cleaned everyday with hand pressed bed linens. Traditional breakfasts on the terrace overlooking roofs of the city and the Atlas mountains were as as spot on as our evening glasses of local wine. It's situated close to medina's main square and a friendly member of staff can escort you there to make sure you don't get lost in the narrow streets. There is a mosque opposite, so be warned that the first call to prayer is at 4:30-ish. However, bizarrely, we go used to it and it enhanced our experience in Capaldi's. Do yourself a favour and go!

Super welcoming staff! lovely big rooms, quite and nice atmosphere. overall a lovely stay, the rooftop needs a bit of attention (a bit messy and only one sunbed). the area is a bit rough, but there is a lovely security guard at the end of the street, who gets rid of most of the people who are trying to trick tourists.

The stay at Riad Capaldi was A . It's a quiet and peaceful riad, beautifully decorated inside and very comfortable in the rooms. The Oulidia room with private terrace was amazing also. If I could give a higher rating it would go to Marouane and Bader and their wonderful housekeeping team. They all went out of their way to give us the best personalized experience. From planning out our daily itinerary, restaurant recommendations, sightseeing excursions, or just chilling in the riad, these guys and their amazing local knowledge with a personal touch was just fantastic. We definitely got the best we could out of Marrakesh thanks to the whole team at Riad Capaldi. I would definitely stay there again if we go back.

Enjoyable stay at the Riad Capaldi. All the staff (Badr, Suad, Atiqah, Marwan) were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Decently located in the Medina, but about a 20 min walk to most of the main sights. While we enjoyed our stay, the property is definitely overpriced compared to the quality. At almost $500 for 3 nights, we expected more in terms of amenities. The offerings are bare bone - not even basic bottled water is provided, let alone tea, coffee, or snacks. Considering that this is a very old property with limited amenities, it is heavily overpriced. We had several plumbing issues during our stay, and in fact could not even use our shower due to flooding. While I understand this is an old property and these issues are likely to happen, management should keep this in mind and price accordingly especially considering how basic the rooms and offerings are. Also, if you are arriving at the train station I do not recommend using the hotel transport at 200 MAD which is a complete rip off. The train station is about a 10 min drive and a local taxi costs less than 50 MAD for that same journey.

This was our first visit to Marrakech and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The Riad arranged transport from the Airport and we were met at the point where a car could go no further down the maze of narrow alleys that make up the central part of the Medina. A five minute walk led us to non-descript heavy door down a covered lane which, when opened, led into a bright and airy courtyard with a plunge pool and casual seating. What lay inside could not have been predicted from the outside - this made it not only a surprise but a welcome respite form the chaos of the surrounding area through which we had to pass each time we came 'home'. We were led upstairs to our room on the first floor which proved to be clean, comfortable, traditionally furnished and with a set of stairs up to a small outside space with a couple of sun-beds. Sometimes a little dark , the room nevertheless provided a perfect place to rest our heads for our three night stay and we were very happy with it. Towels and toiletries supplied were fine and the room was serviced daily. Breakfast was served on the roof from which views over the rooftops towards the mountains could be had (but only when standing up and from certain points!). The air over Marrakech when we were there was very hazy so only the outline of the Atlas could be seen most days. Pancakes, bread, jams and marmalades were all on offer as were delicious omelettes. Staff members Morwan or Batar were always on hand to serve beer or wine should you wish to relax on the roof with a drink in the evening and, more importantly, to provide advice on how to get to places and where to eat. On our first evening Batar booked a restaurant for us then walked to it with us pointing out landmarks on the way to ensure we found our way back again! He offered to do this again the second and third evening and this made life much easier - the places he recommended were excellent and we would not have found them without him; no bright lights, no signage, just a plain door in an old building which opened up into something much larger, brighter and inviting than you could have imagined from the outside. The Riad Capaldi was perfect for our stay. A decent but fascinating walk from Jemaa El Fnaa square through the Souks, close to the Photography Museum (well worth an hour of your time) and a short walk out to a point where taxis could be had if you want to go further. Providing you don't mind a 4.30am call to prayer through a loudspeaker attached to a close-by Mosque, (we found it added to the experience!) the wonderfully friendly staff, fine rooms and cool interior will make your stay in this fantastic city unforgettable.
